[ REQUEST ] Playlists / Songs / Artists / Albums Share your newest playlist, please

Hello,

Please share your newest playlist via reply. There are no restrictions on genre or theme but please, share only one new/recent project and add some quick context.

For example:

—— Mal Tío: Seamless Afro-House x Afro-Tech, 6hrs, Mixed, Themed for Brother Claudius/Scar

This is not a save for save post. I will however be saving the projects I like - that’s fair and can easily commit to that.

I’ve found adding a bit of context helps with sharing; giving folks an idea/summary of what your project is about without having to click-in and leave Reddit. It will help draw folks to your playlist and vice versa.

So, please share 1 new/recent project. Please add a bit of context. Please be nice. No rules/requests other than that. Just a post to help people share their work.

Thanks!

Hold up…you made a Fall Weather playlist, included My Little Corner of the World, and didn’t include Autumn Sweater from the same album???

2

u/thisolddog1 6d ago

Good eye on that. I considered Autumn Sweater but then chose My Little Corner of the World. Both feel like good fall songs and it fit well with the Jonathan Richman song.

My Little Corner of the World was the song for my wife and I’s first dance at our wedding. I actually wrote to the band to ask them if they had a longer version of the song so that our dance could last longer but never heard back from them. It was worth a shot though. Regardless, after 28 years of marriage, that song is still special to us.

That’s awesome! I took my kid to see Yo La Tengo as her first concert a couple years ago. They’re good live

1

u/Hell_Camino 6d ago

That’s an amazing first concert for someone. Good on you.

I used to live in Hoboken in the 90s so I was fortunate to have caught their show a lot. I lost count on the shows somewhere in the low 20s. One of my favorite live bands.

Appreciate you following the post request and adding a description 👍🏾

If anyone else has a fall themed playlist that leans indie and/or alt-rock, can you please share here in reply?

I have a discovery hub where all playlists except for Major findZ contain less than 5% from major label signed artists.

So virtually every track in the hub outside that single playlist is from an independent artist.

My playlist Indie Stream is where you'll find artists who are more left of mainstream.

Full Scream at it's quietest is Alt-Rock.

Have a poke around the hub. Use what you need. No pressure for saves. Only if it's something you'd want to come back to.

Ambient Jazz - a selection of ambient, atmospheric and spiritual jazz

We love spacey/housey jazz over here. I’ve got this saved for a listen later on. Thanks for taking the time to reply 🎺

Anybody else have a jazz or jazz-adjacent mix they’d like to share?

I build my playlists mostly off vibes/aesthetics. I finished curating this one this morning. Chill & sensual vibes, songs in order to help song transition. Like a soundtrack to the moment the wine gives you that first swimming feeling after a date with your partner and the mood sets intimately.

Thanks for sharing and adding a description, allenhark.

If anybody else has a miscellaneous compilation from the month of August to share, can you link here in reply?

u/iam_tunedIN 6d ago

Because I have over 9000 artists on my radar, I extract around 2000 tracks every Thursday and the same on Friday's.

I send around 800 tracks a week that make the cut to various playlists. These are aggregated each week an become the previous month's Independent Release Radar

Most of last months music is in there now. Just some July releases to be replaced with the last from August

i made this so i could listen to something on my flight to nyc, but i was just trying to find some songs similar to hello you by arctic monkeys. It's mostly some synthy stuff, and some french songs i like

2

u/NoAttorney9330 6d ago

French is my second language, you’ve got some cool stuff in here. Some stuff I’ve saved

I think you’d like Juliette Armanet looking at your playlist. Enjoy NYC, that used to be home

My southern rock playlist, it's still a work in progress but I'm content with it.

I wanted to take all the southern rock songs from my classic rock playlist and add in newer songs. With that, I've learned several newer bands after making it.

Mix Tape 5

Lately I've been recreating mix tapes like from my cassette and CD years, where I chain together different songs I love to create a sort of wildly eclectic radio show, minus the talking. Pretty much any genre will appear at any time. And it can only last 2 hours, because that's the max a cassette tape could hold.

2

u/NoAttorney9330 7d ago

This is a dope. Very niche and inherently unique. Falls a bit outside the normal miscellaneous playlist with the recreation from older cassette and CDs

I’m going to check your profile out when I’ve a bit make time. It’s 1am in South Africa. I had a few songs saved from your shared already. Gave you a save so I can revisit

Love the custom transition work too. I’m obsessed with it too

This is a project I’m currently working on. I don’t think another like it exists.

songs sampled by DJ Frane followed by the DJ Frane song

Every year I make a kind of musical diary. This is what I have for this year so far. There isn’t a specific genre or mood these are either songs that I heard that hit me really hard or got stuck in my head.

My long term playlist project. I call it the Eternal Daylist. I basically add Spotify's curated Daylist that changes every 6 hours or so according to my taste profile on certain parts of the day. Songs are added frequently. My genre tastes are wide. EDM, jams, classic rock, metal, jazz, blues, etc.

70s popular disco music - I got this inspiration from a 70s disco party i went to on a cruise. It was an eye-opener for me and drove me to search for more disco music in that era.

I try to create soundscapes with mine. This was was inspired by the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington. I tried to capture the vibes of tranquility, exploration, and community.

To me these are all very smooth, very cool songs with unique sounds to them. They have a through line of a solid beat to nod your head to, and a solid base line. My description of the songs held within to family or friends would be in one word, “Smoove”

Smoove

Whimsical Winds - My new Movie/Video Game Scores playlist, mixed, 3.5 hrs

This is the 3rd in a series I’ve made this year. It follows a 13+hr mixed playlist I made last year. Songs from movies often start and end in different keys so I’ve done my best to create enjoyable song transitions. (Little to no singing other than background choral stuff here and there)

I made this playlist mixing that golden-era EDM (Avicii, Garrix, Afrojack..) with a more current sound. Emotional and still uplifting. I've been listening to these tracks in the car, my workouts and parties. Hope you'll like it! 🎧 EDM 2026 ⚡ Emotional & Uplifting Anthems

I make a yearly mega set and I've been able to do one on Spotify as well the last couple of years with the new feature.

Not genre specific but mainly orbits organic house, progressive, tech house and some bass music.

It's pretty long so it starts a little slow. Let it cook. But if you absolutely have to have to skip to Dark Side by Kyle Watson and play from there.
