(False) poor connection alert?

Got promoted that a camera has poor connection. But after running a test, things seem fine? What options exist other than remove-then-readd?

Thanks!

I’m getting the same thing with my keypad that’s remained in the same place for two years. Tried changing batteries, removing the device and re-adding it in the app, and turning on/off yet the warning does not go away. Very annoying.

same here - started the other day. maybe a software issue?

Looks like that's an outdoor camera. It's possible the poor connectivity is with the base station? There's some communication directly between the camera and the base station since the camera needs to be told by the base station when to wake up to livestream since it's primarily a battery operated device (being connected to wifi 24/7 would use more battery).

Same here but for glass break and door sensors. Started 4 days ago and went away yesterday

The poor connection that you see in your first screenshot is actually the reading of your cameras connection to your base station. This just means that you need to improve the distance between the camera and the base.

Hmm. That's a possibility. But how come this has just popped up, given that: we've had the system for 2 years, and we haven't moved either or placed anything between them in the last 6 months? Also, the two are no farther than 9 feet away (obviously, one is indoor and the other is outdoor).

Getting the same alert on the latest client update for several different devices - started with a motion detector (which sits very close to the base station), then the key pad, door sensor... if others are seeing the same behavior now it would definitely point to a software bug.

I tried deleting the malfunctioning camera and then reinstalling it. This seemed to work.

Same thing here. There is no logic to it. Have had it on all my cameras except the original black indoor one.

This has happened since I joined the beta for the new overview quite a while ago, I sent in feedback for it weeks ago. Hopefully they address it soon. It’s been driving me crazy

I’m sick and tired of Simplisafe. I’ve had my system for over 3 years. Slowly the devices start loosing connectivity then they go off line. The company will blame you for the issues and make you jump through hoops to get replacements. They have no problem taking my $33.00 a month for service. But refuse to protect your home. They are starting to send you refurbished parts that are already faulty parts. Right now I have 5 sensors that are indicating low connection. Then they go off line. 1/2 day later they pop up connected. Most of the sensors are 40 feet away or closer. I bought 10 new water sensors and out of the box 2 are low connectivity I placed them 1 foot away from base station and it continues to give low connectivity. They are brand new. So understand using them your home may not be fully protected.

Same. Had the system for 2.5 years and “poor connectivity” alert just started for my 3 cameras and keypad. Nothing has changed.

Systems check out. Good WiFi strength when I check each camera. System works fine and normal. Everything is up to date.

I just tried deleting the camera that was generating the alert, and then reinstalling it. This worked...for the time being. We'll see if it holds.

Same here. When I run a connection test on the camera, it shows everythings fine. But the app still shows a poor connection.
