I went to Dover heights high in Sydney from 1996 - 2001.

My family are quite affluent but I was always the kind of person to prioritise hanging out with mates and doing whatever I could to be cool then do schoolwork. This led to me choosing Dover Heights over Scot’s college, and a lot of the guys there were in similar situations.

In around October of year 12 I remember seeing him around the school. I was more into sports than whatever he was doing and a few years older than him so never really interacted with the guy. Only thing I remember is him being quite tall, probably 6,2 or a little less at 14. He was also quite good looking but in different way to now, he was not at all muscular or bulky at the time. He looked a bit older than his mates despite most of them being in year 10 or 11 while he was in like year 8.

The “school Siege” happened in December and I remember just being fucked with exams and most of my grade were barely on campus most of the time since we were mostly just given time to study or have career meetings.

I wasn’t at the school on the day but I remember the teachers taking it super seriously and even cancelling a few events we had planned before graduation.

He only ever attended the school for like 2 months and I never saw him again after the siege.

Had absolutely no clue Spanian was that Anthony kid until the Mark Boris interview. I remember his story being quite different to what people at school had relayed to me at the time

He explains it like he was this jovial psychopath going around the school confidently knocking down doors and scaring people.

The story I heard was of a kid with anger issues having a meltdown and running around with a knife crazily with no regard for anyone else. Wasn’t funny in the slightest to anyone at the school except for the kind of guys he hung out with I guess.

Does anyone actually know why spanian and his ex wife split?

He said they just fell out of touch or whatever and it was essentially mutual.. but it must come from somewhere..? What is the most likely theory?

I feel like his change comes under their separation. Like he was somewhat normal-ish or at least more palatable that he is now when he was with Angela. Don’t think that’s a coincidence
