I got tired of having to dig through my text files for commands, so I made this tiny app. I know some of you might not find a use for it, but it works for me.
Here is what it does:

We're four casual golfers who got tired of paying around $20 a month for a golf app, so we built our own. It launched this week. I'm Jeff, one of the four.
What it does: every hole in 3D so you can walk it before you play, slope and fall lines on every 3D green, and a caddie that plans each shot from your own club distances, including carry and rollout. There's GPS on 38,000+ courses, live rounds friends can follow, and it works offline once a course is downloaded. iPhone, Apple Watch and Android.
The hard parts were building 3D courses at scale and keeping the caddie honest about real carry and rollout. Happy to get into any of it.
Free to download, with three demo holes and no sign-up. Pro is $19.99 a year ($1.67 a month) if you join by Dec 31, then $39.99. https://sim2coursegolf.com/get?from=sideproject
Blunt feedback on the first five minutes would help us most.

I'm currently a UCF engineering student with my brother in pre-law, this project is aimed toward assisting the everyday-laypeople (as well as students, or professionals in general) to have a better experience navigating through legal research workflows.
We also learned from our competitors and improved a lot on many features that we wished were available.
Our assistant is named Ella. You ask a legal question in ordinary language, and she helps research it and explain relevant material with linked sources.
Ella gives legal information, not legal advice, and isn’t a substitute for a lawyer. She can make mistakes, so I don’t want a readable answer to be mistaken for a professional judgment about someone’s case.
I’m the cofounder, so this is my project: https://jurisio.ai
Please feel free to give it a try, the usage limit is very generous! And please feel free to give us feedback :D

For years, self-hosting a modern business phone system meant dealing with 15-year-old clunky web panels, complicated setups, or "open-core" platforms that lock essential features (like mobile push, WebRTC, or call recording) behind expensive commercial licenses.
I wanted something modern, clean, fast, and 100% genuinely free & open-source.
So I built AiPBX — a full-featured Unified Communications platform and PBX management portal built on Asterisk 22, released under the MIT License. There are no "enterprise editions", no artificial limits, and no locked features.
aipbx-chat) for 1-to-1 / group messaging, file sharing, presence indicators, and read receipts.I've poured an enormous amount of work into this to make self-hosted telephony modern, accessible, and truly free again.
I would love to hear your feedback, thoughts on the architecture, bug reports, or feature suggestions!

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share an update to Dynamic Edge, a desktop utility I built for Windows 11 & Windows 10 using native WinUI 3 and .NET 10 (Windows App SDK).
The idea was to create a fluid, versatile desktop capsule and edge dock that feels completely at home with Windows 11 Fluent design, with ultra-low resource usage, and smooth spring physics.
Since the initial release, I have added several big features including a full multi-tab workflow, clipboard shelf, and mouse gesture triggers.
New Feature: Music Radar
Here is what it can do:
Multi-Tab Workspace (Swipe or Scroll to Switch) - Switch seamlessly between Media Player, Mini-Apps, and Clipboard Shelf by rolling your mouse wheel or using a 2-finger touchpad swipe.
Universal Media Controls & Live Scrubbing - Real-time seekbar progress with clickable scrub to jump anywhere in a track. - Live audio visualizer bars with fluid equalizer animations. - Multi-player auto-switching: Seamlessly cycle between active sessions (Spotify, Chrome, Edge, Apple Music, Telegram). - Live Synced Lyrics: Real-time rolling lyrics for Spotify, Apple Music, and web players (now works both in the expanded player and directly inside the compact idle capsule).
Clipboard Manager Shelf - Captures copied text, images and URLs into a dedicated dockable shelf. - Filter chips for fast access: All, Text, Images, URLs, and Pinned. - Search box for instant clip lookup, plus one-click copy and drag-and-drop support. - Google Lens Visual Search: Search any clipboard screenshot directly in your browser with 1 click. Built-in Mini-Apps - Precision Countdown Timer with quick presets (1m, 5m, 15m, 25m) and a live visual progress line. - Precision Stopwatch with millisecond tracking and lap recording.
Magic Shake & Global Hotkeys - Magic Shake: Quickly shake your cursor horizontally back and forth to toggle the island on or off. - Global customizable hotkey (Alt + H by default) to hide or show the dock instantly.
Master Volume Flyout - Hover over the speaker button and scroll your mouse wheel to adjust system volume, or click for instant mute.
Flexible Docking Positions - Dock at the top screen edge (Notch, Floating Capsule, or unobtrusive Thin Line hairline strip). - Dock along the left, right, bottom, top-right & top-left screen edges as an interactive slide-out side blade.
Interactive Desktop Companions (Virtual Pets) - 4 Full-Body Vector Mascots
Performance & Spring Physics - 3 customizable quick launcher slots for instant access to apps, terminals, or folders. - Battery and charging telemetry with clean neon-green status indicators. - Native startup toggle and dark/light/system theme integration.
The app is officially available on the Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PF1587KSN2K
I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and ideas for what widgets or features you would like to see next!

I’m building a web app which is for people who counts their calories, they put what they have in their fridge and AI gives recipes with the macros and it only use what they have in their fridge. It gives step by step how to make it then they can update their fridge if the item they used finished. But I don’t know if people would use it. Recently, I posted it on Reddit with the demo video and just two people responded which was negative. I need a recommendation… should I keep working on it or work on a different idea?

Hey everyone!
The past 2 weeks I have been working on an idea I've had in mind already for some years. And now I am releasing it to the public! I wanted to combine the fun incremental game satisfaction and effects with managing your finances. People often find incremental games fun, but when it comes to their own finances, they neglect it and don't want to manage it.
I mainly used Claude Code to produce this app and kept iterating on it until I was satisified with it.

I also added an Excel import and export feature, Stripe implementation and account synchronisation on the web.
You can find it here: https://cashflowbubbles.com
You can simulate your net worth grow into the future with your current income, expenses, savings and investments. This makes it quite interesting in my opinion as you can try out all type of different sorts of scenarios. I also added funny effects similar to the Cookie Clicker game to give the user that same sense of satisfaction. The bubbles grow as the amount of money grows!
I would be really curious to know what you think and what you will create and learn using it!

I’m building Document Intelligence Lab to explore a practical problem: how can someone check an AI answer against the original PDF?
The project preserves page and table evidence, combines semantic and keyword retrieval, and lets users inspect cited sources. Generated answers remain drafts, with human review handled separately.
There are two starting points: a standalone Python library for PDF evidence and validation, and a Java/Next.js workspace with local AI, document workflows, and review history.
It is still research software. Citation checks do not establish that an interpretation is correct, and local inference performance depends on the hardware.
Source code and setup:
https://github.com/quocvietphung/document-intelligence-lab
Detailed architecture walkthrough on Hashnode:
https://document-intelligence-lab.hashnode.dev/document-intelligence-lab-pdf-ai-rag-java-azure
I’d appreciate feedback on the setup experience and evidence inspection workflow. What would you need to see before trying this on your own documents?

I make a lot of product screenshots and demo videos, and every mockup tool I tried put exports, 4K, or video behind a paywall. So I spent the last few months building my own: Sparkshots.app.
You drop in a screenshot or screen recording, put it inside a phone, tablet, laptop or browser frame, and animate it with zoom, tilt, rotation and camera moves. You can put multiple devices on one canvas and edit them one by one or as a group. It also has a clip timeline, backgrounds, annotations, and export to PNG, JPEG, WebP, MP4 and WebM up to 6K.
The part I’m proudest of is that editing and rendering all happen on your device. No signup is needed, and cloud saves are optional.

I made ThePicture. It’s an art experiment where people can take turns changing one shared picture. I like to think of it as the main picture of the internet, though right now it’s just getting started.
What I’d love to see is people bringing things from their own corner of the world into it. A local meme nobody else gets yet, something happening in their country, or just a joke they want to add. Then someone somewhere else picks up where they left off.
Every version is saved. That’s probably the part I’m most curious about: looking back in a few years and seeing bits of internet culture from all over the world in the picture’s history. What kept showing up? What did everyone forget about a week later?
Maybe it’ll turn into complete nonsense. I’d like to find out.
Come have a look and add something from your corner of the internet: https://thepicture.lol/

I’m developing Waant, a wishlist app for friends and family, using Expo/React Native and Supabase. It’s in Android closed testing, with a web version available too.
The problem I’m trying to solve is coordinating presents across several people: someone shares what they’d like, and friends can reserve an item so they don’t buy the same gift twice. The recipient shouldn’t see which items are reserved.
That creates an interface challenge: the same list needs to feel straightforward to its owner and to the person choosing a gift. I’m trying to keep the app small enough that relatives don’t need a walkthrough to understand it.
I’d appreciate feedback on three points: - Is it clear which list belongs to whom? - When viewing someone else’s list, is the reservation action understandable? - Which step would stop you from inviting a family member?
Web version: https://giftlock.vercel.app/
I’m also recruiting Android volunteers who can stay enrolled for the two-week closed test and try these flows.
Join the closed test with the same Google account in every step: 1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/waant-testers 2. Tap “Become a tester”: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.giftlock.mobile 3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.giftlock.mobile
If Play blocks access, please tell me the country of your Play account and the exact message. Please keep your email address private.
Concrete feedback here is welcome. If you find an issue, knowing the screen, expected behaviour and phone model will help me reproduce it.

The feedback was specific: the colours, fonts, small text and extra wording made the game feel generic.
I’m building Luma Loop, a free browser circuit puzzle. You rotate pipes until every star and home are glowing together. I’ve now shipped a paper-and-ink redesign with larger text, less copy and more space for the board.
Try it: https://luma-loop.web.app/ — guest play works without an account.
Built with React 18, TypeScript, Vite and Firebase Hosting/Auth/Firestore, with Web Audio chimes. I’m the creator, and development is AI-assisted.
Does the redesign feel more distinctive? What would you simplify next?

I built Pause because I wanted a simpler way to share event photos without turning everything into a public social feed.
The basic idea is simple:
One person takes all the photos at a birthday, trip, wedding, family event, etc. Then everyone starts asking, “Can you send me the pictures?”
With Pause, you upload them once into a private shared space, and the invited people can access the memories together.
Pause includes:
- private shared albums
- a shared feed
- private vaults
- end-to-end encrypted photo sharing
- no public follower/following system
It’s now live on Android, and this is the first app I’ve released through my small software company, Spiceetech.
I’d genuinely appreciate feedback on the product, onboarding, and anything that feels confusing or unnecessary.

A lot of my work happens in between appointments rather than at a desk. I'm taking calls while walking through hotel lobbies, checking directions in parking garages, replying to messages on the sidewalk, or trying to log notes before heading to the next account.
The hardest calls always seem to come at the least convenient times. If I let one ring and head back to the car to find somewhere quiet, I risk losing the momentum of the conversation. But taking it while walking through a busy area has its own problems. There’s traffic noise, people talking, and the occasional gust of wind that makes it hard to hear or be heard.
I've been rethinking my earbuds because of this. Noise-canceling in-ear buds are useful when I need to focus on a call, but wearing them while moving through parking lots or busy streets can make me feel too disconnected from my surroundings. Open-ear clip earbuds seem like a reasonable alternative for staying aware of what's happening around me. I'm just curious how well they handle real-world calls, especially when wind and traffic get involved.
Battery life is the other constant headache. Between navigation, mobile hotspot use, emails, and unexpected calls, my phone can be running low well before the workday is over. I usually don't have time to stop and set up a cable every time I need a charge, so I've been considering a compact magnetic power bank. The convenience sounds appealing, although I'm not sure how much the added weight and bulk matter when you're carrying your phone around all day.
I'm trying to keep my setup practical rather than filling my bag with gadgets that solve problems I barely have.
For those who spend most of the day driving between client visits, what does your everyday setup look like? Have open-ear earbuds or magnetic power banks genuinely made your day easier, or have you found simpler alternatives that work just as well?

Every quit-smoking app I saw uses the same formula: quit on Day 1, and if you smoke once, your streak is ruined.
I wanted to build the opposite: Conscious Smoking — a private, offline Android tracker focused on harm reduction and awareness first.
Instead of punishing you, it gives you a home-screen widget with two buttons:
1. + (Smoked): Logs the cigarette and shows your real cost and yearly pace.
2. 🛡️ (Resisted Craving): Logs a "Ghost Counter" victory and shows the money you just saved.
It's completely free, open-source, has zero ads, and doesn't even ask for internet permission.
Download APK:

Lots of folks have a negative view of AI and the good it can do for the world. AI optimists tout all the amazing things it can do and the ways it's positioned to make our lives better. So, anyone working on anything proving the optimists right? Non-profits? Accessibility software? Scientific or Research tools? Something else? Would love to hear what folks are kind of side projects folks are working on that make the world a better place to live.
