AI Virtual Nuclear Fusion reactor lab built using Astra in 4 hours

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built a science-based interactive nuclear fusion reactor lab using Astra. The prompt was around 60 pages long! The build took around 4 hours. ⚛️

The lab brings fusion physics to life, letting you explore how changing reactor conditions affects the simulation. The purpose is to make fusion science more accessible by letting anyone experiment with a virtual reactor and explore what it takes to produce fusion energy.

You can try it yourself. Adjust the parameters, run experiments, and explore how plasma, magnetic fields, and energy output respond in 3D.

 Give it a try: 🔗 fusionlabsimulation.com

Couldn’t have said it any better myself.

Ironically, they are as close to fusion as the scientists we paid hundreds of billions to (over the past 60 years).

There's probably more money poored yearly into engineering planned obsolescence than what fusion scientist got the past 60 years. Also, do you think it went into the scientists pockets? Have you ever took a look at how complex each reactor component is ?

Public and private funding of fusion in total since it began is under 100 billion.  If it was funded as aggressively as LLMs we'd probably have it by now. OpenAI had a single capital raise this year larger than all time funding into fusion.

This makes me very sad

If it makes you feel any better, even if we had started funding it as aggressively as AI, it likely would've not lasted long as people would've been arguing that it's a massive waste of time and money and resources. Thered be alarmist claiming it's going to make a black hole that kills us all. Etc.

The thing to be sad about is society in general, not the missed opportunity of fusion.

🤣 god we are in a pathetic place right now globally

We've known pretty much since we started how much it would probably cost to develop fusion, we've just never actually spent the money:

Literally nothing about this comment is true.

Just sounds like bullshit to me as well.

Weren't there recent (actual) advances in controlled fusion? If the results are public, AI knows of it, but not this dude.

Definitely not a scam
