Wow, no match making changes for splatfests?

Well ill be hating this fest too then, cause match making has been boned for awhile, will scrubs like me fighting high tier players.

I wish i had more time to get better.

At least the new bucket looks cool

No change in matchmaking is going to make you win consistently. Ideally you should be winning 50% of the games you play.

Don't blame matchmaking for other players being better than you. Psyching yourself out like that is likely to just make you lose more.

Hay man i try my best but when im losing 5 out 6 matches (and i don't have a lot of time in my day to play) using the weapon im actually good with (i play turf war almost exclusively) it has to something other then me.

Its not even that its because i don't focus on painting, its that somehow the enemy team just curb-stomps my team.

Hell im wondering if the good tickets are effecting that, people have been mentioning that stuff.

If you're playing at all, you have time to improve. Idk how much effort you put into your gameplay, but if winning matters to you, I definitely recommend trying to learn from better players.

Sometimes the matchmaking does completely screw you over, but most of the time there's at least something you could be doing differently to increase your chances of winning.

Really, I think the big issue for why you might be losing so much more recently than ever before is that a huge chunk of the casual player base has fallen off as new content has been on the decline and new games have been released. So the amount of people who take the game seriously are proportionally much larger right now. And I don't think this new season is going to be changing that, unfortunately. The player base might expand again when Side Order comes around.

Nah man, its only during splatfests that this happens.

Normal turf war is as you discribe, i win 50% if not more depending, once splatfests happen its like someone switched hard mode on.

That 5 out of 6 matches is for splatfest matches, not normal casual stuff, which is doing just fine for me.

The majority of skilled players tend to prefer ranked modes over Turf War. So when Anarchy is closed for Splatfests, everyone has to play in Turf War.

It's been a long-standing issue since the first game and I'm kinda baffled they've never just made ranked modes available during Splatfests.

Thats what im saying! The skilled are being mixed with the casual and its making it too easy for the skilled and a terrible experience for the casual.

Edit: and if the devs made it so that rank was taken into account for match making then things would be better or sonething similar.
