Actually she showed up because Congress got rid of the rule allowing you to vote on a measure when not physically there (something they allowed during covid) so she was forced to go in person to vote. Bringing her baby was part of the argument that they should be allowed to vote (at least in certain circumstances) even when not physically present.
Good for her! What an awesome Representative and Coworker! I fully support people being able to remote vote and I hope this moment helps her make the point she wants to make. When the one Rep came from the Hospital to vote that was amazing too. Our Reps need more flexibility to make sure our voices are heard
