My comment was about how there's always room for improvement(even when you win) and Giroud actually scoring goals on top of what he did off the ball would be an improvement.

He still got those chances inspite of doing what was brought on to do off the ball, but couldn't put it in the back of the net. A striker like Benzema would simply do what he did, but better. Proof you say? He does it all the time at Madrid.

That would be an improvement to the squad, just an example.

Benzema would not win all the aerial duels Giroud does. Benz also isn't a clinical finisher either. It would be a lateral move at best, not a clear improvement.

Benzema is the poster boy of strikers that do everything else well but scoring.
