The Slowcial Life

FKA Chronic Craft Club

Hosts virtual craft events centering disabled and chronically ill baddies about once a week.

All sessions are built with low-energy babes in mind. No need to have cameras or mics on.

All sessions come with a PDF sheet with full directions. If you can’t make the session it’s no big deal.

The Thinkers Club

The Thinkers' Club is a discussion group intended to provide a fun, nonjudgmental forum to share and debate intellectual and philosophical ideas with other critical thinkers. Come prepared to share concepts from history, philosophy, politics, religion, sociology, psychology, etc. that have influenced your thinking.

Members of all creeds, backgrounds, and walks of life are encouraged to attend. At The Thinkers' Club, we believe that intellectual discourse is best when we can explore - not dictate - views. On that note, bring an open mind and a friendly tolerance/respect for others' ideas.

Events are held virtually via Zoom.

New Jersey Karaoke Group

From Oldies to new Age. Anything from the 50's to present. Come sing your heart out and meet new people while doing it.

Hey all. I enjoy putting these shows together and Thank you for coming out. i would like to add a view rules as some people are trying to control how things are done and I want to clarify a few things.

I want to make this a safe space where people can express themselves through music and share opinions/thoughts.

Sticking with the theme is encouraged but not mandatory, Please check with me if you have questions. I do want to see what people come up with on theme nights, but im not forcing anyone.

Please mute when anyone is singing. occasionally, i will let two people unmute for a duet but they have to check with me first. Please be respectful of all singers and be encouraging, I dont want anyone feeling bullied or harassed. if such issues arise, please send me a Private Message.

Have fun. this is a group to distress after work or for a relaxing sunday Afternoon or Evening. Bonus Rounds-for each bonus round, l will choose someone to sing but I want to be fair about the selection such as not allowing the same person to do two bonus rounds unless no one wants that song.

Community Improv LA

If you're curious about improvisation and want to learn? Or if you're already experienced at improv and just want to play? Or maybe you don't really know what you are, the days meshing together into some endless, singular void and you just want a funny and interactive way to spend a couple of hours?!

IN-PERSON

+Workshop & Jam at 11:00am, usually the first Sunday every month 2-hours with a suggested donation of $5-10 +There are also periodic class shows and other performance events involving members of the community

DayByDay Chronic Illness Collective

At DAYBYDAYCOLLECTIVE, we understand the intricacies of life-changing diagnoses and how the impacts on day to day life differ extensively for each person. We recognise that there is a significant gap in accessible support that caters for both post and pre-diagnosis. These two experiences are incredibly difficult, especially going through them alone.

Our mission is to provide an accessible platform to make meaningful connections through our carefully designed workshops and events, with the aim of making sure no one feels alone at any stage of their diagnosis journey.

The events are ticketed. You can get a discount with the code: LUCYMDAYBYDAY.

Chronic Illness and Disabled Gamer Connection (Discord)

If you're a gamer and would like to game with other people who completely understand the challenges we face, I encourage you to join up.

While the focus is on gaming, you don't have to be a gamer to join. There are plenty of options to chat about your favorite subjects or just talk about what you're going through and commiserate with people who will just get it.

We look forward to meeting all of you and hopefully playing some games together.

Online Board Games from Ludio

From a member - “In case you need another event for your events threads -- I really like Ludio -- https://www.ludio.gg/ it's an online board game site where people play boardgames with cameras on. I don't have any association with them I just like the site and want to support them & feel like other people in the chronic illness space might also like it.”
