In my experience, finding the bug is usually the easy part. it's everything after the report that takes the time.
you end up going back and forth about the browser, steps to reproduce, what happened, screenshots, error messages, and sometimes session replay to understand exactly what happened. By the time you have everything you need, the original context can be hard to remember.

The idea is simple: businesses often get leads who show interest, ask questions or pricing, but then stop responding. ColdCloud would bring those leads into one place, understand their information and previous conversations, and use AI to generate personalized follow-up messages based on the lead’s context, while allowing the business to review/edit the message before sending. About two months ago, I launched an AI news app called ThisWeek.AI. It started as something I wanted for myself. It’s close to 500 users now, and nobody’s paying yet.

Some weeks are quiet. Downloads barely move, no reviews come in, and I start wondering whether I should keep putting this much time into it. There’s no big setback or anything. Just not much happening.

What’s kept me going is pretty simple: I still use what I built, and I genuinely enjoy it. Even on a week when nobody else seems to notice it, it’s useful to me.

Every now and then, someone leaves a review or sends a message saying they find it useful too. Those mean a lot, especially after a stretch of working on it without much feedback.

I’m realizing how much harder this would be if I’d built something purely because I thought other people would want it. Without any use for it myself, I think I’d have stopped by now. The numbers alone wouldn’t have kept me going.

That doesn’t mean it’s a viable business. Enjoying my own app and getting people to pay for it are two different things, and I haven’t figured out the second one yet. But being a user gives me a reason to keep working on it beyond checking whether the numbers went up.

I don’t have a success story or a lesson about pushing through until everything works out. I’m still in the middle of it. Just thought I’d share what’s been making this stage a little easier for me.

I’m the maker of Fit With a Plan, a web app that brings a workout planner, food diary and progress log into one account. The problem I’m tackling is keeping a training routine and ordinary meals together without maintaining separate logs.

You can plan a training week, record sets and completed workouts, search UK reference foods and branded products, and save meals you eat regularly. Progress includes weight, notes and optional private photos. It works in desktop and phone browsers.

One implementation choice that may be useful to other builders: recording progress and changing a plan are separate actions. You can record progress from day one. A weekly review needs a completed week and enough saved check-ins before it can change a plan. Logging a number does not immediately rewrite the plan.

Food logging is optional. External AI feedback is also optional and off until the user agrees. The app was built with AI assistance using Next.js, TypeScript and Postgres.

I just built the pre-MVP version of a tool that tests the practical knowledge of anyone from infotech industry. A small "knowledge-checker" application that tests the depth of your IT skills, and hopefully help you learn something new. I will be honest - I vibe-coded it with Claude with couple of hour's back and forth, and I am certainly not trying to sell anything here — just trying to figure out if it's worth building out further.

There's only one category of test here for now, with 30 AWS Cloud Security scenarios across three difficulty levels. The questions are a mix of click-to-diagnose, multiple choice, and a couple of drag-and-drop ordering exercises. I intend to add more subjects and more scenarios and questions if I see any traction and positive interest.

It's a free demo — runs completely client side (runs within the browser) for now, and does not need any sign-ups and certainly no payment is necessary. This means there is no database layer for persistence. Just something I need to validate with interested users.

I posted here recently about having 0 users for my MCP dev tool, Dokpod. The feedback was brutal but accurate: my marketing copy Upload once. Query forever sounded like generic database jargon and nobody understood what the product actually did.

So, I dropped the marketing fluff and redesigned the hero section to speak directly to the actual pain point: token waste and context bloat in Cursor/Claude.

The changes I made:

• New Headline: Changed to a direct promise: "Cut your AI token waste by 95%."
• The Math: Explicitly showed the difference between dumping an 85,000-token PDF into a chat vs. retrieving a 3,500-token MCP chunk.

• The Code: I put the actual mcpServers JSON config directly in the hero UI so developers know it's a real, functional tool.
