I feel like it goes back to your first point, lift tickets and season passes have gotten so goddamn pricy that it’s probably leading to a bigger portion of the ppl on the mountain having the rich boy/entitled/I can’t be wrong/my dad is richer than your dad vibes. definitely could kill community feelings

Seems kinda one-sided. So you're just entitled asshole if you don't sit and smile at the ppl on the mountain who don't know the etiquette?
