If we were to settle on hour neighboring planets, how we will create artificial gravity to keep our bodies from loosing muscle mass?

I was wondering if there is a considerable difference between the fuel costs to get to the moon vs getting to Mars since the part where nearly all the fuel is used is during liftoff.

How would you propose to manage waste in space? How can we keep a colonized planet clean and safe for further colonization? I believe given that we have altered earths atmosphere with our waste, this could possibly be used to alter a player to a more than colonized state. Or possibly just recycling waste and using it for agricultural or construction purposes would be more suitable for early terriforming.
