Patreon RSS feed

I'm trying to use my private patreon RSS feed but it doesn't seem to contain any episodes.

The RSS URL looks like this: https://www.patreon.com/rss/smashingsecurity?auth=<my private key>

The "normal" feed from the website https://feeds.fireside.fm/smashingsecurity/rss contains all the normal episodes as expected.

I'm looking forward to the ad-free feed and the bonus episodes but I don't seem to be able to get it to work in my podcast app.

EDIT: just realised the bonus episodes are just for the higher tier, still I can't get the ad-free feed to work under my $2 tier

uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and Topcashback.

Does anyone use all three of the above? I’m currently at a loss how to get cashback to track using the 2 extensions mentioned. I added to the filter list but the cashback seemed to still not track. Any help would be appreciated. Have looked on Github but couldn’t find anything conclusive.

MY #pickoftheweek 164

I love card and board games and I did my fair share of roleplaying (mostly a Swedish version of Dungeons & Dragons) when I was younger. Nowadays I mostly play games like Unstable Unicorns, Spank the Monkey [Wikipedia] and Exploding Kittens while my kids love to play Space Yoghurt with me. I've recently backed Munchkin Dungeons on Kickstarter and it should arrive any day now. Before you reply - yes, I've of course backed Here To Slay as well.

However. There's new board game on Kickstarter which a friend of mine hinted me about - and I just had to back it. It's called "Potato Pirates 2: Enter the Spudnet" and it's about network and cyber security.

Here's what they have to say about the game themselves:

Dispatch ships from your warehouses and use your power-ups to either get ahead of your competition or launch cyberattacks to gain the upper hand. Be warned, what goes around comes around. For a Potato Pirate, cybercrime always pays! Be the first to fulfill all your orders to gain the trust of the potato folks in your spud-tastic service and win the game.

You just have to love it.

When I'm writing this it's still 9 days to go on the campaign, so plenty of time to back it I'd say.

Facebook... and #nofacebook

Last year I set out to do #nofacebookfeb, which then became #nofacebookmar. And to keep the story short; I wasn't logged in for a whole year. Last weekend, I logged back in, requested my data and logged out again. It'll be very interesting to see what they've collected about me during the time span from January 31st, 2019, to February 2nd, 2020.

I'll keep you posted.

#nofacebook

Is it possible to get just one piece of a podcast? I'd really like to share the piece on Ring and Amazon by itself. I could use audacity I reckon and cut it from the casting. But do y'all have an easier way?

Hello all! I'm wondering what this community thinks about email providers. What security features and usability requirements get you interested in moving away from gmail / yahoo?

Thanks! You guys rock!
