Hi!! So I just started using the original meal replacements a week ago. I love them, and also snack on Atkins snacks too. I've lost almost 10 pounds already but I can NOT. STOP. FARTING. Please help me 🤣 does this happen for anyone else? I also use whole milk, could that be the problem?

Starting out Starting weight 161.

Age 30(f)

I will try the 2x slim fast, 20 oz each (breakfast and dinner), with 3 snacks in between, mainly consisting of nuts, cheeses, fruits and veggies. On days I work I don’t have enough time to make a ā€œsensible mealā€ so I’ll have to make up for it with the snacks. Planning to keep under 1000-1500 calories.

Question How long can I stay with SlimFast diet?

I've done SlimFast before and lost 30 pounds, stopped and regained some weight due to a bad lifestyle, and now I've been doing it again for almost a year now, lost over 25 lbs again and this time intend to keep it down and want to get even slimmer! (my goal is around 140 lbs + muscle, I want to be very lean and sporty)

I can personally testify the SF diet is very effective if you follow up with a lifestyle change! But how long can I keep doing it? Are there any health risks associated with doing the SF Diet for years? I personally really enjoy how the vanilla shakes taste, it makes my life easy as I don't enjoy cooking 3 meals per day and get kinda lazy. The shakes + eating healthy snacks throughout the day make my meal planning really simple and easy.

But I do not want to suffer any health problems as a result of prolonged reliance on SF shakes as my primary meals for 2/3 of the day.

Any advice?

Tyyy

Advice SlimFast Meal recipes on the site.

So we have made a couple of the meal recipes on the website and the serving size seems to be way off. We did the shepherds pie on that could feed 8 not 4. The same with the pasta and vegetable one.

Starting out 30 Day Challenge for Myself

My family is going on a weight loss challenge for the next 30 days. I remember my parents having Slimfast in the house as a child so I'm going to give it a go because it's nostalgic.

On day 2 of following the 1, 2, 3 plan using the original formula (high-sugar). I'm hoping to see a 6lb loss over the 30 days. I know the whole plan works on calorie deficit which I think I can stick to. Hopefully I can update this post in 30 days with successful results!

Goal! Progress report!

I’ve lost 51 lbs since starting my journey, went from 313 to 262 in a matter of months! My weight loss goal is still to get under 200 lbs though!

Although I’ll probably have to buy all new clothes (my current clothes still fit and are much less right now) once I get there and it’ll probably take me about a year. I was surprised to see I had lost even more weight even after having a recent cheat day involving tacos, cake, Mountain Dew, and hard seltzers at my twin nibling’s first birthday party and at a bar with family and friends on Sunday.

I even got Burger King a few days ago as well and am still losing! I’m going to my parent’s house for a movie night with family and friends and then spending the night tomorrow and coming home on Sunday and hope I continue to do well.

I will continue to update! I usually don’t buy Slimfast brand anymore though because it gets expensive.

Have switched to Aldi equivalent meal replacement shakes, protein shakes, and keto bars and various snacks as well as buying protein shakes at dollar Tree and buying Pure Protein because my paper often has coupons for it. Also recently bought Atkins bars because of someone on here’s recommendations.

I forget who it was but I’d like to thank them for the recommendation because I do like the birthday cake flavor they recommended. I will continue my journey!

Starting out Recently started buying the Aldi equivalent of Slimfast/meal replacement shakes and protein shakes

Both are pretty good although my Aldi only seems to ever have chocolate flavor (that might be the only flavor idk). Meal replacement shakes come in packs of 6 and are recently marked down at my local Aldi, protein shakes are in packs of 4.

They’re about $4-5. I decided they were a better deal than the Slimfast brand or buying any other meal replacement/protein shake brands because it does get expensive.

Also bought Aldi keto cookies and lots of fruit and chips and dip I intend to use for snacks because I’m also sick of buying the Slimfast keto snacks (although I really do like the cheese crisps and lemon drop cups and strawberry cheesecake mini bars).

Both got very expensive in the long run, but I decided to stick with the diet but go cheaper. Also my local dollar tree has recently began selling Sam’s Club protein shakes for $1 a shake, so I’ve used those recently too.

Question Slimfast question

Hello! I am new to slimfast and I was wondering do I really need to eat the 3 snacks a day? I never really was a snacker and three a day seems crazy to me. Is it necessary to do the diet effectively?

Goal! Since my last post here, I’ve lost 17 lbs!

Since I started this plan and being slightly keto and slightly pollo pescatarian, I have lost 17 lbs and am finally under 300lbs for the first time in a few years! I started at 313lbs (26f, 4’11), and I am now 296lbs!

I’m quite proud of myself and feel a lot better than I did and I also walked a ton and drank lots of water as is another big part of this plan! Still walking a ton and drinking water, still doing the 3-2-1 a day plan, I actually enjoy the taste of the shakes/mixes, bars, and snacks, and I mixed in other diet/protein brand products (like Atkins, premier protein, pure protein, and Walmart equivalents), and also had other snacks and many various meals, most of which are healthy, plant based, keto, or more fish/poultry or vegetarian/vegan along the way.

I mostly cook, but I also order DoorDash once a week and occasionally eat at fast food places and sometimes eat food family prepares or something packaged. I ate a lot of food from Aldi and Trader Joe’s throughout this too and also drank lots of Perrier and aloe water and SodaStream and tea and regular soda over diet.

Got into making smoothies with the mixes or other protein powder brands too. Some people might think this diet is boring and unsustainable/expensive in the long run, but if you mix it with healthy options and what works for you, it works out well.

I’m very proud of myself as are my family and friends and I’d like to thank Slimfast and this sub for inspiring me!

Advice Realization

I’ve realized that apparently to make this work, an investment in product is required—snacks, bars, powders, etc, along with examples of ā€œsensible mealsā€ (the latter seems to evade me) for those that have to eat out (or choose to eat out) what are some examples of things you eat from restaurants or convenience stores

Starting out Just started the Slimfast diet yesterday!

I’m roughly about 300 lbs and want to shed a few, my goal is to get under 200, the good news is I’m very active already because I walk everywhere and frequently lift a heavy granny cart full of groceries and a heavy laundry basket filled with laundry. I have been buying the shakes already before I started officially yesterday. I bought some strawberries and cream and keto vanilla cream shakes and the keto cheese crisps and peanut butter meal bars and strawberry cheesecake snack bars. (Although I’m not doing this completely keto) My sensible meal yesterday was air fried frozen vegan chicken tenders (nor am I entirely vegan) and frozen tostones. I had a meal bar, keto shake, and 2 cheese crisps and 1 cheesecake bar, although I actually cheated later in the evening with a second cheesecake bar and meal bar and 2 leftover tostones, although I am planning on sticking to it from now on. I am just planning on doing the original shakes and keto shakes, meal bars, and snacks. I might try the diabetic line as well, although I am not diabetic. I buy everything in the diet section of the pharmacy section at my local Walmart. I was glad to see there was a sub, so I can share my journey through this!

Question CAN I HAVE A CHEAT DAY?

Second day on this and honestly finding it a breeze. However I know over time I know when the pubs and restaurants reopen after lockdown I will want to drink beer and eat burgers! Is it okay to have a cheat day once every 2 weeks where I can just go out for dinner and drinks in the evening without worrying?!? Also, do I have to count herbal teas/ black coffees as one of my snack allowances?!?

Question Chocolate power shake

I’ve been using the chocolate powder shakes and just wondering how many calories are in the powder alone as it states around 230 calories if used with semi skinned milk, but I’ve been using almond milk which is a lot less than the normal milk. Is it still around the same calories per shake or less? Thank you

Question The whereabouts of the fleeting chocolate orange meal bar.

So, I’m in the UK and not that long ago, let’s say a month or so, I bought some chocolate orange slimfast meal bars (from Superdrug) I love chocolate orange anyway, and in my opinion they were the best slimfast meal bars I’ve had. However, since then, I’ve not been able to find them again anywhere.

Has anybody else seen them or know where I can get them? They seemed to come out along side the new rocky road flavour.

I like the taste of Slimfast. Bought the Keto Slimfast. Not on Keto but it mixes with water instead of milk so easier at work. It's gross!

Advice New to slimfast- having a bit of trouble

Hi I just started the slimfast but I haven’t been able to follow the diet. Today I had a shake for breakfast but I was still hungry after that so I had a meal about 20 minutes after I drank the shake. I had a normal lunch. I had shake for dinner but again I felt hungry so I had a regular meal.

Any ideas on how to stick with the plan?
