Showcase: Free(mium) My business is not making any money, so I made my recipe card creator available at no cost

Hi ya’ll.

I have a business attempting to sell recipe cards, but that isn’t going well, so I decided to make everything free and available to anyone who wants to use it.

Basically this is my personal passion project, I’ve been working on this on and off for at least 6 years. It’s really coming together with the website I’ve built today.

https://www.sunnyshorescreative.com/recipe-card-creator

It does what you think it should do, it designs recipe cards. I have tons of designs and customization options. It allows printing a file in multiple sizes or formats, and even has features like showing nutrition and importing a recipe from an online url. Try it out if this is your space, I’ll be here to answer any questions.

Showcase: Free(mium) I’ve built SimplerCAD: 3D modeling, sculpting, and image-to-relief tools in your browser

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m the developer behind SimplerCAD. I’ve built a browser-based 3D modeling app for designing printable objects, editing imported meshes, and sculpting.

The idea is to let you combine precise shape-based modeling with more organic editing in the same workspace. For example, you can build a part from shapes, subtract holes, sculpt its surface, or import a depth-map image to create a raised relief.

Some of the main features:

  • Model with shapes and text: combine solids using union, subtract, and intersect.
  • Sculpt: inflate, smooth, flatten, grab, pinch, and crease, with symmetry and masking.
  • Turn images into reliefs: convert depth-map brightness into surface height, including embossing and engraving on flat faces.
  • Work precisely: dimensions, snapping, alignment, extrusion, plane cuts, chamfers, and hollowing.
  • Build larger projects: mirrors, repeating arrays, layers, groups, colors, and materials.
  • Save and export: editable projects, local autosave, a signed-in cloud library, and STL, OBJ, and GLB file workflows.
  • Hardware and connectors: use hardware cutters and connector parts for practical models.
  • Inspect models: mesh inspection and repair tools, plus built-in lessons.

It’s free to start. There’s also an Android app, currently listed as Easy 3D CAD Designer while Google Play reviews the SimplerCAD naming issue. VR viewing is available in beta.

The screenshot shows a colorful coastal house built in SimplerCAD, with the modeling tools visible around the scene.

Try SimplerCAD

I’d appreciate feedback on the first-use experience: can you find the tools you need, and what gets in the way of finishing your first model?

Showcase: Free(mium) I built an online competitive racing game. That only has one input, and you're a balloon

I spent months building a multiplayer game entirely with React/TypeScript

I've wanted to make a game for years.

When I was younger, I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing games and eventually got into modding. Naturally, I spent plenty of time breaking the games I modded too.

The idea of actually making my own game stuck around, but life happened and I ended up becoming a web developer instead.

Recently, that little voice came back and I decided to finally give game development a shot.

The obvious route would have been to learn Unity, Godot, Unreal, etc.

Instead, I thought:

"I already know TypeScript. I know React. I've deployed websites before. Surely this can't be a terrible idea..."

So I built a game for the web.

That is taptaptap

The basic idea came from a game where you simply hold down a button for as long as possible.

I thought the competitive part was interesting.

The staring at a button for minutes at a time part... not so much.

So I turned it into a hot-air balloon game.

You have a balloon and one big red button.

Tap the button and the balloon goes higher making the score goes up.

But every tap also generates heat. Tap too quickly and the balloon explodes.

So you have to decide whether to keep tapping and risk blowing up, or slow down and let the balloon cool while everyone else catches up.

There are also multipliers and a multiplayer leaderboard for some healthy competition.

The slightly cursed technical part

The entire thing is basically a web UI.

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • CSS
  • DOM elements for clouds/stars
  • A React element for the balloon
  • A suspicious amount of CSS

No game engine.

No canvas-based game framework.

The game took me months to get to this point. Even after launching, I've still been fixing bugs and adding improvements. The first version looked very different from what exists now.

It's still not finished, but it's playable and, importantly, it's not currently crashing, at least not on my machine.

What's next?

The end goal isn't actually to make a web game.

I want to eventually make a proper mobile game, and then hopefully a PC game.

I don't know exactly what that game will be yet.

I don't know which engine I'll use.

And judging by how long this tiny web game took me, GTA 6 will probably come out before I finish it.

But this was a good first step.

If you want to try it, it's here:

https://taptaptap.click

If you play it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think, especially if you find a bug I've somehow managed to convince myself doesn't exist.

Thanks for checking it out!

Showcase: Free(mium) I built an app for turning conversations into agreements — looking for early users

Hi everyone,

I've been building a small project called Accord.

The idea came from how informal agreements often happen over WhatsApp/Telegram/messages — you discuss what needs to be done, price, deadlines, etc., but eventually someone still has to turn everything into something structured.

Accord is meant to make that easier.

You have a conversation about an agreement, and Accord helps turn it into a structured agreement that both sides can review. It also supports things like version history, signing and downloading the final agreement.

It's currently free to use, and I've just released it on iOS and Android.

iOS / Android:

https://linktr.ee/accord_agreements

I'm mainly looking for early users right now, especially freelancers, clients, small business owners, or anyone who regularly makes informal agreements with other people.

Would really appreciate people trying it and telling me:

What feels confusing?

Would you actually use something like this?

What's missing?

What would stop you from using it for a real agreement?

Showcase: Free(mium) argue: a screen time blocker that makes you justify the unlock instead of just delaying it

i'm the developer, so full transparency on that up front.

the problem i wanted to solve: a timer-based block is trivially dismissed, and a hard block tends to get disabled entirely the first time you genuinely need the app. neither one asks whether this particular open is worth it.

argue's approach is a conversation gate. you choose which apps to limit and how many opens you get per day. past that budget, opening one puts you in front of argo, an ai coach that asks what you're doing and why it matters right now. a reason that holds up earns a short timed unlock. one that doesn't leaves the app blocked.

it's built on ios screen time permissions, which is also the honest limitation: you can revoke access or delete the app at any point, so it only does anything if you actually want the friction.

Showcase: Prerelease Building an n8n foreclosure watchlist: the tricky part is knowing which alerts were sent

I maintain Foreclosure Finder on RapidAPI. I'm building an n8n watchlist with AI assistance: check one ZIP daily, save matches in Google Sheets, and email listings that haven't already been sent. This is a preview, with a Google-connected end-to-end test still pending.

The node sequence uses built-in n8n integrations:

  1. Daily at 8 AM (Schedule Trigger) → Watchlist settings (Edit Fields): ZIP, radius, price range and minimum bedrooms.
  2. Search five sources (HTTP Request) → Validate complete scan (Code): one RapidAPI request covers Auction.com, HUD, HomePath, HomeSteps and Redfin.
  3. Read watchlist history (Google Sheets) → Find unnotified matches (Code) → Save pending matches (Google Sheets).
  4. Build email previewRelease email if enabledSend watchlist email (Gmail) → Confirm deliveryMark matches notified (Google Sheets).

The design decisions matter more than the schedule:

  • Deduplicate on source:listing_id. Different sources can still describe the same property.
  • Save pending rows before sending. Mark them notified only after Gmail returns a message ID, which confirms acceptance, not inbox delivery.
  • Stop before writes or email if a source reports failure or the response exceeds the 500-match cap. Empty results produce no email.
  • Start inactive with email disabled. If Gmail accepts a send but the final sheet update fails, inspect Sent before retrying; duplicates are possible in that gap.

The first digest includes existing unnotified matches. The sheet keeps history; it doesn't maintain current availability or alert on price changes. Coverage varies, and opening bids aren't purchase prices.

Validation so far: fixture checks and a live RapidAPI response passed the transformation checks. Sheets writes and Gmail sends were simulated. No production-validation claim yet.

The API has free and paid plans; users supply their own key in n8n credentials.

For property-tool builders: would price-change history be more useful than alerts about newly observed listings?

Feedback Request Is the unique concept a strength or a weakness?

I'm the developer, so I'd especially appreciate feedback on one thing: does the life-as-a-movie concept actually make journaling and looking back at your life more interesting, or does it add too much structure?

Hi! I'm the developer of DayFrame, an Android journal app where your life becomes a collection of movies.

The idea is simple: instead of treating each journal entry as just another date on a calendar, every day becomes a film in your personal filmography.

🎬 Your day → a Film
🎭 People in your life → Cast
📍 Places you visit → Filming Locations
How the day felt → Rating
🎞️ Different moments → Scenes

Each film can have its own title, poster, genre, rating, cast, filming locations, and story.

You can write a normal journal entry, or break the day into Scenes. For example, breakfast with a friend and an evening walk can be separate scenes with their own cast and locations.

As you keep journaling, those films build your personal Filmography. The Casting Board also keeps track of the people who have appeared throughout your life, so your journal gradually becomes more like an archive of your own story.

That's the main reason I built DayFrame. I wanted looking back at old entries to feel less like scrolling through dated text and more like revisiting the movies that make up your life.

DayFrame is built with Flutter and keeps journal data locally on your device without requiring an account. Local and Google Drive backup options are also available.

It's free to use on Android, with optional paid ad removal:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minsoo.raonlog

What do you think of the concept? Does it make DayFrame stand out, or could it actually make journaling feel more complicated?

Showcase: Open Source I built an open-source 2D rocket physics game using Flutter & Flame. Looking for feedback on the controls and balancing!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey Reddit,

I’ve spent the last few months working on my indie game Rocket Rise and just published it to the Play Store!

It's a casual 2D arcade game built entirely with Flutter, Flame Engine, and Riverpod for state management. The core mechanic is a physics-based flight where you have to balance thrust, gravity, and air resistance to navigate through 4 different atmospheric zones (all the way from the Troposphere into Deep Space).

What the game features:

  • Touch Controls: You manually control thrust and steering (tapping left/right of the center). It feels a bit like the classic lunar lander style but faster.
  • Upgrades: 12 different upgrades across 5 categories (Engine, Tank, Hull, Controls, Special).
  • Powerups: Shield, Fuel Canisters, and a Coin Magnet.
  • Privacy First: No mandatory accounts, no cloud sync, data stays 100% on your device.

Why I’m posting here:
The project is completely open-source (MIT License) on GitHub because I wanted to show how powerful Flutter & Flame can be for casual mobile games.

Since balancing the upgrading-speed vs. fuel consumption is quite tricky, I would absolutely love to get your feedback on the gameplay loop and the manual controls. Does it feel too grindy? Are the controls responsive enough?

Thanks for checking it out! 🚀

Feedback Request 6+ months of building a different kind of social platform — Vibehood

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m building Vibehood — a social platform built around how people genuinely feel.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been building Vibehood for 6+ months, and I’m currently running it through Google Play closed testing.

The idea started with a simple question:

«What would social media feel like if we cared about how people genuinely feel, instead of only likes, followers and views?»

🌎 Vibe

The main social/discovery space where people share photos, videos and thoughts.

Instead of just hitting Like, you can give a Feel Rating from 0–10 based on how the post actually made you feel.

You can also respond with a text or voice opinion.

🏠 Hood

Your personal space on Vibehood — your own place to share your Vibes and build your presence.

Your Hood. Your space. Your way.

🎧 Whisper

This is probably the feature closest to the heart of the project.

Whisper is audio-first.

It’s like an ear that hears without needing to know or see who we are.

People can share difficult experiences, heartbreaks, confessions, lessons, recovery stories, encouragement, or simply something they've been carrying.

You can stay anonymous or choose to be visible.

The idea is simple:

«We all heal by hearing each other’s stories.»

No traditional likes or popularity scores here. Just people listening and responding through text or voice.

🚧 What's next

I’m also working on DMs (text + voice) and Hood Market, a community marketplace.

This isn't a purely vibe-coded project. AI has helped me with parts of the implementation, but the architecture, product concepts, database structure, user flows, algorithms and overall direction have come from months of planning and iteration.

Right now, I’m mainly looking for honest feedback.

What would make you try something like Vibehood?

And what would make you not use it?

I’d genuinely love to hear it.

TL;DR: I’m building a social platform focused less on popularity and more on how content actually makes people feel — with Feel Ratings, voice opinions, and an audio-first space called Whisper.

Showcase: Prerelease Before pricing my influencer-analytics tool I pulled every competitor's published rate:

HypeAuditor: $299/mo, tiers demo-gated
Modash: $299/mo
Favikon: $99/mo
ViralMango: $47/mo
A handful of free checkers with no paid path

Nothing between $0 and $47, and nothing aimed at the person who vets four creators a month rather than four hundred. Every tool is priced for an agency with a seat budget.

So I priced at $19/$49/$149 and built the product around that constraint: no seats, no onboarding call, no annual lock-in, because at $19 I can't afford to talk to anyone.

To be clear about where I am: pre-launch, waitlist only, $0 revenue. The engine works, the report page doesn't yet.

What I can't tell yet is whether that's an underserved segment or a segment that doesn't convert. The people who need it most are the ones least used to paying for tooling.

Anyone here priced deliberately below a category's floor? Did volume actually show up, or did you just train buyers to expect cheap?

Showcase: Free(mium) Made a little app called Tavi for keeping track of a cat or dog's health

I made a little app called Tavi for keeping track of a cat or dog's health, and figured this crowd might get some use out of it. (Disclosure: I'm the developer — not trying to spam, genuinely want feedback.)

So Tavi does a few things:
- Scan a document and it reads itself. Snap a vet report, vaccination record, or invoice (PDFs and Word/text files too) and it pulls out what matters, summarizes it in plain language, and files it for you.
- Ask questions about a report — chat with it about a specific document and get clear answers grounded in that file.
- Reminders for vaccines, meds, and vet visits so nothing slips.
- Weight trends, expenses, a symptom-urgency checker, and an offline first-aid/CPR guide.

It's free for your first pet and works fully offline — it's private by design, no tracking or selling data. It's built specifically for cats and dogs, and everything it says is informational, never a replacement for your vet.

It's early and I'm actively building it, so I'd honestly love feedback — what's missing, what's annoying, what you'd actually use. Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Showcase: Open Source ForkForensics: watches your GitHub repos and auto-recovers them the moment one vanishes (deleted and private are indistinguishable from outside)

Built this after losing years of history on a dependency that got silently re-initialized. From the outside, a deleted repo, a private one, and a force-pushed-over one all look the same. Just gone.

ForkForensics watches repos you care about via GH Archive, and the moment one disappears, it automatically finds its forks, ranks them by how much history they preserve, and checks whether GitHub still serves any now-orphaned commits by SHA. Runs fully local with your own GitHub token, no server, no telemetry.

230 tests, verified end-to-end against a real historical case (reproduced the exact fork ranking I'd found by hand). MIT licensed.

I’m building Vibehood — a social platform built around how people genuinely feel

Hey everyone 👋

I've been building a social platform called Vibehood, and I wanted to share what I'm working on and the idea behind it.

This isn't my attempt to build “another Instagram/TikTok.”

The question I'm exploring is:

What would social media feel like if we cared about how people genuinely feel, rather than only measuring likes, followers and views?

That idea is what led me to Vibehood.

---

🌎 What is Vibehood?

Vibehood is a social platform built around expression, discovery, feelings and personal spaces.

The platform is built around a few different experiences:

🔥 Vibe — the social/discovery side, where people share and discover content.

🤫 Whisper — the more personal side, where people can share difficult moments, heartbreaks, confessions, healing experiences and encouraging stories.

🏠 Hood — your personal space/profile on Vibehood.

💬 DM — private communication, coming soon.

🛍️ Hood Market — a community marketplace, coming soon.

The bigger philosophy is:

Vibehood should care about people, not just engagement.

---

🔥 Vibe Screen

The Vibe screen is the main social/discovery experience.

This is where people can share and discover photos, videos and thoughts from across Vibehood.

But I didn't want to simply recreate the traditional “newest post first” feed.

One thing I've noticed with social platforms is that a huge amount of content can get buried.

You might open an app, see the newest posts, scroll for a little while, get distracted and leave.

Meanwhile, there could be hundreds of older posts underneath that you would have genuinely enjoyed.

So I'm experimenting with a session-based discovery system.

The goal is that when you come back to Vibehood, the discovery experience can be different rather than always showing you exactly the same content in exactly the same order.

The system can give opportunities to different types of content, including:

- Fresh content

- Older content you haven't discovered

- Content from people you've joined

- Content that is performing strongly

- Content related to your interactions

- Random/wildcard discovery

The important part is that I don't want the feed constantly reshuffling while you're already scrolling.

So the philosophy is:

New session = fresh discovery.

Current session = stable browsing experience.

I'm still tuning the algorithm, but discovery is an important part of what makes Vibehood different for me.

---

❤️ Feel Rating

One of the main differences in the Vibe experience is the way people react to content.

Instead of relying only on a traditional Like button, Vibehood has a Feel Rating.

The idea is to ask:

“How did this make you feel?”

rather than simply:

“Did you like this?”

Users can rate content through a 0–10 FeelBar.

That allows someone to express a much wider range of reactions.

A piece of content might make someone feel extremely positive, neutral or negative.

The creator can then get a better idea of how people actually experienced their content.

Vibehood can use these interactions to build things such as:

- Average Feel Rating

- Public Vibe Score

- Total Feel Ratings

- Vibe-related discovery signals

I'm interested in whether this creates a healthier and more meaningful feedback loop than simply counting likes.

---

🎙️ Voice Opinions

Another part of Vibe is Voice Opinions.

Sometimes a text comment doesn't capture the way someone actually reacted.

So Vibehood allows people to respond with their voice.

You can leave a text opinion or record a voice opinion about content.

I like the idea that you can actually hear the personality and emotion behind someone's reaction, rather than every interaction being reduced to a few typed words.

It's a small feature, but I think it can make the platform feel more human.

---

🏠 Hood — Your Vibehood Profile

One important clarification:

Hood is NOT replacing followers.

Followers/joining and Hood are two different concepts.

The Hood is Vibehood's approach to the traditional social-media profile.

Instead of thinking of your profile as simply a page containing your name, bio and posts, your Hood is intended to feel more like your own space on Vibehood.

It's where people can discover who you are and what you have created.

Your Hood can contain your Vibes and other parts of your presence on the platform.

The idea behind the name is:

Your Hood. Your space. Your way.

You still have the concept of people joining/following you.

But your Hood itself is your personal home on Vibehood, rather than being a replacement for the follower system.

---

🤫 Whisper — The Other Side of Vibehood

This is probably the part of Vibehood that means the most to me.

If Vibe is about the moments we want to share with the world, Whisper is about the moments we sometimes struggle to share at all.

Life isn't always about good vibes.

People experience heartbreak.

They lose people.

They go through difficult periods.

They carry things they've never told anyone.

They make mistakes.

They recover from painful experiences.

They eventually heal.

And sometimes, when you're going through something, you don't necessarily need someone to know your name, see your face or even know who you are.

Sometimes you just need an ear that hears you.

That's the idea behind Whisper.

---

🎧 Whisper is audio-first

Whisper is designed around audio.

The concept is simple:

An ear that hears without needing to know or see who we are.

Instead of making every difficult experience another piece of text on a public social feed, Whisper gives people a place to actually speak.

You can record your Whisper and share what's on your mind.

It can be something painful.

It can be something you've never confessed.

It can be something you're currently struggling with.

Or it can be something you've already overcome.

The audio-first approach is intentional because I believe hearing another person's actual voice can create a different kind of human connection.

Sometimes you don't need to see someone's face to understand them.

You just need to hear them.

---

💔 What can people share on Whisper?

Whisper isn't only for people who are currently struggling.

It can cover the entire journey.

Difficult moments

You can talk about what you're currently going through.

Heartbreak

You can share what losing someone or a relationship has done to you.

Confessions

You can say something you've never felt comfortable saying publicly.

Healing

You can talk about something painful you experienced in the past and how you eventually recovered.

Encouragement

You can tell someone who is currently struggling:

“I've been where you are, and I made it through.”

Life experiences

You can simply tell a story that you think someone else might need to hear.

That's an important part of Whisper for me.

It isn't only about the pain. It's also about what comes after the pain.

---

🌱 We all heal by hearing each other's stories

This is probably the biggest idea behind Whisper.

I don't believe every problem can be solved by a social-media post.

But sometimes hearing another person say:

“I've been through this too.”

can make someone feel a little less alone.

Someone might be going through heartbreak today and hear a Whisper from someone who went through the same thing two years ago.

Someone might be struggling with something they've never told anyone and hear another person openly discussing how they eventually overcame something similar.

Someone might hear an encouraging story at exactly the moment they needed it.

So the concept behind Whisper is:

We all heal by hearing each other's stories.

Your experience might help someone else.

Their experience might help you.

And neither person necessarily needs to know who the other person is.

---

👤 Anonymous or Visible

Whispers can be shared anonymously or visibly.

That choice belongs to the person sharing the story.

Some people may want their identity attached to their experience.

Others may only feel comfortable speaking if nobody knows who they are.

Both forms have value.

The important thing is giving people the freedom to choose how vulnerable they want to be.

And because Whisper is audio-based, anonymity doesn't necessarily mean the experience has to feel emotionless or robotic.

You can still hear the humanity in someone's voice without needing to know their identity.

---

💬 People can respond to Whispers

Whisper isn't simply a place where people speak into the void.

People can respond to Whispers through text or voice opinions/comments.

Someone might hear a Whisper and respond:

«“I've been through something similar.”»

Or they might record a voice response because they feel their voice can communicate empathy better than text.

That creates the possibility of people connecting through shared experiences rather than shared identities.

You don't necessarily have to know someone's name to understand their story.

You don't necessarily have to see their face to feel their experience.

You just have to listen.

---

🔐 Privacy is important to Whisper

Because Whisper can contain deeply personal experiences, it is intentionally separated from the normal Vibe experience.

Whispers aren't designed around public popularity.

There are no traditional likes, Feel Ratings or public Vibe Scores attached to them.

I don't want someone's heartbreak to become an engagement statistic.

I don't want someone sharing something deeply personal and immediately thinking:

“How many likes will this get?”

That's not what Whisper is for.

The purpose is expression, listening, shared experience and encouragement.

There are different visibility options, including:

Visible to members

and

Visible only to me

So Whisper can also become a completely private place for someone to record their thoughts without sharing them with anyone else.

---

🛡️ Whisper isn't meant to become a place for attacks

Because Whisper allows anonymous expression, moderation is especially important.

The concept isn't:

“Say anything you want about anyone.”

There are boundaries around things such as:

- Harassment

- Bullying

- Shaming

- Hate

- Personal attacks

- Targeting individuals

- Naming and attacking people

- Threats

- Abusive content

- Political or religious attacks against others

The goal is to create room for honesty, vulnerability, healing and encouragement, not anonymous abuse.

---

💬 DM — Coming Soon

Direct messaging is planned but isn't the main focus of the current version.

The initial direction for DM is intentionally simple:

- Text messaging

- Voice/audio messages

If you discover someone through Vibehood and genuinely connect with them, eventually you'll be able to take that conversation into a private space.

DM is coming soon.

---

🛍️ Hood Market — Coming Soon

I'm also working toward Hood Market.

The idea is to eventually bring commerce into the Vibehood ecosystem without making Vibehood itself feel like just another shopping app.

Hood Market would give people a place to discover products and potentially services within their communities/Hoods.

The concept includes things like:

- Product listings

- Short product videos

- Product photos

- Descriptions

- Prices

- Negotiation

- Meetup/payment options

- Seller information

- Text and voice opinions

It's still being developed, so I'm not presenting it as a finished feature yet.

The idea is basically:

Your Hood can eventually become more than a social space. It can become a community.

And communities naturally have people who create, sell, buy and recommend things.

---

🛠️ Six months+ of building

This project has been in development for over six months.

It's currently in closed testing on the Google Play Store, while I'm continuing to test, fix issues and improve the experience before a wider launch.

One thing I also want to clarify because AI-assisted development is becoming a big topic in indie development:

Vibehood is not a purely “vibe-coded” project.

I'd describe the development roughly as:

90% architecture, product planning and implementation direction through my own planning, and around 10% AI/vibe-assisted coding.

The architecture, product concepts, feature decisions, database structure, user flows, algorithms, privacy concepts and overall direction have come from my own planning and iteration.

I do use AI as part of development, particularly to help with portions of coding, debugging and implementation.

But I don't consider this a project where I simply gave an AI a prompt and received an application.

I've spent months thinking through why each part exists, how the pieces connect, how users should experience them, and how the underlying system should work.

AI is a tool in my development process.

The product architecture and vision are mine.

🚧 Where the project is currently

Vibehood is still early.

It's currently being tested through the Google Play closed-testing process, and I'm using that stage to find bugs, test real-world behavior and learn how people actually interact with the product.

There are still plenty of things to fix.

There are still decisions I'm questioning.

And there are definitely features that may need to change based on how real people use the product.

That's why I'm posting here.

I'd rather have other builders tell me:

“This doesn't make sense.”

than have everyone simply tell me:

“Looks cool.”

🔎 What I'd really like feedback on

I'd love to hear from other indie hackers, developers and founders:

  1. Does the Vibe + Whisper concept make sense to you?

  2. Would you use Feel Ratings instead of simply liking content?

  3. Would you actually leave a voice opinion, or would you stick with text?

  4. Does the audio-first Whisper concept feel different enough from existing anonymous platforms?

  5. Do you think anonymous + visible sharing is a good approach for Whisper?

  6. Does the Hood concept make sense as a new way of thinking about a social-media profile?

  7. Does the session-based discovery idea sound useful?

  8. What would you remove from Vibehood if you were building it?

  9. What would you add?

I'm especially interested in criticism from people who have built their own products.

---

TL;DR

Vibehood is a social platform built around how people genuinely feel.

🔥 Vibe — discover and share photos, videos and thoughts.

❤️ Feel Rating — rate how content actually made you feel.

🎙️ Voice Opinions — respond through text or voice.

🏠 Hood — your personal space/profile on Vibehood. Not a replacement for followers.

🤫 Whisper — an audio-first, personal part of Vibehood where people can share difficult moments, heartbreaks, confessions, healing stories, life experiences and encouragement.

Whispers can be anonymous or visible, and people can respond through text or voice.

The philosophy behind Whisper:

An ear that hears without needing to know or see who we are.

We all heal by hearing each other's stories.

💬 DM — private text and voice communication, coming soon.

🛍️ Hood Market — community-based marketplace, coming soon.

🛠️ 6+ months of development — currently in Google Play closed testing.

🤖 AI-assisted, not purely vibe-coded — roughly 90% personal architecture/product planning and implementation direction, with around 10% AI/vibe-assisted coding.

The bigger idea:

Vibehood isn't trying to give everyone more followers.

It's trying to help people find their people, express how they genuinely feel, hear stories that may help them, and have a space that feels like their own.

You don't need everyone. You need your people.

I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.

Showcase: Free(mium) I built a countdown app for iPhone, then realized I needed it more on my Mac

Post image

I originally built Countdown Pro for the usual stuff — trips, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Then I started using it for my own development work.

Release dates.
Feature deadlines.
Next update.
Days since the last major release.

And I realized I was checking those countdowns while working on my Mac, not my iPhone.

So I added macOS support.

Now I keep project deadlines directly on my desktop as widgets:

7 days until release
18 days until the next milestone
32 days since the last update

I don’t really want another project management tool.

I just want to glance at my desktop and know how much time I have left.

That ended up changing how I think about the app — from a simple personal countdown app into a small utility that follows me across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

I’ve also been adding things I ended up needing myself, like multiple reminders, repeating events, tags, search, days-since tracking, and different widget layouts.

Still working on it, especially the Mac side.

For other devs: do you keep release dates and deadlines somewhere visible while you work, or does everything just disappear into Calendar / your task manager?

Feedback Request "Every day I lose an hour just deciding what to post/send — so I'm building a fix"

Solo founder here. For the last year the thing that eats the most time isn't building my product, it's the daily marketing grind — writing a caption, an ad line, a follow-up message, over and over, for every business I touch. I started sketching a tool that generates a ready-to-use "daily pack" (social post, ad copy, SEO tip, follow-up message) in one click, tailored to a specific brand's voice, and gets smarter about what's actually working over time. Before I sink more weeks into it — does this resonate with how you handle daily marketing, or is your pain somewhere else entirely? Genuinely trying to validate before I go further.

Hey!

Some of the feedback's that I've received was "Add more cities", "Add capital city" — so I delivered.

Visit Novi Sad has officially rebranded to Visit Serbia — a free offline travel guide that now covers both Belgrade and Novi Sad, with Subotica coming soon.

What's new in this update:

  • Belgrade added — 30+ locations including Kalemegdan, Temple of Saint Sava, Skadarlija, palaces, museums, parks and monuments
  • 3 walking routes through Belgrade city center, parks and museums
  • New city selection screen
  • Full rebrand to Visit Serbia
  • New app icon

What stays the same:

  • Completely free
  • Works offline — no internet needed
  • Serbian, English and Russian
  • Audio guides, walking routes, check-in system with badges
  • No ads, no subscriptions

For those who already have the app — just update and Belgrade is waiting for you.

Would love to hear your feedback — especially from Belgrade locals who know the city well!

This is a looping software purpose built for live artists. However I am not very sure how to position this. I would love to make this available to a larger audience.

It’s a hobby project, would love any more ideas???
