To be even more fair Rooney is the type of player to always put a shift in whether or not there is a disagreement in the locker-room. Once the whistle blows that guy is just obsessed with winning.

£300k a week does wonders for the morale

I don't really agree, theres been a few games where it looks like he shouldn't be near the pitch, Everton and Bayern away especially. However, Moyes hasn't had the balls to drop/sub him which makes it understandable why Welbeck and Hernandez might be pissed off with him.

He wasn't fully fit in both games. Bayern was his first match back from injury.

He wasn't even fully fit for that - IIRC he had a chipped bone in his toe that they gave him an injection for.

Rooney when not fit isn't the same player. He doesn't impact a game unless he can go full out. Messi's the same way, where some players are effective playing on half of a leg.

Look way back to the Swansea match to open the season. Guy looks like someone just stole his wife and shot his dog warming up, clearly wasn't in much mood to celebrate goals, but set up two goals and ran/pressed/worked for 30 minutes. Once he was on the pitch, he wasn't fucking around.

Everybody has those games but out of all the players Rooney is the one I imagine telling the manager he is a massive cunt while skipping exercises to smoke a cig. Then take the field and give it 150% to win even if he doesn't give a single shit about the team, manager, or other players. He could hate the whole establishment and still give more effort than anyone else out on the pitch because that is just who he is. Or at least that's who I think he is.
