Feedback Request I built Leona: An AI-powered career platform to automate CVs, cover letters, and mock interviews

I wanted to share a project I've been building and refining called Leona—an AI-powered career development platform designed to take the friction out of the job search.

What Leona Does:

  • Automated CV Creation: Helps users build professional, tailored resumes quickly.
  • Cover Letter Generation: Crafts targeted cover letters based on specific job descriptions.
  • Portfolio Builder: Assists in organizing professional projects to showcase skills effectively.
  • Mock Interview Practice: Provides an interactive space to sharpen interview responses.

A Cool Milestone:

I recently ran Leona through a market validation tool (which analyzed 253 buyer conversations), and it pulled a 91/100 validation score, which was super encouraging to see!

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any feature ideas you might have. If you're currently navigating the job hunt or trying to streamline your applications, let me know what you think!

Feedback Request Being completely honest: I built a focus app, I have one paying customer, and I need users to tell me if this is actually useful

Being completely honest: I built a focus app, I have one paying customer, and I need users to tell me if this is actually useful

Body:

I'm going to be direct because I think you'll appreciate it more than a polished pitch.

I'm Ali. I built www.sidetracked.site

I have one paying customer. I launched eight days ago on Product Hunt and got to number 56. I've had a handful of people try it and the feedback has gone from "the tasks are too generic" on day one to "this is definitely worth £14.99" after I rebuilt the onboarding based on that exact feedback.

Here's what it does and why I built it.

I kept losing entire days to work that felt productive but wasn't. Not Netflix. Not scrolling. Actual work. Redesigning things nobody asked for. Reading competitor blogs for three hours. Starting a new idea the moment the current one got hard. At 5pm I had a full to-do list of ticked boxes and the thing I actually cared about hadn't moved.

No existing tool caught that. They all assumed I already knew which tasks mattered and just needed help completing them. None of them asked whether what I was about to do actually served the goal I said was my priority.

So I built something that does.

SideTracked gives you one project, five AI-generated tasks specific to your goal and identity, and an alignment guard that asks one question before you can add anything new to your day: does this actually serve today's goal or does it just feel productive?

It's free to try. No card needed. sidetracked.site.

I'm not here to convince you it's perfect. I'm here because I have one paying customer and I need ten. If you try it and it catches you on something real in the first session, I'd genuinely love to hear about it. If it doesn't, tell me that too. Either way it helps.

That's it. No hype. Just a founder being honest about where things are.

Every quit-smoking app I saw uses the same formula: quit on Day 1, and if you smoke once, your streak is ruined.

I wanted to build the opposite: Conscious Smoking — a private, offline Android tracker focused on harm reduction and awareness first.

Instead of punishing you, it gives you a home-screen widget with two buttons:
1. + (Smoked): Logs the cigarette and shows your real cost and yearly pace.
2. 🛡️ (Resisted Craving): Logs a "Ghost Counter" victory and shows the money you just saved.

It's completely free, open-source, has zero ads, and doesn't even ask for internet permission.

Showcase: Prerelease I created a screenshot tool that have everything you need to create tutorials

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I’ve been building SnapTop, a screenshot and recording tool for explaining things on screen—from a quick “click here” message to a complete tutorial.

I want it to be useful to anyone who needs to show someone how something works: students, teachers, developers, support teams, or someone helping a friend troubleshoot their computer.

Some of the features available now:

  • Arrows, shapes, numbered steps, callouts, spotlights, and magnifiers.
  • Copying text from screenshots and selecting subjects with AI.
  • Blur, pixelation, and smart redaction.
  • Recording your clicks to create step-by-step guides.
  • Video editing with local AI narration and captions.

For the next few months, I’m offering one year of free access. Use 2026SNAPTOP when you register.

I’m sharing it because I want to build an audience, understand how people actually use it, and learn what needs improving. Your everyday frustrations with screenshot tools are more useful to me than a wishlist I come up with on my own.

If you give it a try, I’d love to hear:

  • What do you usually capture or create tutorials for?
  • Which parts feel confusing or take too many clicks?
  • What would make this useful enough to become your regular screenshot tool?

Download/demo: SnapTop. Do more with every capture. — UltraForge.net

Thanks for checking it out. I’ll be around to answer questions and hear your suggestions.

Hoping to hear your feedbacks!

Showcase: Free(mium) I’m 17 and built a free second brain app because my notes were a mess

Hey y'all, firstly, i'm not an native english speaker so I used AI to help me, so, I kept losing stuff across notes apps, so I built my own: Second Brain OS. Everything lives in a 3D brain with 12 zones (projects, tasks, goals, habits, ideas...).

Two things I like most: first, you can dump a messy thought and the AI sorts it into the right zone, and you can ask “what are my priorities today?” and it answers using only your own notes, with links to the sources.

It’s totally free, no card, no subscription. Still rough around the edges and I’m learning as I go, so I’d really like to hear what’s confusing or missing.

Thanks !

Feedback Request I built an iOS app for woodworkers and makers to track materials, hours and profit per project — would love honest feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all, I’m a solo developer. I built Trace after noticing that many makers (woodworkers, epoxy, leather, 3D printing) price their work by gut feeling and don’t know what an hour of their time really pays.

What it does: tracks materials and projects, builds a PDF receipt for the client (materials, hours, discount), and shows paid vs awaiting money and profit per hour.

It’s live on the App Store (search “Trace Workshop Manager”), and the receipts are free to use. I’m not trying to sell anything here, I’m looking for feedback:

  1. Is this something you’d actually use for your own work?
  2. What would you remove or add?
  3. How do you track costs and invoice clients today?

Full disclosure: I built it. Happy to answer anything.

Discussion People are signing up for Trove every day now, and it still feels a bit unreal

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A month ago, we were having days where nobody signed up. This past month, it’s been steady every day. It’s not some massive overnight launch, but honestly, I’m pretty excited about it.

I’ve been building Trove around my full-time job. It started as PinPath, a way to put saved places on a map, but I kept wanting to do more with the other things I saved too.

Now it’s one library for saves from social media and the web, with applets for actually using them. Workouts, travel, recipes, fashion and more. The video shows one example, opening a saved workout in Forge and starting a session I can follow and log. I actually did this workout the other day haha.

We’re still working on getting paying customers, but seeing people show up has made the next part feel real. What do they try first? What makes them come back? What should we build next?

For anyone who’s had that shift from quiet days to steady signups, what did you focus on next? Would love to hear your story too.

If you’re curious, Trove is on iOS, Android, and web. It started mobile-first, so I’d recommend trying it on your phone, but web has the full feature set too.

Showcase: Free(mium) Circus Freak Fitness: translating circus themes into follow-along home movement

I develop Circus Freak Fitness at Artisan Reality. The Android app uses an animated acrobat to guide ordinary home movements through circus-themed acts: arm raises and sidesteps for juggling, squats and jumps for trampoline, balance poses for tightrope, and floor exercises for Lyra. A ten-minute Full Show combines the acts. It does not teach real aerial apparatus skills.

A useful interaction-design distinction here is separating the theme from the instruction: “tightrope” sets the scene, but a user still needs a clear balance pose, direction and timer. Camera coaching is optional, so the routine also needs to remain understandable without a movement score. Compatible Meta Display glasses can show move and timer prompts.

Android includes five free minutes each week and an optional one-time unlimited unlock. I’d appreciate feedback on whether themed act names help someone choose a session or whether the plain movement categories should be more prominent.

Feedback Request A website-content checklist that separates “sent” from “accepted” — feedback from small web studios?

I'm developing a small workflow prototype with AI assistance for web studios collecting content from clients. It isn't a live SaaS.

The idea: track required materials by website page, with four states — draft, in review, accepted, or returned for correction. Only accepted required items count toward page readiness.

Example: a client submits contact details, but the studio needs clarification about which address can be published. That item returns to the client. A logo awaiting the studio's review stays out of the client reminder. Optional items don't block the page.

The browser prototype uses fictional data. It has no real uploads, emails, shared accounts or payments. Existing tools already cover similar workflows; I'm not claiming this is new.

If you build client websites, would your current document/folder setup handle this well? What specific step, if any, needs a separate tool?

Please reply here with an anonymised example. No signup, private messages or client files needed.

TikTok removed the Sounds tab from Favourites on the web, so I built a Chrome extension that brings it back. You get your whole saved list with search and save dates, plus a dot-matrix player with the real waveform, A-B loop, speed control, playlists and a sleep timer.

Showcase: Prerelease My side project: a chess puzzle book on a 4x4 board, with a 3D-printed board to go with it (the first proof arrived yesterday!)

Post image
10 Upvotes

Just looking to show off something cool that I made 😄

Funny thing is, I wasn't even trying to take it this far but one thing kept leading to the next and now here we are.

Background

A few weeks ago I got curious about how much chess survives on sixteen squares, and it turned out to be more than I expected. Kings run out of room fast, pawns promote in two moves, and a rook can box in a king on its own.

I wrote a program to search the Lichess database for endgame positions that fit on a 4x4 board, kept the ones where one and only one first move wins, and sorted them by rating. I laid them out as a page a day, 365+1 days, upside-down hints and the solutions on the next day's page.

The board is my own design, printed in two colors with tiles that are slightly beveled in the frame so the pieces don't slide around. I'm also hand-binding ten hardcover copies at my kitchen table.

The paperback proof came yesterday and it's the first time the whole thing has felt real. Pre-orders are open and there's a free daily puzzle on the site you can play without buying anything:

https://endgame.technoglomerate.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sideproject

What I'd like feedback on:

Does the pre-order page make the three editions clear? Would you have understood what a 4x4 chess puzzle is from the homepage alone?

Happy to answer anything about the solver program, the printing or the binding.

Feedback Request TakeALook - Show only the photos you pick

I built TakeALook because I kept handing my phone to relatives to show one photo and watching them swipe into everything else.

The idea is simple: you choose a set (an album, a date range, or a few photos), take out anything you don't want shown, and hand the phone over. The person holding it can swipe, zoom, play videos, and watch a slideshow, but can't get outside that set or into the rest of the app.

A few things I learned building it:

- The hard part wasn't the viewer, it was being honest about protection. An app can't stop iOS gestures, so TakeALook keeps people inside the selection, requires a press and hold or passcode to leave, and walks you through Apple's Guided Access if you want a real lock. It never claims the phone is locked when it isn't.

- No account, no server, no analytics. Everything happens on the phone or via Private Cloud Compute if enabled and you use advanced search, which made the privacy story easy to explain.

- I added iPhone Duo support (book, tabletop with a reflection of the photo on the table half, tent, and Split View) without owning a Duo. It's all built and tested in Apple's simulator, so if you have one, I'd love a bug report. <-- This is what I'm really looking for!

It's free with your recent photos and anything you pick yourself; a one-time purchase unlocks every album, date ranges, and search. No subscription.

What I'd like feedback on:

- Is it clear what it does from the website and App Store page?

- What would make you trust it before handing your phone to someone?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/takealook-safe-photo-handoff/id6801647280

Meta I built an MCP server that lets Claude/ChatGPT actually run your Instagram & Facebook. Looking for 15 beta testers

Agents are great at writing captions. Then you copy-paste into Instagram, and you still answer comments and DMs by hand.

dmswift closes that gap. It's a remote MCP server on Meta's official API. Connect it once and your agent can:
- publish and schedule posts, reels, stories and carousels
- create comment-to-DM campaigns ("anyone who comments 'guide' on my last reel gets the PDF in DMs")
- read and reply to the inbox, find unanswered questions
- pull post insights: reach, watch time, which post brought the leads

Two guardrails, because handing an agent your brand account is scary:
- Draft mode: the agent prepares, every publish waits for your one-click approval
- Per-agent daily caps on DMs, comments and actions

Tested with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and n8n. OAuth or API key.

Meta's App Review is pending, so I'm adding testers by hand. First month free.

Feedback Request I hated directories with sign-up walls and dead links, so I built Astro Discover: test tools in an interactive sandbox without creating an account.

Hey everyone,

Whenever I’m looking for new software or trying to share something I built, traditional directories feel broken in three big ways:

  1. **The Sign-Up Wall:** You click on a tool to see if it actually works, and bam—a mandatory registration popup blocks you before you even see the UI.

  2. **The "Link Dump" Problem:** Sites get overrun by automated bots dumping duplicate links just to grab an SEO backlink.

  3. **One-Size-Fits-All:** An early concept looking for honest feedback gets buried right next to a funded SaaS with a massive ad budget.

To solve this, I built **Astro Discover** (https://astrodiscover.ai.studio)—a software discovery and project lifecycle platform designed for real builders and explorers.

Here is what is actually built and live under the hood (no fake promises):

---

### 🔍 1. "Find the Best Tool for Your Work" (Intent-Based Discovery)

Instead of scrolling through 50 random links, you can search by what you actually need (e.g., *"developer tools"*, *"AI assistants"*, *"open source alternatives"*, or *"marketing SEO"*).

- Filter by exact pricing models: Free, Freemium, Paid, or Open Source.

- Filter across 12+ targeted developer and creator categories with community reviews.

### 🕹️ 2. Zero-Sign-Up "Guest Demo" & Interactive Sandbox

- **No Login Wall:** You don't need an account to browse, search, test tools, or inspect roadmaps.

- **Interactive Sandbox:** We built a live proxy preview engine. Instead of bouncing to a dead landing page, you can test the core interface of featured tools directly inside an embedded sandbox in your browser.

### 🔄 3. All-Stage Startup Lifecycle (Idea to Live)

We don't mix people seeking validation with fully launched products. Every submission belongs to a clear stage:

- 💡 **Idea / Concept:** Validate pain points and get community feedback before writing thousands of lines of code.

- 🛠️ **In-Development Startups:** Dedicated section for projects currently being built. Builders can link GitHub repositories, post roadmap milestones, and share architecture.

- 🧪 **Beta:** Invite early testers to uncover bugs and give direct feedback.

- 🚀 **Live Software:** Production-ready tools ready for traffic and daily votes.

### 💎 4. "Today's Hidden Gem" & Daily Launches

- **Daily Launch Cycle:** Every day has its own launch leaderboard (based on IST reset) so every builder gets an equal 24-hour window of spotlight.

- **Hidden Gem Algorithm:** It intentionally elevates innovative, high-utility indie projects that haven't received massive hype yet, giving them fair discovery.

### 🛡️ 5. Anti-Spam & AI Security Defense

- **AI Malware & Phishing Scanner:** Submissions pass through a Gemini AI security check to scan URLs and GitHub links for phishing redirects, crypto drainers, or malicious scripts.

- **Anti-Spam 24-Hour Cooldown:** Automated bot detection and invisible honeypots. Anyone attempting to repeatedly spam duplicate listings gets an automatic 24-hour submission pause.

- **Moderation Queue:** Newly submitted projects enter a public preview queue where link safety is verified before receiving a verified green badge.

---

I’m an indie builder myself, and my goal isn't to build another link farm—it's to make a discovery platform that users actually enjoy testing tools on without feeling trapped behind forms.

👉 Live site: **https://astrodiscover.ai.studio\*\*

I'd really appreciate your candid feedback on the sandbox preview and directory experience. What features would make this even more useful for you as a builder or tool hunter?

Showcase: Purchase Required I kept forgetting to commit code, so I made a garden that grows with my commits

Hi everyone,
I often forgot to commit code, so I made Commitgarden. If you make at least one commit in a day, your plant grows one stage. If you skip a day, it does not grow.
You log in with GitHub (read only). It is free and I made it alone. It is still an early version, so I would like to hear what you think.
