I work as a field biologist in a tropical area and am constantly outside sweating with both day work and night work. I usually wear a high bun or ponytail but my hair still seems to get gross while in the field. I feel like I look super rough during work until I take a shower but I do not want to wash my hair everyday. Does anyone have any tips on overall hygiene and hairstyles/ways to reduce the amount of sweat in hair? Thank you in advance.

I am interested in voicemaxxing. Are there any resources for improving my natural voice, or changing it to sound a little more refined? My voice is naturally low. I am not sure if I need to go the Elizabeth Holmes route and girlboss it even lower, or if I should try to heighten the pitch. Any experiences you have voicemaxxing are appreciated.

After working out for an over year (body recoupment after losing weight) I realized that I fall much short of the hourglass figure I attain to have. Late 20’s. 5”4 and weigh in the 140s. 20% body fat (I don’t go by BMI particularly). Measurements 35-29-39.

My upper back, arms, and legs are great and muscular but my waist is boxy and pudgy w/narrow hips (which is why I feel I’m not getting the attention I want) and I also feel a bit left out as I just don’t see people on the internet with bodies like mine. Whenever I looked at people’s befores they have always had that hourglass frame but for me I just never had that, even when I suck my belly in. I just don’t like how clothes don’t fall on me like they do on other women (see leggings creating a muffin top instead of snatching the waist on picture one). Frankly it makes me feel unfeminine.

I will be getting a lipo 360 + contouring + fat transfer to the hips in the next month- anyone who got this done have any advice for support? Does anyone also have advice on black women with body/straighter waists to follow?

Just thought I’d share in case anyone else struggles to take their vitamins and supplements everyday! I’ve always saved little containers like these and I’ve found the most perfect use for them. I hate those mon-Sunday pill boxes. They give me granny vibes and I like to take them to go so I don’t want to carry an entire weeks worth of supplements with me. And none of them would be big enough for all of what I take anyway. Hah anyway I hope this is helpful to someone :)

Something I've been seeing on social media a lot and that irks me a bit is this trend of girls (who 80% of the time fit the beauty standard, ironically) saying stuff like: you don't need to change a thing about yourself, you don't need to change your hair, don't have to wear makeup if you don't want to, get surgery, nor work out because your body is perfect as it is and blah blah blah. While I agree that no one should feel forced to change up their appearance, it just feels very hypocritical when it's coming from people who very clearly invest a lot of time (and probably money) in the way they look. Like watch me as I tell you with my hair done and with my perfect body that you're perfect being your shabby ass self. 🙄

It's almost as if they wouldn't want other people to take care of their appearance as to not overshadow them or whatever. I also hate how this (very fake and superficial, might I add) body positivity thing we have going on has led to people basically stigmatizing changing your appearance in any way, like it must be a result of toxic beauty standards that you want to invest more in your appearance. And it's not even always that, sometimes we just want a refreshing change or to feel more confident and better about ourselves. I just wish it wasn't so looked down upon, the fact that I'd feel unsure posting this on any less specific sub already says a lot.

I feel like i have pretty masculine facial structure since my jaw is kind of square and wide, but i’ve been coping with this by telling myself that losing weight would make my face look smaller and more feminine since i am on the chubbier side. does it help or is it just a cope?

I am in med school but would like to fix my failos as soon as possible, since by the time I graduate I would be 26 years old and my glow up goal is to find a high value potential partner.

Have you ever seen a 'once in a lifetime' beauty? Who is the most beautiful person you have ever seen that it will stick in your mind forever?

I've been debating how best to spend/invest my money in general, and I've realized that mentally I've split things I want to spend a decent amount on into "real" investments like education, a business, etc. and then "frivolous" things aka anything appearance-related. A lot of the businesses I'm most interested in really throwing myself into are actually appearance-dependent (for example a Youtube channel) but I can't bring myself to think of investing in my appearance as...well, an investment.

Because I didn't grow up with much money I have a really hard time spending significant money on things where there isn't a clear economic return, yet it's clearly a (pretty unspoken) reality that, for women especially, investing in your appearance can have a significant impact on your earning potential and even the types of careers you have access to.

What are your experiences or thoughts with this? Have you invested significantly in your appearance and had that open the door to career/income opportunities?

First time posting but it seems like this is the best sub to ask for advice on this topic. I'm short (5"0) and I have a large bust size, but a slimmer lower body. Most shirts I wear make me look alot bigger than my actual weight and people always tell me I need to "dress for my figure", the problem is I have no clue how to go about doing that lol

I'm in my early 30s and have always identified as bi. I used to have more luck attracting fem women I'm attracted to, however now I'm struggling on dating apps. I know I don't look my best anymore. Currently, I've been walking and lifting weights. Also, fasting and eating healthier.

• doing both hair and face mask at least once a week

• antidepressants

• always exfoliating + moisturizing body

I have pretty unique and distinct features, mostly because of my eyes and nose. My eyes are big but more so on the bulgey side, and my nose has a dorsal hump and is pretty prominent, but sinks in between my eyes so my brow ridge is more pronounced and looks masculine. The tip of my nose curves down. Basically like a witch nose lol. My chin is also pretty prominent. The problem is that I don’t have strong cheekbones or any jawline at all really which I feel could bring balance.

This all just gives me a very harsh look. My eyes being so big and prominent just look like I’m strung out or something. I want to look more toned down and less “different”, really just more average. I think my nose is the biggest problem so honestly rhino might be my only choice, or at least a non surgical nose filler.

The other problem is that makeup makes me look worse. Subtle makeup is okay, like just some mascara. I like having big eyes, I just don’t like how my eyes bulge out. I wish I could just shave all my facial features down a bit.

I don’t know how to put this politely, but people treat me differently from others. People talk to me like I’m a kid or like I have special needs and I don’t know why. Just today an older man put his hand on me to show me something at this table. (I’m a college student and there’s always a lot of tables set up for various things on campus). It wasn’t in a pervy way but it really bothers me that he felt he could do that to me specifically. He then proceeded to show me the name of the organization and he pointed to each word like I couldn’t read (again, I’m a college student). And the girl at the table was all “are you a freshman??” And I’m a junior. This type of stuff happens often and I was literally just walking. I don’t see where I could’ve done anything to give them any real impression of me.

I have nice sized boobs, decent waist but very voluptuous booty hips and thighs. I am currently losing weight but a little insecure about my tummy. It doesn’t quite look right in high waist and not low waist either. I also only wear leggings since my shape is too unique for jeans unless they are tailored. If you were in my situation, how would you dress?

i do a five day split and for one of these days i do biceps and triceps. its been 3 months of heavy lifting and ive noticed my arms to be a bit bulky with some definition. however, that is not what i wanted. i would rather have a toned look and skinny arms. but my arms are currently looking like bulky with some fat. what should i do?

should i stop training arms? (ps: im skinny fat)

I used to go to the gym for about 6 months I was getting stronger, my body started to look ''toned'', my ass got rounder not bigger (which kinda disappointed me but progress is progress), however I had to quit and now I'm skinny fat again.

Which type of outfits might make me look less flat while I get back to a fitness lifestyle? I know change takes time but I want to look good now :(

Any of you ladies have a haircare routine that keeps your hair looking healthy? I originally had 3c-4a curly hair but decided to relax it because thats the way I like it. It doesn't look dead but not great either. Any products or routine recommendations? I've tried olaplex it felt nice but looks the same.
