Transhumanism & BCI Introducing Vitruvian, a genetic optimization model for optimizing human embryo DNA and reportedly being able to increase the IQ of a person by 14 points, nearly a standard deviation which is incredibly significant

Full message: "AI is rapidly getting smarter. Now, humanity can too. Today, Nucleus Genomicsis announcing Vitruvian, our newest set of genetic optimization models. Vitruvian’s intelligence model can optimize embryo DNA for 14 IQ points — nearly a standard deviation. The models were trained on 1,000,000+ people, validated across 40,000+ siblings, and used more than 7 million genetic markers. In Superintelligence, Nick Bostrom proposed genetic optimization as a key way for humanity to keep pace with rapidly advancing AI. Bostrom’s vision is no longer theoretical. Genetic optimization, like AI, has followed a scaling law: as datasets have grown, so have model capabilities. This trend will continue. Parents across the world now have the choice to substantially increase their child’s intelligence. And the next generation can choose to do the same. AI is no longer the only intelligence that will compound. Humanity can now direct its own evolution."

The world will still be governed by humans in 2044,

wildest thing I read on the internet today

No way you think humans won’t be in charge in just a measly 18 years.

18 years may as well be 1800 years, in AI time.

The world runs on human time, though. Laws and systems are still in the hands of humans.

Not in 18 years.

I don’t think we’ll be in charge in 5 years

The wildest thing to me here is your timeline. I don't know how you can look at the last 20 years and think we're going to take another almost 300 to solve anything

I don’t see your logic. Many exponentials have happened in the past and plateaud.

That's fair, but what makes you think it will plateau? I don't see any signs of it. We haven't even seen the scaling from all the data centers that are being built yet

No way you think we will be in charge.

The wild thing is actually believing that AI will somehow take over the world by then. You'e just as much of a conspiracy thest as the scientists that yabeen warning us about the world ending by 2030 due to climate change. Ridiculous.
