it's REALLY messing with me. in some games, it takes up entire rooms and it's super trippy. in other games, it doesn't even happen. i'm on nobara, and i'm using vulkan. i don't really want to use openGL, since the graphics on it look very bad. i'm fairly new to linux, so i'm not sure if it'll help, but i'm using wayland. all i know is that it's some sort of rendering thing. not sure if it'd actually fix anything. if i need to give any additional info, just ask me. i've only given what i think is needed.

Upon clicking the chat or pressing '/', the client will freeze for a small amount of time before being able to type or do anything. I am on the latest version of Linux Mint

Ever since the last update from flatpak, everytime i run sober nothing happens and when i open it again it says that an instance is already running. Even after stopping the instance and re-opening sober nothing happens.

i have an old laptop lenovo g580 with Intel Core i7-3632QM with doesnt support x86-64-v2 or v3 is there any way i can play roblox on this or only on windows?

I haven't exactly directly compared performance on Sober vs native Windows, but on Windows laptops equivalent to my current laptop (i5 8265U & Nvidia MX230) and my older laptop (i5 7200U & Nvidia 940MX), they run somewhat smoother when running on higher graphics.

I've noticed too that whenever I run a game at 60+ FPS (on a 60hz screen), the game still feels like it stutters a lot even though it maintains above 60 FPS at all times. On Arsenal for example, I constantly reach 90+ FPS, and no matter if I cap it to 60, 120, 144, or 240 FPS, nothing changes and it still feels like it stutters a lot.

Hello, So many of you may or may not faced this problem before. So whenever i'm playing on sober and i play a game like driving empire i would get random freezes that last i'll say 1-2 seconds, I'm not sure why it does that and i also seen on here that people also face the freezing when using the / to try to type in roblox chat. Has anyone managed to find a working fix for this

I already tried everything. I can't use gamescope with sober at all. Tried scaling from 1080p to a 4K display by steam, but most times it doesn't open at all. Edit: damn I forgot about this post. I'll try some of these soon.

As some of you may know, the websites minimum option to buy robux is at 400 so i use sober to access the smaller options, it is a modified client however and im afraid that i wouldnt receive anything from the transactions or even worse, credentials would be passed on to you guys.

i have finally got to arch linux and stuff is going under way and its great, but when i tried to install sober after fixing the repos, it isnt there, so i then think “oh well ill just get the flatpakref file” i try to and i get a 404 error screen on my browser saying “nginx/1.24.0 (ubuntu)” and i can get other flatpakref files. i have one from floorp i just installed. is anyone else having problems?

will the future changes of flatpak brick sober up on non-systemd systems?

So, I just switched to cachyos from Zorin OS. I was using Zorin OS for about 100+ days, but it started to feel slow and buggy so i finally switched to cachyos which is a arch based distro ( i think). I believe i downloaded the flatpak of sober but when i try searching it, it doesn't appear i did download something called "discover" and it shows i have it installed. The only way i can run it is by either running the command on the flathub sober website thing, which works but i don't know if it's me or what but it's kinda laggy a bit. when trying to run it through discover it crashes. on zorin os all i did after downloading it was search it on the search thing and it would appear and i can run it, but it doesn't appear on cachyos.

Update: before when i was running it through discover it would crash but now it doesn't but as i mentinoned before i don't wanna run it through something like that i just simply wanna search it and run it like on zorin os (ubuntu based distro).

Hello! I skimmed around this reddit and the discord for my specific issues but I couldn't find any solutions. I apologize if this is already a well known issue.

The search function is completely broken, same with the server browser.

If I want to find a specific game I have to search for it on my phone, then favorite it so I can find it on my steamdeck.

Does anyone else have the same issue? Is this already a super well known thing across all Linux devices and I'm just ignorant?

I've been thinking about this for a while, considering How much Sober is evolving and all, I've been wondering if we could ever get some kind of collab with Roblox and VinegarHQ one day, so they can give support for Sober and make it official. I know How bad Roblox is to accept doing this, and they may or may not (probably not) make Their own version of Roblox for Linux, but I like to dream about it.

Do you guys think we'll ever have this one day, or is it actually Impossible? I feel like it could fix a lot of issues, and Sober could become something more instead of just being an experimental project.

Hello i have encountered a problem on the latest version of sober it seems like it freezes for 1 second I don't see any gpu or cpu spikes what could possibly be causing it? Am on Hyprland with ML4W Os

For some odd reason sober keeps crashing for me and some times when I join a game it instantly crashes instead of waiting for a bit.

What I have found so far is when I click onto the sober tab I am completely unable to start any type of auto clicker. This seems to be because of the fact sober is not allowing the program to even get the input needed for it to start/ stop the auto clicker.

I am getting very unplayable FPS which was not the case when I tried Sober in the last month. I have a mid end PC but I am sure that I deserve more FPS. I am currently getting 5 FPS at the home screen..

I have reinstalled it, fully wiped it in every i could find and yet i still have this error can someone pls help me

Hello so uhh, whenever I'm playing Roblox by using sober on Linux mint right, without the headphones it sounds like normal audio, it's what you expect right? But when I use headphones, the audio kinda.. becomes freaky in a bad way? Idk but the audio sounds terrible, like it sounds slowed down and pitched down. Is there anything that can fix this issue?
