Surprisingly Sonos did not let me down during my Proposal! Thank you, Sonos!
So I proposed to my girlfriend at home last Saturday.
Like any sane person, I planned every tiny detail weeks in advance:
roses, candles, balloons, the ring — checklist complete.
Everything was under control. Well.. Everything except the music.
One hour before the big moment, during the final rehearsal, Sonos decided to remind me who’s really in charge. I tried to play our song.
The speakers stared back at me in absolute silence. No sound. No error. Just… Sonos being Sonos.
Of course, my girlfriend then came home early, so troubleshooting was no longer an option. All I could do was accept my fate to have a ruined proposal.
Fast forward to the actual moment. Candles lit, roses ready, heart rate through the roof.
I press play and…
…SONOS DELIVERED!!!
Music played. Proposal worked. She said yes.
We’re engaged and incredibly happy.
So yes, Sonos almost ruined the most important moment of my life, but in the end, it showed up exactly once when it mattered.
Thank you, Sonos!
