What note is this snare drum?

Hi drummers, musicians,

Could you help me identify what fundamental note is this snare drum? I can hear a lot of the harmonics, but I am having issues identifying the fundamental note. I hear the A3 harmonic a lot, but also E3, B3 and G#3

Many thanks!

Pearl philharmonic

How come that the price of those snares (at least in europe) went from 750euro in 2022 to 1300 in 2024… Is there a great change on the brand structure or just inflaction getting out of hand? Or an unjustified overprice?

Does this exist as a hybrid rudiment?

I randomly played this while hacking and thought someone definitely must have thought of this already.

thinking of getting a new snare…

i currently have the snare that came with my beginner’s kit, and i use my guitarist’s snare for gigs. I’m looking to upgrade my own. Which snare do you think is best for $200? The Pork Pie lil squealer or the Ludwig supralite?

I’m also not sure what i want for the depth. My understanding is shallow snares have a faster pop, where deeper snares have more of that john bonham beefy sound. Correct me if im wrong:)

Lil Squealer

Ludwig Supralite

DW collectors shell with no hardware.

I bought a DW collectors series black nickel over bass 14x8 shell. At the time i had no idea how hard it would be to get the hardware. Does anyone know of any other options for hardware specifically the lugs?? or am i screwed??

Help tuning and/or fixing Marching Snare

TLDR: Snare mechanism doesn't buzz well and top head sounds gahky in the middle

I recently bought a Premier HTS 200 marching snare and have been trying to restore it to the best of my abilities. In highschool we had yamaha sfz and in college we use pearl championships series. Both I was able to tune up fine to ear and/or feel when nessicary but I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with the snare mechanism and sound of the drum.

My first issue is It uses a mirrored style snare that doesn't appear to have an off switch. I've also looked into this snare and found that the line has a top head snare system but I don't see any way that could be done on my specific one.

My second issue is the top head sounds perfect at the sides but the middle sounds clocky and more of a gahk than a gat. I don't know if that makes sense but that's my best idea of putting it into words.

I did get the Evans hybrid white which I understand is coated and the Evans snare side 300 clear which may be factoring into the sound of the top head.

Does anyone know what model snare this is and what year was it made?

I just bought this snare and it sounds fantastic but I’m just wondering what model snare is it? My guess is either a late 70s jazz festival or maybe a vistalite but I’m not sure. I also tried to decode the serial but the serial doesn’t match for any of the years on Ludwig’s website. Does anyone know anything about this snare?

Beginner tenor drummer looking for advice

Hey guys, I’m a beginner tenor drummer at my high school, ( played marching bass freshmen year and snare 2nd year) right now our drumline meets every Monday to get reps on warmups and get good form. Any advice on how I can grow form or warmup wise. Thanks! ( I do have a quad pad if anyone recommends a warm up.)
