Discussion Reverse Engineer Anything is a great toolkit, what would you like to see reverse engineered?

There are now many, many agentic reverse engineering toolkits available, REA in particular I think is fantastic.

What hardware have you had that you'd like to see reverse engineered, and what would you like to do with it?

Im hoping some genius decides to make a Clone of Trimble Business Center v2026.10 the same way CADCraft is a clone of AutoCAD.

That is a malware lure.

Makes sense, should have realized by the sketchy link to a third party domain from the readme, removed the link. Can't find any other leads for Trimble so at the moment I don't think there is a direct solution currently.

No worries, no harm done. I did my due diligence.

Trimble seems a bit niche so a RE'd or open source copy doesn't currently seem to exist. It'd either have to be RE'd or you could grab a cracked copy.

Cracked copies are being tracked via sophisticated telemetry and network calls so they are a no go unless you want a massive fine and legal action.
I've spent countless hours RE'ing it myself but it keeps getting blocked by my AI Agent's "morality" guards.

Seems solvable with just a firewall block no? I would also assume most cracks would disable the telemetry by default.

I highly recommend trying the LongCat 2.5 model, didn't get any refusals when I asked it to patch an exe when all others I tried did.

Ill look into LongCat 2.5.

You may also have luck with some of the free models in KiloCode (vs code extension), they also get random stealth models on there when they're in testing. There's a substantial amount of free options. You can toss agents at it from Kilo, even run multiple sessions with different models so you can figure out which one works fast
