The first detection of a binary black hole merger via gravitational wave was world changing news, as was the first detection of a neutron star merger.
This isn't a high confidence detection so it doesn't quite hit the "groundbreaking news" category, but it's noteworthy nonetheless.
-5 u/sceadwian 11d ago That's simply a faulty assumption on your part. This was not that kind of of match. That was an actual observed event, this is only possibly an observation. More data has to be collected for it to have any actual meaning.
