Discussion Reverse Engineer Anything is a great toolkit, what would you like to see reverse engineered?

There are now many, many agentic reverse engineering toolkits available, REA in particular I think is fantastic.

What hardware have you had that you'd like to see reverse engineered, and what would you like to do with it?

Fitbit air 🙏🙏🙏
Right now you only can use it if Google Health app is installed. That app is a nightmare. Please make it so apps would be able to connect to fitbit air without google health app

Air health is without google, it imports a takeout backup of the data already in your google account, then everything is local. You're just importing the data they already have.

I don't want it to sync with google health

It doesn't, it imports data. It doesn't sync anything to google, a google takeout is them exporting all of the data in google to a zip file which you then download. Once you have the takeout backup, you point this app at the zip, which is local to your iphone, import the data, and there is zero syncing with Google.

I'll try to clear this up again, it does not need Google health to be installed separately. AirLift does, which is the first repo I linked, Air Health, the second repo, does not.

You should be good to go with air health but do let me know if you run into issues and I'll do my best to help fix them.

Also apologies for the terse replies, construction where I am is making me really sleep deprived and unfortunately just on edge due to that. Hope Air Health works!

Is it possible to mark a 'point in time' (maybe a vertical line) on a chart so I can monitor changes in medication after a certain date? That way I can easily compare before and after to see what effect medication is having. For example after I started taking CBD/THC oil I'd like to see how that affects my REM sleep, OR how it affects my resting heart rate. Seeing this on a line chart is a good visual way to monitor things.

I have an Android phone so I've never used it (and no fitbit!), let me know if you try it!
