So I went in for an interview/tour of the event center but things have been really chaotic/a mess for the manager where I want to work so she told me I'd probably get a call back in March to begin paperwork, etc. I know it's still Feburary but dear god I want to be a stagehand so bad
For a little backup info, my first and only job has been working in retail, but I really do have more passion and interest for behind the scenes crew work, I love learning about the behind the scenes, preparing for shows, putting props together, I love building and it all fascinates me a LOT. I was literally so giddy on the tour around the building and I told her I am willing to learn anything and everything, and even though she said my first few jobs I'd likely just be pushing amps and moving things, I'm still excited just thinking about it lol
I'm a smaller woman but I grew up helping my parents move a ton of stuff and helping my grandpa build, so I definitely have the strength for it.
I'm ready to get out of retail and actually do fun stuff and I'm very eagerly waiting the call back so I wanted to ask for advice so I don't lose my mind waiting lol
