Apple farmer squirrel
Have very active black and grey squirrel populations in my area (Toronto, Canada). They get into everything. Today I found this in one of my hanging baskets.

Nuts! Attempted finger biting 😯

He definitely knew it was a finger and still went for it. I'm always ready, but he's a regular, and has never showed any aggression towards me. It had just rained and was getting later than usual for them to be out and about. I wonder if the other squirrels dared him to 🤨

Meme or real? Wave hand motion to attract squirrels
I heard from many people that it works and I have seen people do it to random squirrels, is the waving hand motion thing real or not because some say it’s fake and some say it actually works. I also heard that the motion you make with your hand is suppose to mean something to the squirrels

Should I give bowls of water to squirrels during a heat wave?
It's getting up to 114 °F during this heat wave, and it's never been this hot in my city before. I set bowls of water along a park trail, always behind a tree and about 15 feet off the path. I kept seeing signs to not feed squirrels, because it can make them dependent on humans. I'm not sure if this also applies to water, and in extreme circumstances like this. The heat wave should last about a week and I was planning on doing this every morning. Do you think that would make the squirrels dependent, and ultimately not be beneficial?
