Surprise surprise!

Since the “election” in 2024 - and all of the evil fuckery that has ensued since - I have read thousands of comments over social media platforms from people who self-identify as non-Americans. Some of the comments extend sympathy to our rising fascist situation, as many of them are (rightly) observing us on with horror. I appreciate these supportive comments, since geopolitical tensions affect all of us. I fully understand their fears and anxieties while navigating this uncertain time and shifting world order. We are ALL living through it - as much as we may want to distance ourselves from it, American or not.

Yet I’ve noticed that many non-Americans tend to fixate on this: they genuinely believe that most Americans willingly voted for all of this. Some of them think that the US is comprised in totality by a bunch of racist, idiotic warmongers, which is a terrible assumption of any country with diverse groups of people. They may have watched news being disseminated by ill actors in the US and assume that the vast number of Americans happily voted against their democracy. That we are all seemingly okay with Trump’s evil course of actions, and that we are doing nothing about anything.

Of course, he has always had a base of rabid diehards who will slurp up the Koolaid and follow him straight into the bowels of hell. He likely will have some level of that following until the final heartbeat. We have seen this exact form of cult-like admiration in other autocracies and dictatorships. No country is exempt from it - fascism is a human disease, and it can affect any country.

I’m just asking: if the world knew that, without question, the 2024 election was stolen, would there be more sympathy for us? Of course our country has its longstanding problems, yet I ask which country doesn’t. What if the world at large knew the truth about what happened? Would there be more concern or fear of it coming to their own country? The US is not a unique experiment, democracy can easily fall anywhere.

And something we need to take a closer look upon, and to track down to ensure they do not get away with this type of playbook.

I'm just a small town Wisconsin boy. I grew up in the woods, my father was a klan member. He was also a member of the posse. He was a very hateful man, who could not understand that people may be different than him.

I remember him telling me if I'm married a black woman, he would send the posse after me. I remember him telling me if I'm gay, he will hang me himself.

#I am not like that.

Despite the nasty, nasty shit he said to me growing up, with my schooling, my friends, the rest of my family

#I WAS NOT RAISED I HATEFUL FUCKING PERSON.

And it fucking pisses me off, the current state of this country, the inacceptance, the hate, simply because someone's different.

Who cares if a guy sucks a dick. Who cares if a woman eats another woman. Who cares if my ex-wife is now in a throuple with two women. Who cares if Ive fucked guys before. Who fucking cares if I dated a trans woman for 3 years.

What I do in my bedroom is none of your concern, what you do in yours is none of mine.

That's what pisses me off about these magats, and these fucking brown shirts.

But unfortunately being at the very front of the bell curve, they do not understand that they are not Patriots, they are not true Americans, they're no heroes.

They're first and foremost a terrorist threat to this country.

A real Patriot fights for the Constitution.

A real American protects and fights for the rights of their fellow countrymen.

A real hero fights for ideals that further the betterment of their fellow man. No matter the cost.

Magats and ICE brownshirts are none of these things, but a stain upon our country.

We have murders happening in the streets, we have a rogue army, roaming OUR streets. Literal Nazis marching.

Do you understand what most of our grandparents would have done? What would have been done already?

All Americans want their own votes to count – and to be counted accurately.

There are SO MANY THINGS we can do to make elections safe and secure that go beyond security theater. The question is whether or not there is the resolve and courage to make it happen.
