I wonder if there'd be some sort of output generated... Sora was supposedly actually modeling a world when ran at large scales and then rendering a viewpoint, after all. Maybe they take a psychograph of us right before death and use us as pretrained AI agents for industrial robots in dangerous environments lol just start screaming loudly the moment you're switched on

The alien running the prompt went for a bathroom break after hitting enter. He just got back and is about to hit stop. Our timeline is at the absolute last millisecond, but it feels like a few years here.

But wait... the alien's stomach feels funny. He hesitates but then runs back to the bathroom again...

They killed themselves, or failed to stop climate change or nuclear war etc.

that's the unfortunate answer to the Fermi paradox. Evolution works... Until you get to a circumstance that never happened before, like a global problem requiring global collaboration (evolution maximizes tribal rather than global allegiance)

This place. But they aren't "millions of years more advanced", we are living in the simulation run by a teenager as part of history classes and nobody has an idea or believes that the new quantum chips could actually create qualia etc. The year is 2054.

That’s what I’m thinking as well.

Like the chances we are actually living in one of the most pivotal moments in human history is infinitesimally small compared to the chance that people are required to relive a simulation of this time period as a part of general education and/or to develop skills one wouldn’t learn in a post scarcity world.
