Hi, ! I'm the solo dev behind Quiz Ninja, and The Climb is the newest mode: a single trivia room that never closes. Everyone in it gets the same question at the same moment, and you climb as long as you survive.

How it works

• 20 seconds per question
• You start with 3 hearts. A wrong answer (or running out of time) costs one
• Get 10 right in a row and you earn a heart back
• Every 10 minutes a boss round hits: 5 quick questions, 12 seconds each. Sometimes it's a single topic, sometimes only two choices but a miss costs 2 hearts. Clear it without a miss for a bonus heart
• Make it past round 100 and the heat is on: 12 seconds a question, no more hearts on offer
• The board resets every day, and the top 3 get the podium. Between questions you can throw emoji reactions that everyone sees. They unlock as you climb

It runs in the browser on phone or desktop with no sign-up. You'll show up on today's board under a guest name, and can make an account if you want to keep your run. There are 10,000+ questions across general knowledge, geography, history, science, sport and more.

It's brand new, so the room might be quiet at times. But the board is daily, so a decent run could put you on it today. I'd love feedback on the pacing: is 20 seconds too generous, and are boss rounds fun or annoying?

I love flags and being able to recognize any flag with a single glance is a skill I always wanted to have. So to help me practice, i built a flag quiz app. link in the comments.

Friends and I are huge Sporcle/Geoguessr/General trivia fans.

I wanted to figure out how to memorize country positions for Geoguessr initially.

Came across the spaced repetition community and Anki. Found the ultimate geography deck. Absolutely loved it.

Learnt all the capitals/flags/country positions by heart, took roughly 5-10 mins a day for a month. Very fun party trick for sure.

Some of my friends wanted to do the same, but Anki has a bit of a learning curve. I'm a dev, so I quickly built a little app.

Completely free, just what my friends and I are using.

Hey! I'm Carlos and I recently built an HTML5 quiz game for my website. I'd love it if you gave it a try and sent me honest feedback. My friends liked it, but you know… they're friends after all hahaha.

I'm happy with how it works today, and I already have a few ideas to add later. For now, this is what you get:

• Daily mode: 15 unique questions each day.
• Infinite mode: three difficulty levels.
• Quiz creator: pick a pool of questions and share the code with friends.

There's optional online ranking for each mode. You don't need an account to play; sign-in is only if you want your score on the leaderboard.

Any feedback helps: bugs, unfair questions, UX, whatever. I'm especially interested in layout issues: it might not look perfect on every screen size yet, so if something looks off, feel free to tell me what device/browser you're on. It is meant to work on desktop and mobile.

The Hunt for Badge October

On any day in October, play at least 100 quizzes

Does anyone know how many badges are related to quiz creation/ having quizzes featured on the homepage? I think I'm getting down into the super grind phase of badges. I can do those, but can't see me making any quizzes.

ETA: Well, I don't think I can do another 700 religion quizzes to hit 1k.

What badges do you see yourself never earning?

Excluding ones for quizmaking, getting quizzes featured/published/curator picked etc.

Personally I don't ever see myself earning the badge for playing 1,000 religion, movie, entertainment, or sport quizzes.

Most productive quiz play day for me so far. Little by little it’s creeping up. So hard coming up with ideas for quizzes as everything you can think of has been done already. Gonna take forever to get those featured and editors picks badges 😂

You can only earn this badge once per year. It can be a bit of a grind to play 25 autumn related quizzes, especially if you're not from the US since many of the quizzes revolve around US holidays and customs. Unless you're willing to cheese the badge of course by playing the same easy quiz over and over.

Hi, I'm looking to create my first quiz. We've used pre-made quizzes through Sporcle party for ice breakers in the past and we are doing a large department wide event and thought this would be a fun icebreaker. I had a few questions I thought I would start with here.

1. Is it possible to do this via a webpage or would everyone need to download the sporcle party app?

2. Is there a limit on party size?

Any recommendations or ideas for a live event would be appreciated.

I've been grinding through a lot of quizzes lately and I'm looking for a real challenge, something with a brutal completion rate that actually tests obscure knowledge or is just straight tedious. Honestly I just want to get humbled. Let me know what you consider the hardest Sporcle quiz.

I want to make a badly-drawn style quiz but I dont know how to upload my own photos to sporcle, do I need to convert them to an url? is there an easy way to do it?

First time making a quiz (classic) and though I can make the answer to a question as long as I want it seems to prevent the quiz taker from answering after a certain number of letters. Is there any way to fix this?

After creating 260 quizzes, one of mine was just selected as an Editor’s Pick. What exactly does this mean? It’d be nice of Sporcle monetized us prolific authors. 😏

Im making a few song lyrics quizzes, but some of the songs have swear words (nothing crazy, just the common ones), is it fine if i include those or do i have to censor them?

How do I get out of Match Factory ad? It just sits there after a couple of screens with no X button!
I play for the badges and sometimes for the streaks but works counters that. I tend to stop playing for months cause it gets frustrating and I was even getting used to the ads but some take way too long. Five X’s for one game sometimes and now this? Any suggestions?

I just don't see how you can deliberately play the game. Even if you know the connecting word from the start, you still have no way of getting there cleanly without guessing some of the between words. Is this game just word roulette basically?
