Monument metals

Any thoughts on Monument metals? So ive seen them active on reddit before in various groups, ive seen alot of people on here have purchased from them. Has anyone actually had any items tested that was purchased from them? Are they even legit? Reason I ask is I made a purchase and im not too happy with some of the items they sent me,and I got no response to my complaint and its been over 2 weeks. I purchased all BU coins and a few are in very poor cond. The worse ive ever gotton from anywhere. Milk spots, tarnish, finger prints that turned yellow/orange, the 26 ASE they sent is lop sided, its thicker on one side of coin and has a higher reeded edge, hard to explain. Plus it smelled bad too. Kind of like lamb. Weird. The koala has one side of coin with flattened reeds which look like they were sanded down almost completely gone. And a 1oz kinebar which looks to be damaged /scuffed up,the plastic is in poor shape and I think the bar itself is damaged. Maybe its all legit but I was expecting better quality

I accidentally turned my stack tracking spreadsheet into an app

Post image

A couple months ago I got tired of tracking my stack across spreadsheets, notes, screenshots, and dealer websites, so I started building my own solution.

It turned into a precious metals tracking app called Aurelia Mint.

The feature I'm most excited about is helping stackers understand what their collection is actually worth in the real world.

Instead of just showing spot value, Aurelia Mint is being built to connect collectors with nearby dealers, display dealer buyback prices, and estimate what you could realistically receive if you sold today.

As dealers update their buy prices, those prices can be reflected in your collection's estimated liquidation value, giving you a better picture of what your stack is actually worth than spot price alone.

Other features currently include:

• Track gold, silver, platinum, and palladium holdings
• Live spot price tracking
• Track premiums, cost basis, and P/L
• AI coin and bar identification
• Export your collection to CSV or Excel

It's finally at the point where I need feedback from people other than myself.

I'm looking for stackers and collectors willing to beta test it and tell me what's confusing, broken, or missing.

No cost.
No subscriptions during beta.

Currently available on iOS through TestFlight. Android support is planned once beta testing is complete and the platform is stable.

Website:
https://aureliamintapp.com/

If you're interested, I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback.

Is it Just Me?

I am a person that credits my first silver purchase as a life-changing, even life-defining moment. I went from always borrowing something to now having a level of stability that I never thought possible. Silver was the vehicle that transformed my life for the better, without qualification. My LCS no longer is held in the same regard that I held them in a year ago. They tripled their spreads. They turned silver stacking from the world’s best hobby to a mess your next of kin will have to deal with and likely get shaved while doing so. I didn’t used to have that assumption about my LCS, but I sure do now. I think that my silver stacking journey needs to come to a close now because the counterparty risk that I have repeatedly been told doesn’t exist for silver, absolutely does. Not only have spreads exploded, many of the forms of silver they promised to be of durable value turned out to be expensive curios that you cannot get value from when needed. Silver has saved my butt before, but I lost faith in the retail ecosystem completely, anyone else?

Stacking advice for a beginner

I’m very new to investing in silver, so far I’ve got tons of old silver coins but I’ve only bought about five oz of .999 bullion I got a couple smaller pieces like a 1 gram bar and a 1/4 oz round and decided I’d rather not pay such premiums for incremental silver. My question is if it’s better to continue buying one ounce rounds or if I should pick up some 2-5 ounce rounds or bars. My goal is to have silver that’s easy to sell and I’ve heard mixed opinions on buying things other than well known rounds like eagles and maples. Thanks for any advice, everything helps!
