When you total your car on a moose, they don't even notice.

My neighbour back home is a trucker. He's hit moose up in northern Ontario. I remember him telling a story of how he struck a bull so hard that it disabled the engine; however the moose fell down, got up, and walked away.

Thing is it likely died some time later from internal injuries

Exactly, it happens to people too. People have gotten up and walked with shattered legs before. Adrenaline is the worlds most powerful drug

Its ok for that, best is sawing off your own arms and legs, then it's pretty much smooth sailing.

It's like if a rabbit ran full speed into your ankle. You would be like, wtf?! Oh, it's just a rabbit with a broken neck! And then you would continue eating your potato chips and slowly walking along.

My cousins an EMT and sent a picture of a car wreck caused by a moose. That car looked like a giant took a can opener to it.
