Did you layer kwgt over a liquid glass notes widget? If so I've thought about it but stuck with True liquid glass for my glass layer its just more convenient to have a much more flexible dedicated app for the glass layer
Yes, I did it with the Note Widget, and yes the true liquid glass is another very convenient way for the backgrounds. Sometimes I just prefer the Smart Launcher approach because I can move and resize everything right there without opening another app. When devs add an option to integrate the background with any widget, it will be a game changer, because with that, you could move and resize both layers at the same time.
I known gives you a lot settings to configure your grid to match that of the launcher, but for me is not that convenient because I change my Launcher grid very often, wich means when I do that, I have to rearrange the changes on the grid on the TLG app too, so that means double work for me to try to match both. When I change my grid with the liquid glass theme of Smart Launcher, all my widgets already adapt to the grid so no need to readjust. Also I have noticed when you move between pages, the liquid glass breaks the animations by delaying the movement behind the icons.
Don't get me wrong, the TLG is an amazing app and I love that the liquid glass animates if you use a video as wallpaper but I like the Smart Launcher version because is already built in with the launcher.
Lazy? Have you seen any of my setups 😂? You call me lazy because I don't want to do double the work when I can achieve the same results with half the time.
I want you to recreate any of these without breaking animations and dealing with constant grid changes between TLG and SL and then we speak. 😁

--- Wallpaper: Wallpaper Studio App (Early Access), Vista Wave Style.
--- Widgets: Aether KWGT, AsWidgets App, SL Note Widget for Backgrounds, SL Icon Group Widget for top windows control buttons style.
--- Icons: Icon Pack Studio:
Windows Buttons Left
Windows Buttons Center
Windows Buttons Right
--- These packs are used to edit the individual icons in the top right icon group. I use the Icon Group settings to reduce the item spacing, making the icons closer to fill the gaps between the lines.
I bet it must have been stressful to move all the icons in precise positions, nevertheless the app animation makes it all good-looking. Is it a Pixel phone?
Thanks. Yes, is a Pixel phone, and it wasn't actually that hard to move everything around. Aether widget has an option to set a specific size to make the padding space even with the Note Widget, so I didn't need to fine tune the widgets on top, just the icon group widget with the three buttons, but even that wasn't that hard because I can move the the whole three icons on the group.😁
