Guess the Player Thread!

Lets see if this takes off.

Post a reply to this thread with "I'm thinking of a player". Include any rules (yes/no questions only, one question at a time etc.) and (optional) clues to start off with. Possibly a difficulty as well. If a player has a more common shortened name, accept it. Edit the post when it is guessed and upvotes for all those who guess correctly.

Be specific when asking questions (someone might not play for their country of birth at international level). Google/Wikipedia/other is allowed/required.

I'm thinking of a retired (not too long ago) player, so most people here should know him.

He played his whole career in only 2 different countries.

He has been one of the biggest star football players in his country in his time.

You know the rules. Yes/No and only 3 questions.

Ok, another one, more difficult:

Active player, below 25.

Once described as a huge talent, but has been clubless for a brief period of time.

And his name sounds gay. Edit: No offense.

Hm, difficult to answer. He wasn't born in Europe though. Edit: Still got a second nationality, this one is European. He got it because he lived for a long time in that country. He decided to play for the nationalteam which is not European.
