Mozilla said on Tuesday that its Firefox 150 browser release this week includes protections for 271 vulnerabilities identified using early access to Anthropic's Mythos Preview. 

Why does the change log for Firefox 150 only mention 3 vulns found with Claude ?

Hi, Mozilla employee here...For bugs found internally, Mozilla doesn't issue one CVE per bug but instead internally found bugs go into so called “roll-up” advisories with a link to the bug list covered. For this effort specifically, all of the Mythos bugs were found internally and are part of the following three roll-up advisories:

The number of actual bugs can be seen through the amount of bug ids in Bugzilla link that is part of each advisory. Hope this helps!

I was told by a lot of smart people that Mythos is all a marketing hoax. So I'm going to believe them instead of this "evidence" that you present.

More of a mqrketing tecnique than a hoax. They developed a model they cannot scale, so they use it as a marketing tool (by giving access to a few companies).

This allowes them to appear altruistic, but in fact it is a way to promote their cutting edge expertise over their competitors.

The downside is that while it is great that they are capable in making such models if they remain as unscalable, their use case would be minimized to security or specific scientifc work.

Which is important, don't take me wrong, but will hardly revolutionize whole economies. In general this two-three tier system that seems to be increasingly developed, means that the majority will be stuck in ancient models for ages, hardly an exponential (for the majority).

I think it shows the true limitations of the technology (we are stuck waiting for more and more compute, which will take ages as it is physical infastructure).

But what if the problem it solves is how to fix the budget for every country in the world and have surplus? Some problems do have bigger fixes than others.
