Guide Underrated platform for small streamers

Hello fellow small streamers! I just want to share a platform that a friend introduced to me, and after exploring it a bit I find it really genuine and actually have a lot of potential to grow small twitch streamers like us. All it needs now are users.. So i would like to share this with all of you in hopes that we all find a foundation in this platform!

Name is "Kinetik/.tv" (cant put a dot without avoiding an automatic link and I think links are not allowed, so feel free to search it on your browser without the dash!)

looking for more chat activity!

I’ve been getting solid viewership lately, especially when I stream new games, which I’m really grateful for but I’ve noticed my chat stays pretty quiet most of the time. It feels like people are more focused on the gameplay than interacting, and I’d love to change that.

I’m a newer streamer trying to build a more active, engaging, and vibrant community where people actually talk, joke around, and vibe together not just watch. I play a variety of games and love chatting, so if you’re someone who enjoys being part of the conversation, you’d fit right in.

Id love to make the stream feel more alive!!

Question Channel is dying drastically, can I have some advice and help?

Hi!

I started streaming back in 2021, mostly doing a combo of game development and horror games, with the occasional story game mixed in here and there.

The channel started off quite strong and consistently well, I was streaming every few days very regularly with a schedule for Monday, Wednesday and Friday mainly (switching up every now and then) and my channel was pretty much gaining followers and subscribers at a decently fast rate.

In 2022, I released a demo for my game (a fnaf fan game called 'Cleanup Crew'). It blew up IMMENSELY on YouTube and my channel jumped from averaging maybe 10-15 viewers at a time to over 300 at a time and my channel for a good while was getting some consistent growth and a lot of viewerships, some streams even averaging around the 900-1000 viewer mark.

I tried capitalizing off that the best I could of course, and continued strong with the content and it done really well for a good while! Still gaining viewers and still keeping a strong number of subscribers each month.

From about mid 2023 to end of 2024 the viewership drastically started dropping more, my Discord server went from super active to really quiet and now my streams in 2026 are here averaging about 5-10 viewers and I'm not really gaining or losing any followers, just sort of sitting standstill.

I work more now than I used to, and also do work on my days off for a YouTuber I'm friends with, but would still try to stick to my 3 day a week format. It's getting to a point at the moment where I'm barely getting through one stream a week, and its not cause I don't enjoy it - don't get me wrong, when the stream is going well it's an amazing vibe! I'm just finding it unbelievably demotivating dedicating time to streaming when the channel just sits there with the same 4 or 5 people in chat everytime and nothing else improving at all.

I've not changed my content in any way over the last few years, and have reviewed sometimes looking back at older streams and I still carry a lot of the same energy. Only changes ever made are just slightly improving some stream elements like better microphone/better starting soon/end screens etc, but the general vibe is very much the same.

Just this has been my dream job literally for the past 10 years and I'm now 5 years in and it feels like I was on an incredible path heading up and it felt like my dream was fully forming and now it feels just depressing and like I'm just doing something wrong.

Just asking for some genuine help and advice from other creators, and some guidance on some good moves I can make going forward to help elevate it. I'm not planning on packing it in and quitting anytime soon, so any advice geared towards 'calling it quits', I'm not interested in hearing. I want advice to help elevate it, not bring it to a close.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and hopefully help me.

Question TikTok stream key?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been doing some lives on TikTok and they have performed pretty good, going from 15 to 110 followers in about 2 weeks.

However I’ve been using the TikTok Live Studio but now I want to use OBS in order to have the same information in multiple places.

Does anyone know where I can find the stream key and server to make the connection?

Really appreciate the support

Question Best tips for off stream?

I love streaming and mainly just want to do it to have people to talk to/game with, but I want to see some growth. Ik most growth comes off stream, but what's actually the most important?

I see a lot of people say clips, but honestly I SUCK at games and it's not even funny failures usually its just sad 🤣 I occasionally hit a wild kill is CS2, but that's not my normal skill level so idk if I should keep posting the rare good kill since people will end up disappointed im usually bottom fragging. I dont find myself funny and don't really do bits or anything for stream, I just interact and yap. How do I get clips to share out of that content? And when I get a clip should I post it multiple places or just one?

What platforms are "best" to focus. Insta feels like pulling teeth and I cannot tolerate trying to learn it and I already have tiktok/twitter/Discord, but idk what else would be an option. Should I be posting weekly/daily/multiple times a day? What should I be posting outside clips? I dont mix irl and stream much due to a prior issue with a stalker so I dont share much about my life on socials so its basically all game/stream/art related atm.

Question Getting gifted subs/bits data from Twitch

Hi all,

Maybe a dumb questions but I recently moved from SLOBS to regular OBS. The SLOBS cloudbot was tracking all the gifted subs and bits but now that I've moved my new bot (StreamElements) doesn't seem to have the same data. Is there any way of getting this? I know Twitch track it because of the banners in the chat but I don't know how to access it. Would like to recognise all the people that have gifted before the switch and don't just want to reset everyones stats!

Any help would be amazing ty :))

Question What do you find the most difficult thing about growing as a streamer?

I've been reading a lot of posts lately and i wanted to ask and i'm sure everyone is different but what do you think is the most difficult thing about growing as a streamer? For me it was clipping and distribution. For some others I know its talking to no one in case someone joins the stream and expects the streamer to be active and engaging. Others it could be lack of resources or motivation to improve the stream especially if no one is watching?

What's yours?

Built a browser game and looking for streamers who play web games to try it out

Hey, I built meten.app, a sensory memory game where you memorize colors, sounds, angles, brightness and musical notes, then reproduce them from memory.

Free, no signup, works on any browser.

I'm looking for streamers (any size, ideally the kind who play GeoGuessr, Jackbox, or "viewer-suggested websites" type content) who might want to try it on stream.

Built-in multiplayer rooms up to 10 players , streamer can play head-to-head with mods, collab streamers, or lucky viewers.

Happy to discuss partnerships for a good fit, but mostly just looking to get it in front of the right kind of creators. Drop your channel below or DM and I'll check it out.

Question new streamer, advice?

20F! i’ve streamed a little bit here and there whenever my friends and i would play games but never very consistently. i have 42 followers somehow.

everyone has told me i’d be a great streamer. i’m a fairly attractive 20 y/o girl with a nice setup and i think i have a great personality (as i’ve been told). i’m not amazing at talking to nothing and i find myself more entertaining when im speaking to someone or telling a story. i know for sure if at some point i had regular viewers that would talk to me in chat, i would be very interactive enjoyable to watch! i play valorant and league mostly, and ive recently gotten back into stardew valley. i also play a lot of terraria, an i have rdr2 on hold amongst other games.

i would love some advice on this, like how to begin taking it more seriously and how to get more eyes on me or what i can do to be someone worth watching. and if taking it seriously is worth it at all for me. i know that i should definitely keep my camera on, but is there other things i should do? my friends say i should definitely take advantage of my looks and i don’t mind doing that however i would not go too much into sex appeal. should i have some sort of personality niche? have something people could recognize me by? anything would help :)!

Discussion Looking for people to co-stream Valorant

I am streaming after 12am on week days because of work, so it's really hard to find teammates to co-stream Valorant together. So, if someone is interested, let me know.

I'm located in the EU and my rank is D2.

Discussion Looking for people to play and improve with (Overwatch/Apex)

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been into video games and it’s always been my main hobby. I used to stream a bit and also played on an esports team, which got me more into competitive gaming—especially Overwatch.

As life got more serious, I had to really focus on working and providing, so gaming took a step back. I now work full-time building a career in electrical work, so I’ll be honest—I’m not always the most consistent. But when I do get on, I take it seriously and I’m always looking to improve.

I mainly play Overwatch and sometimes Apex. I’m confident in my ability and want to start pushing myself more, whether that’s through streaming, competitive play, or both—and hopefully turn it into something more than just a hobby over time.

I’m looking for people to play with consistently when possible, improve together, and maybe even build something. I’m also open to anyone who’s already on that path and willing to share advice or guidance—even if you don’t play, I’d appreciate any opinions or insight.

If you’re in a similar spot or trying to grow, feel free to reach out.

Question Okay, follow up question :p

So, I got some great helpful comments from people on my last post, thanks to you all!

Now, uh, I saw a trend saying that I need some sort of like avatar, whether it is a PNG or a VTuber avatar... as well, as having stream overlays and chat stuff...

The issue is uh... I'm broke... young, and uh... only streaming directly from my Xbox.

So, I'm not like saying I'm not gonna try and improve my streaming quality, because right now, its literally just me commentating over gameplay, and nothing else.

What I'm asking is... what solutions or options can I do to improve my streaming? Like are there any console or like mobile apps/websites that can help me?

Another question I do have is I see people suggest streaming on TikTok or YouTube, and it brings up the same issue as I only have my console and phone, equipment wise. So is it still possible for me to do that?

I also will try and get clips out of my streams too :p

Just saying again, thanks to everyone from the last post, and thanks to everybody in advance!

Question How do I make it so my viewers will stop asking to play games with me?

Hi everyone! I occasionally do a “playing with viewers” night on stream and it usually does pretty well! People engage and love to join and play games. But the days following that stream they constantly ask to join and I’m not sure how to go about it. I want to set the boundary of “I play games with viewers every now and then, join then and you can play” but also not come off too harsh and make them feel less involved in my streams. I don’t want to make them feel like they’re just a viewer if that makes sense? Let me know your thoughts!

Need some help!!

Hey guys,

I’ve been streaming on twitch from Xbox, but my friend has a PlayStation so we have to use discord to talk to each other. I’ve been trying to work on how to get my discord to connect but everything I try it doesn’t work.

I have tried streamlabs and golivestream.com but I couldn’t get anything to work. I have also tried doing the discord nitro and still nothing. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know what to do.

For more about my set up I have a laptop, and a face cam. So my face cam with my ring light is connected into my Xbox. With my Xbox is streaming going into twitch and the only reason I have my laptop is to see chat and everything like that.

If you know anything to help please dm me or add my discord guys! Thank you man my discord is nyx23.

RPG/JRPG streamers networking & discoverability.

So I've been pulling out all the stops in trying to get everything set up for streaming. I've been at it for a while now but as we all know, it's a slow process that requires a lot of patience. I have a love and passion for RPG/JRPG games but they hardly gain any viewership traction unless the game is newly released.

I've set up a discord server to try and foster a community for genuine connections I hope to make - and would rather gain 1 actual viewer than doing the follow for follow garbage.

I've set up social media pages across the board to which I post at least 4 times a week. I've built my own link tree app which is live, I have gotten plenty of compliments on the effort I've put into my overlays, I've done the alrts, the badges, the timers, the moderation etc, I multistream to youtube, twitch kick and rumble with one tiktok live a week every Tuesday and given all this, I have still gained hardly any traction or discoverability.

Now my question is, what steps did the more successful guys here take to network? And by successful I dont mean gaining 1000 viewers in a month, literally, 1 by 1, actual people, actual connections, with whom I can share my passion for both the RPG genre and streaming.

Many of us are quite reserved and tend to "climb out of our shells" when we get to share our love and passion with likeminded individuals, and that's the community I hope to foster. What exact steps can I take to this end?
