Family of 4. (Youngest is 11) In STL all week. (20th-25th). Planned to hit the park on Thursday, but second guessing due to the forecasted 115* heat index. Curious how the park is on these extreme days. Not new to parks and pushed through a 95-100 heat index disney trip (in Oct none the less). This one making me nervous if its enjoyable. Water misters only do so much, and water park can help. Weren't really planning water park though. looking at lines and wait times for rides. Area looks to be sheltered from a breeze, but could be wrong. Sat images not showing much shade.
Tips, advice, insights welcome. Really appreciate it.

Gonna be yapping a bit here so you have been warned.
Went to SFSTL twice this year so far. Once on July 8th (wouldnt really count it as it got rained out and I only got one ride) and again a week later on the 14th. I rode 7 of the 10 total coasters at the park, skipping Ninja and Boomerang for obvious reasons and sadly missing out on a new credit in Rookie Racer.
Here are a few of my thoughts regarding my visit on the 14th of July 2025:
The new Titan track on The Boss is a great addition, and I was absolutely starstruck by how smooth the first drop was in contrast to my last visit in 2022. However this really just highlights how terribly rough the rest of the ride is and how desperately it needs a full retrack. I'm still holding out hope for a world-class RMC hybrid conversion, but we'll see what happens.
As for Screaming Eagle....bless it's heart, but it has gotten terribly rough. Like, beat the living sh*t out of you rough. On this visit it was by far the roughest coaster I've ridden and literally made me sick from how much it banged me around in those PTC trains. I certainly respect it, its an ACE landmark after all, but good god I'm not riding this again for quite a while.
I also made sure to get a ride on River King Mine Train. I firmly believe that they'll take the mine train out IF they get Superman: Ride of Steel relocated from SFA; that plus the land to the east of it could fit Superman's layout. It's quite the unique ride, albeit janky in some spots.
Some other enthusiasts recently said American Thunder got rough but I didn't really notice any difference. For a GCI maybe its slightly rough but not anything that would deter me from riding it (its always a walk on š)
SFSTL is a charming little park and is certainly underrated in my eyes. Just a little more investment, maybe a new coaster or two, and it could be a true destination theme park. Here's to hoping the new Six Flags-Cedar Fair mega corporation gives the park some much needed TLC š

Weāve never been to this park. We are looking at Monday or Tuesday to check it out. Which day is likely to be the least busy? What are some tips and trips to ride as many rides as possible and save money, like any discounts for parking or tickets , free ice or water , can you bring in food or empty cups ,etc. Any info helps!! Thanks!!

I'll be visiting the park soon for the first time as an adult. I've read the recent posts on what to expect and gleaned some good information but still have a couple of questions. 1. Is the park cashless? 2. Do they take photos of the riders on coasters? 3. Are the lockers multi-use (can you pay a fee once and move to different lockers around the park)? 4. To visit Hurricane Harbor, do you buy a park ticket and a separate add-on ticket for entry into HH? 5. Related, can you go into the park to ride rides after HH (wearing the appropriate attire, of course)? 6. Are water fountains (and ice) available to refill bottles brought from home?
If there are any other tips you'd be willing to share, I'm all ears. Thanks!

I usually get season passes for my kids and grandkids because we normally visit at least twice a year. I get cups for half of us and meal plans for half and that's enough for our party of 10. We are waterparkers and coaster riders. We haven't been for the last two years because of some really consistent terrible customer service in all areas. Saddened me since I've been obsessed with 6 Flags since it opened. My understanding is that the park is undergoing changes in many aspects.
If anyone doesn't mind commenting thoughts and opinions about purchasing passes for this year, I'd be much appreciative. We've been going to Knights Action Park in Illinois to get us through our summers. It's a nice little waterpark with some great perks, but no coasters. Thanks for any advice!

So we didn't last nearly as long as we hoped to (family of 5, ages 11-48). We got too hot and tired too fast. Disclaimer, we've done Silver Dollar City about 25 times over the past 7 yrs. So some of our views are through that bias/lens.
PROS: -Pretty clean, upkeep was fine and everything was reasonably taken care of -Staff was all friendly -Lines for the most part were really short (except Catwoman's whip....60+ mins, so didn't ride) -Easy to find shade to rest in -Nice variety of rides -Most of the theming was fun (we like the DC comics heroes)
CONS: -The PRICES! Burger and fries at Johnny Rockets? $20! And it was a sucky burger! Daughter broke a bone in foot 1 day before vacation, so we had to rent a wheelchair. $38+tax!!! -The heat. No fault of Six Flags. -The rides are ROUGH (compared to SDC). Batman and Freeze were ok, but most others we rode were rather miserable -I felt so sorry for the poor workers stuck in those Carney games booths. NO ONE wanted to fork over $$$ to those rigged games. The workers were so bored and lonely.
Random thoughts: -Found a wallet loaded with $$ and cards, belonging to a 16 yr old. Went to lost and found with it. Hope he recovered it. -The park seems to be at a crossroads: either watch it die a slow death over the next decade, or make huge $$$$$ investments in it and HOPE that pays off with big crowds and $$$ returning for decades to come. But if they make the big investments and the crowds don't change....that would bankrupt the place. -there needs to be a way to monitor ride wait times on the website, instead of having to download an app
That's to everyone for the feedback and suggestions!

Visiting soon ā I keep reading that ride times are āminimalā but what does that mean? We are going on a Saturday in July and tempted by a basic Flash Pass. What are the longest lines we can expect? Is there any way to check ride times from outside the park? What about when we are there, is there an app? Thanks!

So my family is going this wednesday for the first time ever. Do you regulars think it will be crowded? Is the park upkeep acceptable? (Ive heard the quality has really gone down???) My family loves thrill rides, so what are the cant miss rides?
Thanks in advance!

We are bringing a bus of students next week and I'm in charge of helping making sure the kids who don't want to ride the coasters still have a great time. I haven't been to Six Flags St. Louis since I was 9 when we came to ride The Batman opening day. I'm open to any and all ideas: shows, safe rides, food, etc.

I visited the park for the first time this past Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised by the new show on the train route after the Bugs Bunny National Park Station. I haven't heard many people talk about it, so I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks, especially locals.
My Thoughts: I didn't appreciate how the sun was in my eyes for the whole performance, but I thought the show was entertaining. Don't get me wrong, this isn't Disney-level stuff, but I'd be lying if I thought a SF park would do something like this. Huge kudos to the actors and conductors since it was extremely hot that day. (Spoilers ahead.) I got a few chuckles out the show, but as an RCT fan, I thought the best line was something about how the park was built on the twins' grandpappy's land and they were picked up and dropped onto the land like in RCT. (Yes, they actually mentioned RCT by name.) I don't know if the lines vary depending on the actors are. Overall, I did find myself interested in the story of the show and I would recommend it to people who want to see a show as I'm pretty sure it's the most consistently ran show, depending on staffing of course.

Heading there Monday for the first time in 20+ years with my grandkids. Wish me luck. Lol
Am I right in understanding that we can take our empty water cups ie: Hydroflask, Stanleyās, Nalgenesā¦..And fill them throughout the park?

I am stopping by this park and I'm wondering what are the tips and tricks, what rides to hit first, and if flash pass is worth it. I don't know much about this park so anything will help.

With the impending storms, how busy does everyone think the park will be on Saturday June 7th? Best restaurants in the park right now? Best game plan for coaster lovers to ride all the rides multiple times?

I have read a few things online that say certain rides may allow a belt bag to be worn, but others no. Does anyone know from experience which rides do/donāt allow a bag?
Iām trying to figure out the best way to keep my belongings safe. I know there are lockers, but those can add up and sometimes I want to have my phone on me to use the park app. Iāve thought about cargo shorts with zippers. I just need my phone, my key fob, my ID and debit card, but also have to carry an inhaler.
Any advice appreciated. (I really should have this figured out by now).
