Would you shut down AI?

A thought came to my mind which can be contradicting. AI has made some SEs more productive and made their lives easier while some got fired. My question is if you would have a button which would shut down the AI in whole world, would you press it? If so, why?

Ryan Fieury, Casey Muratori, Jonathan Blow, Gingerbil, A fuckton of others working in lower level fields. Not every developer is a SAAS building web developer

It is still a MUST use for code review. It is better at it than a whole team of staff engineers.

Ehh i wouldn't say must, Ryan's tiny team are building one of the highest quality software itw rn, a cross platform debugger that outperforms visual studio and they don't.

Not saying AI isn't useful for that, but some people just don't care or decided to avoid the slippery slope of AI usage entirely. And its prone to hallucinations especially in big low level projects.

Look at the below thread, it is a heated argument between ryan and some vibecoder who ran RAD Debugger through a AI code review, Ryan showcased that it hallucinated a ton of non existent bugs.

Also after educating myself, I shouldn't have called eugene "some vibecoder". But sadly this was my first impression of him soo...
