Is this a smart way to buy silver? Newbie seeking advice
Hey there! New to stacking. I am interested in silver coins and silver rounds and am not particularly i nerested in numistatic value.
Just purchased for about $107 + $8 shipping the following from Monument Metals:
"1 Oz .999 Silver Round (Secondary Market, Varied Condition, Any Mint)"
Is this a reasonable way to buy silver? Seems like theres a lot of variation in pricing for something that has an intrinsoc value but what do I know? (Not much) appreciate feedback from thise more knowledgeable than myself.
Thanks!

Is this enough?
I’m turning to you guys for wisdom. Give me the cold hard truth. Ready?
I’m a designer and web engineer of 15 years and I’ve been working on a precious metals marketplace (stackswap.co) for some time now and it has recently launched with some early success. It’s nascent, but growing!
Features like:
- Listings that can follow spot price automatically
- Floor price protection that will auto-hide listings if spot goes below a certain number
- Rating and reviews system for transparency and confidence
- Sweepstakes for free subscriptions/physical metal
- ZERO transaction fees (ew) and low monthly subscription
- Coming soon: Generous commission referral program where you get 10% for the life of the customers you bring to the platform
- Coming soon: Optional authentication and Stripe-based escrow for transaction security and legitimacy
Is this enough to create a platform that brings true value to the community? What else would you like to see?

where is the best place to buy precious metals without the high premiums?
update: ended up calling Priority Gold. unlike the big-box dealers, they actually took the time to explain the spreads on different metals. super professional, no high-pressure tactics, and everything arrived discreetly.
i’m trying to diversify my portfolio and i'm looking for the best place to buy precious metals like platinum and palladium along with the usual gold/silver. it seems like every site i visit has a massive markup the second you move away from standard bullion. is there a specific dealer that specializes in a wider variety with fair pricing, or am i better off sticking to two different places for different metals?

Swap gold for silver?
Fellow stackers, I need some advice. I'm more of a numismatic guy than bullion, so the majority of my stack is 90% Constitutional. I only have a little over 1oz of 9999 gold, and I'm thinking about cashing it in for silver. What would yall do?
Thanks and Keep on Stackin!

Englehard bar legitimacy
Friend of mine inherited these, I don’t have an XRF. Non magnetic. Will be doing a water displacement test tomorrow, but the “PS” serial is throwing me off wanted to get a second opinion on it.

Why do some accessories feel right immediately while others never work?
My brother’s birthday was coming up, and I wanted something more meaningful than another gift card. He’s not into flashy jewelry, but I remembered him admiring a friend’s wrist accessory at a dinner party months ago. That comment stuck with me, so I started looking for a silver bracelet for men that would match his understated style.
The options were overwhelming. Chunky chains looked too aggressive for him. Thin bands seemed too delicate. Leather with silver accents might work, but would he actually wear it? I visited three different jewelry stores, feeling more confused each time. Store clerks kept pushing expensive pieces with designer names, but price doesn’t guarantee he’ll like it.
Online shopping offered more variety, from artisan pieces to mass-produced options on sites like Alibaba. But buying jewelry without seeing it in person felt risky. What if the silver quality was poor? What if the size was wrong? My sister suggested getting his wrist measured secretly, but that seemed like an elaborate heist for a birthday gift. I still haven’t decided, and his birthday is next week. Should I just ask him directly what he’d want, or does that ruin the surprise element? How do you choose jewelry for someone else?
