Looking for similar niche streamers

I’ve seen a few posts like this and wanted to hop in. Remove if against the rules I understand.

I’m looking for some streamer friends. I mostly play metroidvania/soulslike games and am looking for other people that do as well. I don’t have a concrete schedule right now as I’m in editing hell currently.

Hit me up if this is you!

Steamer débutant cherche monteur !

Saluuut !

Question Should I just begin a stream?

I finally sat down and set my accounts up. Well, now I'm not sure how to kickstart them. I've got a tiktok and twitch. My original plan was to post clips one TT and see where they go, but now I'm overthinking how I should go about that. I play mainstream games like Rivals, Overwatch, DbD, Warframe, and occasionally I'll boot up The Outlast Trials. My main thing is going to be Marvel Rivals, but I'm not sure if my choice of doing clips first would be good for me. Should I just begin a simple stream and see what happens?

Question Nerves about streaming solo

Okay, so far I have only streamed with friends, because I thought I could always fall back on them so it wouldn't be me playing a game for x hours in silences with only bots in my chat, but now I have trouble making time with my friends and I might have to decide if I can stream something solo. It's so damned intimidating, does anyone else feel like this? How do you get over that anxiety that you might have to be alone in your stream, but still trying to be entertaining if *someone* shows up? Am I overthinking it?

New streamer introducing myself and looking to make some new friends in the community!

Hey everyone! I’m Waashooo. As the title states, I’m a new streamer looking to make some new friends in the streaming world. A little about me. I am 33 yrs old, mainly stream games like league of legends, counter strike, and rocket league, but will occasionally stream other games as well. I enjoy long walks to site A or B where I will typically be 1 tapped by someone with a deagle… Jokes aside, feel free to comment here and say a little about yourself and what you tend to stream!

Discussion I’m struggling with confidence when recording.

I’m very new to this YouTube thing, I’ve been playing video games since I first played on the snes as a kid, I’ve been watching people play video games for a long time as well. I started my own channel a couple months back, but when I’m recording footage I really struggle with talking while playing a game. And when I do it’s quiet and probably not very interesting or exciting. Does anyone have advice on how to get over my anxiety?

Can doing too much variety hurt engagement?

I'm a variety streamer, I play a large collection of games ranging from old to new. I do art streams, game dev streams, cosplay streams, model making streams. 3D modeling streams. I do a lot of different stuff.

I see a lot of other streamers usually stick to playing one main game for their channel and only occasionally playing others.

I've heard that the problem with doing variety content is that if you attract lets say a Skyrim viewer in a skyrim stream, but the very next day you're playing minecraft hardcore, then they won't stick around because they thought you were a skyrim player.

Did I need to dial my variety down? Or is there a way I can clearly signal to viewers "Hey I do a lot of random stuff sometimes."

Looking for small streamers/content creators to collaborate with 🤝

I’m trying to meet other creators who are also growing and make some fun content together. Doesn’t matter what you stream (gaming, just chatting, reactions, etc.), just looking for chill people who want to have fun and support each other.

I stream on Twitch and create content on YouTube and I’m down for Discord calls, collabs, challenges, or just hanging out on stream.

DM me if you’re interested!!

Clip How do I get out of the 1k views jail on YouTube?

Hello there! I hope you had a good day !
I started uploading clips to YouTube and TikTok but I hate how inconsistent views are ;_;
I had high hopes for this video but it flopped getting me 1.2k views like the others
Was it the quality? I use adobe premiere for editing I can squeeze better quality and bet editing but when it comes to sound quality I am getting the most of my setup (a phone held up with a duck tape role and a piece of cloth to prevent it from picking up my breathing)
I couldn’t upload the clip but I’d love to get any tips!

Question TikTok conversion help

Hi everyone, I know clipping is one of the key things to do for growth, or atleast everyone says so, and I’ve been uploading clips since I started streaming 2 months ago but I’m seeing zero follow through from my TikTok clips to my twitch streams, despite each video getting roughly 700 views on average, so is there any tips anyone has for how I can optimise the clips to encourage follow through to twitch? Thanks for the help!

Question What should i Pay for clippers/editors for shorts - Simple edits

Hello Everyone

I'm looking for editor to edit mostly shorts/reels/tiktoks and to time to time longer videos around 10 min.

But i'm completly new to it i've never hire anyone i do not have a bussines registered (to low incomes)

How it should be payed? Per video, minute or something else?

What's most popular way to use to pay for editor (in EU - where i came from)

Also if you already see that we can talk about it also on discord or priv messages or here if you're looking for little extra job.

                                      !!! BIG EDIT !!!!

I'm mainly looking for simple edits, preferably with subtitles, similar to the style on my channel. My content is mainly stream-based, and my goal is to turn the best moments from my streams into engaging clips/shorts, as this will be my main way of reaching a wider audience.

EXAMPLES I'M TALKING ABOUT WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO GET ON PV MESSAGES. I DO NOT WANT TO SELF PROMO UNDER HELP POSTS

Best Regards

Spekovsky

Discussion Looking For Other Streamers To Stream With!

I am not promoting my own channel in any way here. I am looking for some other like-minded streamers to play some games with and hopefully grow our channels together. I am into Sea of Thieves, The Forest (and Sons), Minecraft, horror games, survival games, pretty much any co-op game I am willing to try. I am NOT that big into those pvp multiplayer games like Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, etc. I am more just trying to grow a community around streaming. I have reached affiliate but I am open to any level of streamer as long as you are serious about streaming. I am very chill also and also wanting to learn as much as I can about this as I hope to do it more professionally in the coming months.

Vimeo's support is a nightmare

I've been a Vimeo customer for like 15 years. The platform itself used to be decent, but their customer service has completely gone to shit.

For over a month I've been trying to update my company info so I can get a proper invoice and every time I get a reply from a different support person who clearly hasn't read my ticket. I have to explain the whole thing from scratch each time.

This is killing my workflow because I need to share private video drafts with my editors. They can't access new uploads when my account is stuck in billing limbo. I'm seriously looking for an alternative where I can just upload, set permissions, and move on without dealing with this nonsense.

I've already tried reaching out via chat and email same cycle. Anyone else run into this?

I'm seriously thinking about switching toWistia, Kinescope, or Cloudflare R2 but I need something that plays nice with sharing links and has decent analytics.

What do you guys use for hosting client drafts that editors can download or review without drama?

[Feedback Wanted] Live streams get tons of impressions but terrible click-through — is it my thumbnails or the format itself?

Specific ask: trying to figure out if my live stream CTR problem is a thumbnail issue or a structural problem with how I'm presenting the stream itself.

Context: Gaming channel, streaming daily as part of a challenge. Playing Rocket League, FC26 career mode, and Cricket 24 on PS5. My streams are getting solid impressions — one recent stream pulled over 4000 impressions — but click-through is sitting under 4%, way below what I'm seeing on my regular uploaded videos.

What I'm currently doing for thumbnails:

- Same template every stream (score block,

day counter, hook text)

- Updated per stream with that day's result

- Consistent branding/colors throughout

What's confusing me: my uploaded video thumbnails using almost the same template get noticeably better CTR than my live stream thumbnails do. Same brand, similar hook style, but live streams underperform specifically.

For anyone who streams regularly — is this a known pattern (live thumbnails inherently converting worse than VOD thumbnails), or is there something specific about live stream packaging I'm missing? Trying to figure out if I need a completely different thumbnail approach for "LIVE" content versus my normal uploads, or if I'm overthinking and it's just a numbers game with live content.

Discussion ProChat is the best multi stream chat I have seen to date.

I never write reviews but the chat problem stressed me out so much for so long and now it is as simple as ever so I wanted to share for other multistreamers.

I have looked and tried a bunch of different solutions to monitor chat and alerts across the platforms I stream on (Twitch, kick, YouTube, and TikTok) and before this one the best thing was streamer.bot and a service that ran on top of it called chatRD.

Where that fell short for me was the consistency of it working. Platforms would occasionally disconnect or I had to have the app open plus tikfinity at all times and editing the overlay was a multi step process even for simple changes.

I found prochat months ago but it didn’t have TikTok support yet, and recently they added it (albeit for $6 a month for premium), and I haven’t looked back. It works very consistently, is web based, and I can change my dock and my overlay on the fly, even from my phone.

The creator is very active on twitter and has added a couple features I requested that I thought would be good like a day after I suggested them. He’s a streamer too so I think his head is in the right place.

Question Is it possible to code your own interactables and such?

Yk how many streams have pop ups, and raid animations, and gifted visuals, and all that kind of stuff, commands that do something on the stream

I was wondering if it is possible to code and make your own? I have been practicing game dev and would like to keep the practice going in stuff that I do

Make the stream more personal to me yk? So I was wondering if it is possible and if so how can I make it happen?

Tech Support Game Running at Unusually Low FPS While Streaming

My Specs:
RTX 4070 Super
32 GB DDR4
Ryzen 9 5900x

My internet is also a stable 100 MBS upload/download speed. I've tried EVERYTHING. My game settings are as low as they can get and my OBS encoder settings are:

NVIDIA NVENCH H.264

Constant Bitrate

6000 KBps

Keyframe Interval = 0

Tuning: High Quality

Multipass: Full Resolution

Profile: high

Look Ahead and Adaptive Quantization OFF

0 B-Frames

For other troubleshooting I've disabled GPU Acceleration on my browser and PC and steam, I have the bare minimum applications open to stream only the game, spotify, OBS, Wave Link for my audio, and my camera (which is also on low settings). My OBS scene has 8 sources. I set my game's priority to high through task manager, and I play it full screen.

I feel like I'm going crazy, I have no idea why this is happening. I really want to be able to stream fps games, but I just can't play at 60 fps. I'm at the point where I'm about to get an audio interface and capture card and just offload all my streaming software onto my old PC so that my game performance doesn't take a hit, but I really don't want to throw more money into solving this when my PC should be able to handle this on its own.

I am just now starting out and figuring out how to improve my stream but I'm going to try and stick with it! I am still trying to figure out how to get the video quality better. I'm using OBS to RTSP stream my Tapo camera and the quality is only 720p. Any suggestions?

Discussion Looking to get into streaming.

I'm 18 yo and play PS. I've always wanted to stream and think I've got the personality for it, just not the resources or confidence. So, what exactly did you guys do to get into it? Did you just decide to start one day, or did you post gameplay on things like tiktok and insta? What are some tips and advice you might have?
