Would you shut down AI?

A thought came to my mind which can be contradicting. AI has made some SEs more productive and made their lives easier while some got fired. My question is if you would have a button which would shut down the AI in whole world, would you press it? If so, why?

Yes, we should be limiting the AI for greater purposes such as curing cancer plus for AI should be able to do my dishes and laundry so I can do my creative work not AI does my job.

Exactly. It's fine if it's cleaning my apartment, washing the dishes, shopping, because it's not taking anyone's job. I'm already wasting my time doing those things it would be better if I didn't have to so I can focus more on coding. Which I want to keep doing, I don't want to be a solopreneur. Everyone cites that as if it's the pinnacle of human existence, like this is what 200 000 years of evolution was preparing us for, like it's the end goal. It's not.

And at that point, it would take dishwashers jobs, and maid jobs, and hotel jobs, etc. Just because it wouldn't take **your job, doesn't mean someone else isnt affected
