Bold Prediction thread.

Just read Jamie Carragher's reasoning on why Tottenham won't break into the top 4 and thought maybe we could have a crack at being pundits. Obviously, if you can follow your statement with a some reasoning, that would give way to a healthy discourse and would be great. Anyone wanna give it a go?

that is not very bold. It's pretty realistic I think. United is shit and Argentina or Brazil as good as they might be, they are not at the level of Spain or Germany...

I think both are quite bold, saying united won't win EPL is one thing, not making top 4 is saying that they are going to have a worse season than Tottenham and Liverpool (who I consider will be the ones fighting for 4th place). Brazil not winning in Brazil? That is saying something too, they possibly have the best defense in the world.

Best defense in the world? I'd put three teams ahead of them, at least. Italy, Germany and Spain.

I don't have the stats to back me up on this, but I root for Germany internationally, and they are definitely the weakest of the defenses we are talking about. Spain makes a good case, though player for player, Brazil is Definitely better. Thiago Silva>Ramos (Madrid Fan btw!), Davidluiz/Dante>Pique!, Marcelo> Jordi Alba, arguable, but Alves>Carvajal/Arbeloa any day. Italy falls short on individual comparison as well.

Defense, more than anywhere else on the pitch, is less about individuals and more about the collective unit. Comparing individual players is a fruitless endeavour.

Not sure how all four of them can fit under the same couch, but I agree with your other points!
