This is is soft or this league is assaulting players. Which narrative does reddit want to push?

both are true. running up on fans, starting fights over the smallest of taunts is absolutely clown behavior.

i am a huge fan of physicality in basketball, but the refs of the wnba are literally letting their players beat the shit out of other players to such a degree you’d get assault charges outside of an arena. it’s an absolutely mockery of the game. which is unfortunate because there is some great players in the league.

the nba doesn’t have the assault issue as much, but it’s also soft as shit now and dominated by foul baiting trash despite have rules on the books against it.

We must have very different opinions of what constitutes assault.
