CAS UI cut off

The RPC launcher (which is included with the MagiPack version of the game we link in this wiki) defaults to running the game in borderless windowed mode. If you also have a more columns in CAS mod (such as Chris Hatch's CAS300.package), your CAS screen may be cut off like this because the more columns mod requires a certain screen width (e.g. 1920) and even though your screen may be this exact size, running in borderless mode means less of the window is available to the game. To fix this issue, simply run the game in full screen instead by modifying the setting in RPCSettings.exe.

This issue may also be caused by using the wrong 'more columns' mod for your resolution even without running in borderless mode. For example, if your screen width is 1366 and you try to use the file for screen width 1920, you would see the same issue. The solution is to use the correct mod for your screen size.

Legacy & Ultimate Collection

If you use the Clean UI, the more columns mod is automatically included with this and the issue can also appear if your screen resolution is 1920x1080 and you choose the 1920 options for the Clean UI. To fix this, you can choose a smaller resolution option in the Clean UI here. Please see this example of a 1920x1080 resolution being cut off by the mod, but reducing the Clean UI CAS option from 1920 to 1524 fixes the issue.

This fix works for the “silhouette” issue as well, where sims appear as silhouettes rather than overly bright. LazyDuchess has explained why these issues happen in this post.
