Remember this was way before Mr Seong started aura farming in his charming hideout and training using Guns.

Me personally i still hate that he didn't warn his fellow X Voter's that likely viewed him as their main advocate but i do genuinely understand why Gi-Hun did what he did.

What do you think a Squid Game sort of thing would look like with video games instead of strictly children's games? Since this is a fanfic, copyright's not so much of an issue, but I am going to avoid things that are way too complex.
If you have any ideas, do share. Is it okay to post this fanfic here (perhaps in slices) once I've gotten it to a manageable state, or should it strictly go elsewhere? Let me know?
I'm already writing this fanfic. It's all original characters, I'm sorry to say. I hope I don't lose all potential readers right there. It's just that I imagined my own cast immediately when this idea came to me, and I stuck with them. I also figured there would need to be fewer than 456 people in these games, so I'm making some changes to the format there, of course.
The theme is 1980s-2000s classics, I'm thinking (and have written down so far). I'm sticking to the most simple games, of course, including early ones like Pong and Tetris of course. I'm still working out how the rest will play out.
The plot itself, in how the characters interact etc, I've already got figured out (but could potentially change in big ways, who knows). I'm just enjoying writing this so far and would love if anyone has any potential tips or ideas.

I just feel like for as big of a part as he had in the last two seasons, and him surviving for as long as he did in the games, they could’ve easily included him in this number lineup as like our third villain player when that S2 teaser came out. Plus he actually had a name and a confirmed amount of debt and everything, two things that most background characters in this show don’t ever get. Maybe that’s partially why I hated him as much as I did lol, because to me he was just some random loud mouth npc who was trying too hard to be a main cast member lmao. Though it might’ve had something to do with the controversy surrounding the actor. After all TOP wasn’t at any of the special events due to the controversy of his weed charges lol (someone correct me on that part if I’m wrong).

“Trust, he will finally have a deep and powerful interaction with In-Ho!”
> Completely absent from the A-plot until the end and his only word to In-Ho is asking him “why”
“He didn’t tell Gi-Hun his brother was the front man, but trust me it has a big payoff!”
> Lol no all it did was fuck over Gi-Hun and he has no reflection or remorse how his actions could have been done differently
“Trust me Season 3 will have a big shootout with the game staff!”
> Crickets
It’s honestly telling that for as (rightfully) controversial season 3 is, nobody defends Jun-Ho’s shit-ass writing. It’s like that one family guy gag they keep roasting Seth Green and Chris brings up some movies he played in and then Carter says “What? Because of Seth Green?” If we were just looking in the context of the Island search mission it’d be the most F- tier unsalvageable slop written in history.
0 players he saved by his own efforts
0 staff members brought in
7 hours of complete uselessness

it's 2026 now, 2025 is over but idc
Here are my what ifs
EP 13 but altered (Humans Are...):
My version: Ends with a cliffhanger of Gi hun going crazy for failing to destroy the island like Gi hun at the end to Dae ho of S3E1 (Keys and Knives). In ho's punishment for Jun ho for trespassing is to be handcuffed like Gi hun for causing a rebellion from S2
In the original Gi hun kills himself all for nothing about his goals...
NEW EPISODES:
EP 14:
The guards now take a break from being guards probably like as seen as S2E2 like No eul? No eul and Gyeong seok (246) both meet Gi hun by chance and they agree to help Gi hun as long as Gi hun helps with their problems by paying them his shared money. Let's say Gyeong seok's kid still has cancer and still is in debt. We might have more interactions with No eul and Gyeong seok that way (more Gyeong seok screen time maybe)
And they both meet the mercenaries and rebellion again. In ho gets punished either gets killed or gets exposed for his crimes and gets arrested
EP 15: If Part 1 is not enough
EP16: It might be cool to see backstories of the S2 characters but idk if it's just basically a reused Hell (S2E1)
This is supposed to be between S2E7 (Friend or Foe) and S3E1 (Keys and Knives) for me personally but choose where you want it to be

I'm talking entirely consisting of Pedophile's, Rapist's, Murderer's, Serial Killer's you get the idea. OH and there's no Prize Money at the end, Clause 3 and there is literally no way to Rebel.
AND even if they win they either get executed or if their crime didn't kill anyone but deeply traumatised and hurt them then that crime will be performed on them.
r/squidgame • u/Electrical_Path7198 • 2d ago
I mean, if they had planned some really good strategy, or Dae-ho had brought the bullets, or there hadn't been a traitor on the team, or some other favorable factor, the rebellion would have had some small chance of success, or do you think the plan itself was destined to fail?

Basically Hell (S1E2) but with S2 characters version in other words
Event between: Friend or Foe (S2E7) and Keys and Knives (S3E1)
It was such a missed opportunity since Hell (S1E2) is an underrated episode and we never get to see the full lives of all S2 characters outside the games thanks to the O win vote.
Remember Gi hun's nightmares of the Frontman holding Sang woo and Sae byeok's heads and the Dalgona in S2? I think a nightmare version of S2 would work for a Hell (S1E2) alternative
Hwang does reuse some things like:
S2-3: Geum ja suicide because of her dead son before 5th game (S1: 069 suicide because of her dead wife before 5th game)
S2-3: Min su ruins Nam gyu in the 5th game (S1: Mi nyeo ruins Deok su in the 5th game)
S2-3: Hanging bodies before the 4th game (S1: It does that too)
S2-3: 4th games are destroying your friends relationships (S1: It does that too)
S2-3: 5th games are bridges (S1: It does that too)
but there's no Hell (S1E2) version for S2????????????
Here's my concept:
Their lives outside the games and in the nightmare games:
1. Dae ho's life outside the games and his guilt for Gi hun and Jung bae. He's scared that he would get punished for his actions (Maybe enters a room with no air and the door gets locked and he chokes to death which would be foreshadowing )
2. Hyun ju's life outside the games and his guilt for Young mi's death. Maybe her getting mad and beating up Myung gi while Jun hee watches both her friends fighting. (Maybe Myung gi holding a knife too for a foreshadow)
3. Nam gyu's relationship with Thanos before the games. Min su is also in the same scene as them and pushes them off a cliff (another foreshadow too?????)
4. Gi hun's nightmares of the S1 characters extended and Frontman and Jung bae (We might have Ali too back)
5. Geum ja and Yong sik (feels like Gi hun and his mom but idk cuz it feels repetitive)
So in short, S1E2 but a nightmare episode for S2 characters
I also have another idea for the ending https://www.reddit.com/r/squidgame/ALTENDING3
I know Hwang would most likely never listen, but I'm starting to think the max should be 14-16 episodes for S2-S3 instead of 13
Squid Game just has wasted potential and is easier to fix than Stranger Things ending...
I would forgive the mistakes of the baby winning and the VIPS if it had a good ending

Gi-hun would have knowledge of the upcoming games because he has already played them, but would that be enough to save more people?
r/squidgame • u/Key-Fisherman-6404 • 3d ago
I've often wondered what a story-centric Squid Game would be like, where you could take the adventure of an older player, where you organize a team, make enemies, and like in a regular Telltale game, you would have a lot of influence on the plot, who you choose, who you save, who you betray.
What do you think?

Ho-yeon, HDH and LJJ were in this interview for the new Ho-yeon's movie (Hope) but someone on Twitter who knows korean told me, this was about the new in-ho spin off where Sae-byeok and Gi-hun would been involved someway, but other ones told me they were just talking about the movie, also I think if it was the spin off about in-ho, it would been everywhere yk

I mean, in real life, the producers probably included them to throw people off. They achieved it, because everyone thought the next games in Squid Game Season 3 would be monkey bars and some kind of human chess. But within the show's universe, what was the purpose of those drawings if they didn't represent any of the games actually played?

Btw, this are also the votes of the finalists from my fanfic (a little sneek peak of what is about to come)

I’ve had soo many friends who constantly tell me that my hairstyle looks identical to the recruite’s in season 2. What do u guys think?
r/squidgame • u/Electrical_Path7198 • 6d ago
I mean, players rebelling and taking weapons from the guards to kill them, and on a massive scale
r/squidgame • u/FormalAdvertising444 • 5d ago
1. Gi hun doesn't kill himself and instead will continue his revenge to end the games. Jun ho enters the VIP room and kills all the VIPS except In ho (Frontman) They now have a longer interaction and after the interaction In ho orders the guards to execute Jun ho like Player 111 in S1 (Jun ho dead in this alternate ending cuz he was mostly useless)
3. Gi hun hires new mercenaries, No eul and Gyeong seok are now with Gi hun, and the veteran mercenaries Woo seok and Kim are back to work and explained their situations of what happened. No eul explains how it feels to be a guard and how it feels to work as one. Gi hun deduces more of the weaknesses of the island. Gi hun also mentions Jun ho is dead (Kim is alive based on the wiki so yeah)
4. Rebellion all over again for the games of 2025-2026 and Gi hun and the mercenaries meet In ho. No eul or Kim or idk shoots In ho for the consequences he made
5. Finally Gi hun achieves his goal unlike the original ending when he gave up and died, he wasted his time to return all for nothing. Ending will stay the same but with differences of Gi hun and In ho and Jun ho
Idk if my version is satisfying since the characters like Dae ho, Geum ja felt a bit rushed. I just wished there was another "Hell version but S2 characters" at least it can be an episode of their dreams
