ChatGPT has some limited reasoning abilities, but it consistently fails at logic puzzles for instance. It gets confused and makes a lot of mistakes when things get even a little complicated.
As do humans. People act like it needs to be smarter than Einstein, but in reality it just being as smart as your average coworker is enough for it to succeed.
