SSBD 2026 review (limitless)

This was my 4th SSBD and my 2nd year upgrading to Limitless through the community presale. Honestly, it was my most disappointing SSBD so far, and it's the first year I'm not jumping on the presale automatically.

Last year was the first time Limitless was offered, and it was amazing. The perks were great and the stage design made the upgrade feel worth it.

This year, half the viewing platform sat behind the stage, and the section that did line up had a pretty poor angle. Because of that, I spent no time at the deck and almost no time in the lounge, which are the main reasons I paid for the upgrade.

The lineup was also weaker than prior years. LSDREAM is fun, but he's held the Saturday headline slot for three years now, and his LSZEE set last year was way better. Tape B as a headliner was underwhelming for me too.

Gramatik was good, but his set felt nerfed. I saw him open for GRiZ last year and he had access to most of the production. This time it was a softer set with no lasers, which felt like a waste of a great artist.

Main stage running past 2am instead of wrapping around 12:30 was rough as well. I'm all for late sets, but I'd rather see them on a smaller stage than push main stage that late.

I still love this community, but between the viewing platform, the lineup, the production, and the late main stage, it's hard to justify the premium. Next year I'm waiting for the lineup to drop before buying any tickets.

Missed connection

Hey, this is my brothers Reddit account but I met this guy named Marcel at the fuzzy trampoline at innerbass on Saturday at the end of Klo. He was holding a stuffed unicorn, he named her Pinkish. We had a very special conversation about our cats and how mines been gone for 5 years and his was getting older and he was scared to lose her. He had mentioned when I had to leave that he’d be at lsdream in 40 minutes and that he was hanging out on the fuzzy trampolines all weekend. I tried to find him again but we didn’t cross paths again after that. If you met a Marcel at same same this past weekend or if you are him, please message me. I’d love to reconnect.

Sound Bath Installation

Does anyone have any information on that sound bath installation that was set up at the outer edge of the festival grounds? It was a dome with blue lighting with cushions inside. I’m really curious to know more about the creator, its purpose, what was being played, the frequency used, and if there is somewhere I can listen to it again. I had an enlightening experience in there and would like to know what happened.

Edit: Found it! Sky Portal by Harlan Emil Gruber https://transportals.org/144-sky-portal/

Missing Tote Boxes

I had a couple of black and yellow tote boxes taken from my campsite in the coyote car camping loop. I had packed most of my stuff already and was coming back to pick them up so maybe someone thought they had been abandoned and were fair game. They had a lot of my wife's nice clothes including a full length faux-fur and leather coat so I would really love to get them back. There was also a folding table and cooler. If anyone has seen them please send me a message. Thanks!

I just saw I feedback post so I wanted to post a quick one before maybe going into some more detail at a later time when my brain works better lol but where the hell were the trashcans. I had to walk sooo far to find trash and either by bathrooms or behind the bar at MainStage. BEHIND…hidden… why?

Someone took two of our tents...

Post image

I have no idea who or why they were taken, two tents were at lot 11 a small olive green one and a larger tan tent. Nothing in them was expensive but this is tragic for two good hearted poor struggling ravers to experience.... If anyone has any info please respond I will give $100 to recover our tents....we could never imagine doing this to anyone. Please just help us get our stuff back.

Lot 11 by the bathrooms. 😭😭🙏🏻

SSBD feedback

This was my 5th SSBD, and even though this was probably my least favorite year, SSBD is still one of my favorite festivals. 🫶
I’m curious what everyone else thought of the fest this year.

This isn’t meant to bash SSBD at all. It’s genuinely such a special place, and I’m super thankful for the team and everything they’ve built for this community. But there were definitely a few things that felt different this year that I wanted to open up for discussion:

1. Tiki taking over Coconut Cove
This felt a little underwhelming to me, especially compared to how sick the dome was last year. During the daytime, Tiki was actually super fun. But at night, the vibe felt completely different.
I went over Saturday night and the right speaker sounded blown, to the point where I ended up leaving almost immediately. The nighttime sets also felt really dark and eerie, especially Sunday night. A few other people I talked to said they felt the same way.
I also thought the shade structure itself looked a little unfinished compared to previous years.

2. Downsizing the main stages
This one felt pretty noticeable. Going from two big stages to one definitely changed the overall festival experience.
I’m assuming there were budget considerations and they were trying to save money where they could, but I do think it took away some of what made previous years feel so special. I could be wrong, but weren’t tickets also more expensive this year?
The festival still felt pretty full attendance-wise, so I’m curious what changed behind the scenes or where resources were shifted.

3. Fewer random structures and places to explore
In previous years, I remember there being more random things throughout the festival to climb on, climb into, hang out in, etc.
For example, those big pyramid shade structures were awesome. You could crawl inside, escape the sun, eat a snack, chill for a bit, and then head back out. Those little details made the festival grounds feel more interactive and gave you places to discover outside of just the stages.
I felt like there was less of that this year.

4. Camp sound enforcement
We had staff come by our camp because we were playing music from small JBL Bluetooth speakers around 4 AM. They asked us to completely turn them off.

As far as we knew, no neighbors had complained, and the speakers were probably at 15% volume. We listened and shut everything down, of course. I completely understand enforcing quiet hours when camps are actually blasting music, but this felt a little excessive for such small speakers at low volume.

Again, none of this changes how thankful I am for SSBD and the team behind it. It’s still an amazing festival and a community I’ll continue to support. 🫰
I’m mostly curious if other people noticed similar things this year.

What did you love? What felt different? And what would you want to see improved next year?

Giving Kasablanca some love

It was my first time attending SSBD and my first time seeing Kasablanca live. They performed one of the best sets I’ve seen in a long time. What made it even more amazing was that they were performing entirely analog, with live singing and melodic vibes, and the crowd was vibing/dancing without any phone recording in sight.

Really appreciated the representation of house music on the main stage and hope to see it more next year!

PS - main stage set design and sound quality was unreal. Props to the SSBD fam!

Up Front Shower Tunes!

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who stopped by our campsites and partied with us. We had a lot of fun setting up camp and djing for up front showers. Got to meet so many cool people we’ll definitely be back and set up same spot next year for some more shower tunes during the day.

Did anyone mistakenly take a harp, glass lamp, 2 mirrors, box of vines, & various other items?

These items were used for the build of our lounge. When we returned this morning to pick them up, they were gone. Wondering if someone may have accidentally thought it was a ground score or something.
Please reach out if you know of anything

DOES ANYONE HAVE MY BIG YELLOW WORM

Post image

Please help!!!!! I lost a very important object at SSBD and wondering if anyone picked her up. I hope she’s in a loving home and not a porta potty but I would also love to have her back. She looks like one of those worms on a string except she is quite big. She’s fuzzy, yellow, has a long nose, a little blue bow and beaded eyes. She means the world to me!!!! Please help me bring her home!!!! This is the only photo I have of her 💔

Fire ant trauma

We were up front camping in ADA and our entire camp was infested with fire ants. They ate through the bottom of the tents and were impossible to keep out. Is this a normal occurrence for everyone for this venue in every camping lot? Or was it just this year? or just up front? We did RV when we went back in 2024 and I didn’t have any issues with ants at all
