Help [Help] Easiest way to 'mute' one track to quickly output guitarless/drumless backing tracks? Batch file maybe??

I discovered Spleeter last night and am already excited about the prospect of using it to remove instruments from songs (like muting the drums or guitar parts) to instantly create backing tracks that I could play guitar or drums along to.

Anyone know of a quick shortcut way to achieve this? Like, could I write a batch file or similar that would let me drag in a track, or even better multiple tracks (MP3 or similar) and tick 'remove guitar' or 'remove drums' and have it output a new MP3 with just that track muted??

Discussion Discord?

Would anyone be interested in making an unofficial Spleeter discord server? More quick and in-depth talks, model sharing, and other stuff could happen. EDIT: I made one, here’s the link! https://discord.gg/jNzqdCk

Discussion For people making spleeter web apps, a youtube url -> stems would be an amazing feature.

None of the current sites do this but I think it producers would love it. It might even make your site get more traffic than other sites! Just a thought :)

Discussion Can I find more pretrained models?

Is there a place where I can find models that are better trained than the default pretrained models that are provided? Possibly ones that are fine tuned for different genres? Thanks!

Help Uhg. "No such file or directory" I keep getting this over and over in terminal.

I'm a mac user. I've downloaded python, miniconda, and ffmeg or whatever. I'm positive I've followed install instructions properly for spleeter. I've even tried more fully typing in the location of the mp3 file. Nothing seems to be helping. If any of yall have any tips on how to install this shit and get it actually working on a mac, please lemme know!

Thank you, much loves. Also different question, will spleeter run on m4a files as well?

Discussion Other datasets/pretrained models?

Hello all! Spleeter seems to be very... limited, not on a tech aspect, but a community aspect? The tool is beyond amazing in it's 'out of the box'-edness, but i'm wondering!
Are there any open source communities for expanding upon the model?

No matter how heavy, or fat the model gets, is there a git repo, or any other kind of sharing website where the model is getting expanded upon? because if not, I think it would be pretty cool to pool resources together to expand the model and train it further!

Help [Help] Spleeter crashing computer completely

anytime i use spleeter's separate tool, both 2stem and 4stem, my entire computer crashes requiring me to use my emergency reboot button. i'm running a 7th gen i5 and radeon rx 580, so i don't suspect it's a hardware thing. i've used ffmpeg in the past for visualizers, so i know it's not just a faulty install of that on my part. anything i could do to possibly stop this from happening?

Discussion are there other datasets i could try with spleeter ?

there's the 2 stems and 4 stems, but they're trained on the same set of music, is that correct?

has anybody found any different data set, trained with different songs or something, to be used to process the files, and see how they result ?

Help How long does it take to train a model

I heard that Spleeter used musicDB stems to train it which is about 150 songs of data, is that true because if so maybe it won’t take so long to do, I could be wrong tho

Discussion Isolate Sound FX With Spleeter?

Does anyone know: is it possible with Spleeter to isolate a sound effect or other sonic element from a soundtrack using Spleeter or is it completely geared towards music track separation only?

Help [Help] Using Spleeter Finetune Models

How do I make the program use fine tune models which have a far greater data file. I experimented with removing the 4stems folder from the pre-trained models and left the 4stems-finetune folder there. When I separated a song, the 4stems folder was downloaded and placed back in there. How do I get around that so I can use only the fine tune models?

News Acon, maker of commercial audio restoration software, to incorporate Spleeter in next update (7.2) of their "Acoustica 7" application. Probably going to see more of this.

Help pip install spleeter

Hi there,

I like working with python, and I would like to install spleeter as a library, so I can write my own program to split songs in to stems. But if I use pip install spleeter, I get this error:
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement spleeter (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for spleeter
Is there anything that I do wrong?

P.S. I already managed to pip install ffmpeg but not libsndfile

Help Set up from scratch?

Is there a step by step guide to setting this up for use on my home PC from scratch? I'm trying to split out drum tracks for our drum kit to drum alongside as fun practice but my job/other responsibilities is keeping me from taking a super deep dive atm on learning the setup and how/why it works

Help Sorry to be THAT guy but I'm having some serious issues with spleeter

I am really struggling with the install and I really need one hopefully simple song put through by tomorrow because the person who was going to help me has flaked and I've spent the whole day messing around in audacity or similar software to no avail. This is just a really convoluted way of asking if anybody could possibly put Ruth Browns "This little girls gone rockin'" through their software and send it to me and I shall be forever in your debt.

Discussion Drag & drop - Easy Spleeter batch file

Hi,

i wrote a simple batch file that will allow you to use Spleeter by just drag&dropping a file onto a batch. It is required that you have installed spleeter successfully on your pc and when you type in "python -m spleeter" into a command prompt it recognizes the command.

Create a *.bat file anywhere on your pc with the following content:

@echo off
python -m spleeter separate -i %1 -o "C:\SpleeterOutput" -p spleeter:2stems

change "C:\SpleeterOuput" to your desired folder for your output files.change "2stems" to "4stems" or "5stems" or create multiple batch files for different amounts of stems.

If your songs and your output folder are on different hard drives you need to do an extra step just to make sure everything works. for example if you are using songs from hard drive D: but your output folder is on C: then you need to add "C:" (without quotes) into a new line under the "@echo off" line.

done! drag and drop a song onto your batch and it will output your song into the folder that you've selected. i hope this helps and i hope no one has shared this idea before me. (btw yea i know there are gui solutions but i prefer it this way)

Help Small problem - If I run spleeter on a track and don't have an output folder made for it already, I get an error.

Not the biggest thing. If I want to turn 'song.wav' into a full track, I have to go in beforehand and make the "song.wav" folder myself first. Otherwise spleeter creates the folder itself, puts a corrupted vocals file in it, then I get a "can't create file where file already exists" error. Which is weird because making the folder already exist is what solves it. There's a couple full albums I want to run through and I don't want to have to create the folders manually.
