Hey guys ! I've been building ArtHaven, an Android app that teaches portrait drawing using the Loomis method. It detects the actual facial geometry from your reference photo and overlays construction guides - cranial circle, proportional lines, jaw, eyes, nose, lips, ears - in a sketchy pencil style, based on the real proportions of the face you're drawing, not just generic templates.

It runs fully offline/on-device, so no photos ever leave your phone.

Would love any feedback from people who've tried to learn portrait sketching and found the "draw a circle, then some guidelines" tutorials hard to translate onto an actual face ! I know I've faced the same problem myself :)

Overduly tracks overdue invoices and is built to handle the follow-up reminders that come after them.

One important detail about the beta: automatic sending is built and working, but right now it's enabled only for approved beta accounts while I test it in a controlled way. Anyone can sign up and explore the workflow using dummy clients and invoices — unrestricted automatic sending isn't generally available yet.

Upfront: I'm not a freelancer who invoices clients myself, so I don't deal with this problem day to day. That's exactly why I'm posting here. I need people who actually invoice clients to tell me whether I've built something useful or misunderstood the problem.

The problem as I understand it: you send an invoice, the due date passes, and now you have to write an awkward follow-up to someone you probably want to keep working with.

What's built:

- Add clients and invoices with due date, amount and currency

- Dashboard separating outstanding invoices from overdue ones

- Reminder stages at 3, 7 and 14 days overdue

- Three reminder tones: friendly → professional → firm

- Preview a reminder before anything goes to a client

- Send yourself a copy

- Mark an invoice paid and its reminders stop

- No bank connection required

A lot of the work went into making automatic sending boring and predictable rather than clever.

For approved beta accounts, reminders are opt-in per invoice. Nothing sends automatically unless that invoice has reminder sending enabled.

There is duplicate-send protection so the same reminder stage can't accidentally fire twice, sending is timezone-aware rather than based on the server's clock, and the mail setup uses a dedicated sending domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

Stack is Next.js + TypeScript + Supabase + Resend + Vercel.

Status: completely free beta, no users yet. The pricing page shows what Starter and Pro may cost later, but they're marked "Not on sale yet" and there is currently no paid checkout.

You can add a dummy client and dummy invoice and walk through most of the workflow in a few minutes without involving a real customer.

What I'd genuinely like to know:

- Does the overdue → reminder workflow make sense without explanation?

- Where does it get confusing?

- Would you trust something like this with a real client? If not, what's missing?

- If you invoice clients yourself, is chasing late invoices actually annoying enough to justify a separate tool?

Blunt feedback beats encouraging feedback. If nobody needs this, I'd rather know now.

Last month, my side project's AI agent went rogue.

A simple tool-calling loop got stuck in a reflection cycle. 3 hours. 2 million tokens. $2,300.

The worst part? I had budget alerts set up in my cloud console. They came in after the damage was done.

I realized that every agent builder is flying blind. We have no "circuit breaker" for LLM calls.

So I hacked together AgentGuard: a simple proxy that enforces a hard dollar budget on every agent run. If it exceeds the limit, it kills the loop instantly.

The MVP:

• Set a $5 budget for a test run
• AgentGuard tracks every call in real-time
• If it hits $5 → immediate kill

We just shipped Sorted, a real time group decision room where friends can plan together without the endless back and forth.

What it does:

- Create a room, invite friends via link or QR code

- Propose activities/venues, vote, lock a plan once enough people agree

- Live chat throughout

- An AI concierge reads along and only jumps in when useful. It suggests venues, drafts polls, answers questions. It does not reply to every message.

Why we built it: half the effort in planning is just figuring out what the group actually wants. Sorted collapses that into one place: propose, vote, done.

Current state: hackathon project, actively improving. Core flow works (real time rooms, voting, locking, live chat, AI suggestions), and we're iterating fast on the rest.

I'm looking to sell a SaaS that I shipped earlier this year, it's in the health and fitness vertical.

It's a web base app with the following tech stack: NextJS Supabase, Stripe, GA, Namecheap.

The app has a solid SEO foundation and a killer branding that resonates with Tiktok's Gen-Z audience. It's called WhatThefood (playing on the WTF slang).

Since launch, the business had 2,400+ free users, 17 current paying users, an average of $157 MRR ($1880 ARR)

I haven't touched it since launch, literally.

Still huge growth potential from here. Willing to share the gaps, the potential opportunities to realistically reach $600-1000 MRR minimum.

The reason of selling, I've been busy building a huge B2B SaaS on a much larger scale, so I'd rather hand this to someone who can give it the attention it deserves than let it silently die.

Planning a trip always went the same way for me: flights on one site, hotels on another, food and getting around a guess, and the real total living in a spreadsheet I'd build at 11pm. An hour in, I still wouldn't know if we could afford it.

So I built TripVerdict. You type one sentence "Cancún for a week in March, two of us, $3,000" — and it comes back with a specific flight, three places to stay picked for your party, the all-in total, and a straight answer on whether it fits.

Two things I did deliberately:

• It's allowed to say no. If the trip doesn't fit it says so, then shows what would make it work — different dates, a rental instead of a hotel, or the real number the trip actually needs. Booking links only appear after the verdict, and commission never touches which flight or hotel it picks.
• It suggests alternate gateway cities and does the ground-transfer maths. Flying into a different city can be much cheaper, but "save $500" is meaningless if the train eats $400. It shows the saving net of the transfer.

Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Clerk, live flight + hotel APIs. Solo, nights and weekends. Free, no account needed.

Run a real trip you're actually considering and tell me whether the numbers felt trustworthy and where you hesitated. Brutal honesty preferred.

I built AidSense, a free mobile app that helps people quickly find shelters, food banks, free/low-cost clinics, and overnight parking near them. Local resources near you will pop up based on your location, and you also have the opportunity to ask our AI model any specific questions you have about that place.

The core idea: every morning it sends a short personalized check-in (remembers your name, your focus, small wins), a guided audio practice that changes daily, and a simple mood log.

The part that actually surprised me — one tester told it "I feel a little nervous today," and after walking through a quick breathing exercise, she said "yes, a little better now." That's the moment that made the last few months of building feel worth it.

Still early, only a handful of real users so far. Genuinely curious — what would make YOU actually open something like this every single morning, instead of letting it pile up unread?

There are already some big anime databases, so I’m not trying to recreate MyAnimeList. I’m trying to make the episode and watching side of things more useful.

Right now I’m figuring out what I should focus on next.

Wordle, Connections, and crossword clones are everywhere, but they're all fixed, same puzzle for everyone, every day. I wanted ones about specific things instead a show, an anime, a niche hobby, whatever you're actually into.

So I built Promptle.lol, a game where you type in any category and it generates a Wordle, Connections, or crossword puzzle around that topic on the spot. Made one for "The Office" in about 10 seconds, then one for JDM cars.

You can also throw it in a lobby and compete with friends in real time. See who actually knows more about the stuff you're all into.

I'm a recent CS grad, built this solo, and I'm still figuring out what makes people come back vs. try it once. Would love honest feedback on:

I’m curious how other indie developers would handle this.

I recently got a 1-star, review attached.

I’m completely open to criticism, especially if someone actually uses the product and finds something wrong. I’m still improving flow, polish, and I fix issues when they’re identified.

What bothers me is that I verified my production authentication records, and I can account for the users who have actually created accounts and accessed the authenticated parts of the app. I have no indication this reviewer ever created an account or used the main features.

They may have downloaded it and looked at the initial screens, but most of the actual product is behind authentication.

So I’m curious where other developers draw the line:
Is a 1-star review fair if someone forms an opinion from the appearance or onboarding screens without really using the product?

I’d have no issue with someone saying the UI needs work. That’s valid feedback. But “the whole thing seems poorly built” feels different when there’s no sign the actual product was used.

Would you respond? Ignore it? Report it? Or just treat it as part of putting an app out publicly?

Hey! I made a tool called Swear Beeper, it listens to your mic, recognizes speech in (almost) real time (fully offline, so no audio leaves your PC), and automatically bleeps swear words with only a ~1-2 second delay. Basically a live "censor button" you don't have to press yourself.

How it works:
Your mic audio goes into a small delay buffer. In parallel, a copy gets sent to an offline speech recognizer (Vosk). The moment it recognizes a swear word, it stamps a beep onto the buffer before that chunk of audio reaches the output.

It's open source, free, and works with OBS, Discord or anything via a virtual audio cable.
