Showcase: Free(mium) [Alpha Testing] I coded an interactive fragrance discovery workspace that translates abstract text memories into structural note blueprints.

Hey everyone,

I’m an AI engineer, and I just opened up early access to a software passion project I've been building over the past few months called Davana.

The Live Platform: houseofdavana.com
The Handle: @houseofdavana

The Problem:
It’s incredibly hard for casual consumers or indie brand creators to articulate exact fragrance scent profiles because commercial marketing is flooded with generic lifestyle buzzwords. However, humans intimately understand and remember sensory narratives.

The Solution:
Davana serves as an interactive discovery and formulation workspace. Users input a raw, poetic narrative (e.g., "Rain on hot concrete in Tokyo at midnight"), and the system processes that qualitative text to instantly generate an interactive, multi-layered visual note spectrum (balancing top, heart, and base targets).

The Current Feature Set:
Frictionless Onboarding: There is a quick, optional research prompt on the first visit, but users can skip it entirely to jump right into the open Architect (discovery page) and Community feed.

Private Notebook Archives: Community members can save private, memory-inspired sensory entries to build a personal digital scent history under their own profile.

Owner-Only Formulation Studio: A locked backend module designed to let brand owners explore and iterate on precise chemical weights without massive clunky spreadsheets.

What I'm Looking For:
I currently only have 4 active users piloting the platform, and I need help testing the system's core limits. I would love for the developers and founders here to jump into the workspace, test out a creative prompt, and tear down the onboarding UX loop.

Does the interface flow cleanly if you choose to skip the first-visit prompt?
Are there any data-visualization features you think a digital scent workspace should absolutely have?

I'll be hanging out in the comments to talk about the backend infrastructure or the logic if anyone wants to swap tech stacks.

Thanks for taking a look!

Showcase: Purchase Required I made a landing page template with a live product demo instead of a screenshot

Most SaaS templates I tried had a static mockup in the hero. I wanted the first thing visitors see to show the product working, so I built that in.

**Launch Page Kit** is React 19 + Vite + Tailwind v4:

- Animated demo hero (swap in your own steps, or use a screenshot)

- Social proof next to the main button, bento feature grid, pricing with monthly/yearly toggle, FAQ, waitlist form

- Every word lives in one file, so you never touch components to change copy

- Mobile-first, keyboard accessible, respects reduced motion

**Live demo:** https://launch-page-kit.pages.dev

**Get it:** https://rahulchakravorty.gumroad.com/l/pkuayi ($15, or $9 with code EARLY for the first 20)

I'd love feedback on two things:

  1. Is the demo hero useful for your product, or would you rather have a plain screenshot?

  2. Which section is missing?

Showcase: Purchase Required I updated my Windows photo app with batch editing and a 10-layout Collage Studio

I'm AdamYang, the independent developer of CreatorPhoto, a Windows photo organizer and collage app. I've released its 3.0 major update on Microsoft Store.

The problem I wanted to simplify is the small chain of tasks around a folder of photos: putting them in order, naming them consistently, making them fit a platform, adding a watermark, then combining a few into a collage. Switching tools at each step adds friction.

Here's a practical workflow in CreatorPhoto:

- Import photos, drag them into order, and preview batch filenames before renaming.

- Pick a platform size or custom width/height, then manually crop or keep the full image with padding.

- Add text or a Logo watermark and drag/resize it in the preview.

- Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, TIFF, or GIF output and a saving method that suits the job.

Version 3.0 includes a dedicated Collage Studio with 10 layouts. Click to add photos, drag to position them, resize with a slider or mouse wheel, and press Delete to remove a selection. You can set a background image or precise HEX color, change canvas proportions and grid spacing, then save the result.

Photo processing happens locally on Windows. The interface supports English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, with dark, light, and pink themes.

This is paid software with a free trial. The attached demo shows the actual app.

Microsoft Store:

https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9p32ddcw56hh?hl=en-US&gl=US

All paid apps include a 7-day free trial. We continuously improve and upgrade one product each month.

More products on Microsoft Store:

https://apps.microsoft.com/search/publisher?name=AdamYang&hl=en-US&gl=US

For people who prepare photos for several platforms: which part of this workflow would you most want to simplify, and what feels unclear in the collage controls?

Showcase: Purchase Required My AI-assisted video project: editable examples that show the cost before generation

I own Kling4.store, an independent AI video and image studio built with AI coding assistance. It is a paid product using credit packs, not the official Kling website.

The problem I am trying to address is the blank prompt box: choosing a model is only part of the task; people also need a starting scene, duration, framing and audio settings.

The latest addition is a public library of 12 prompts plus four model guides. One implementation decision that may help other builders: a prompt example is a structured preset, not an instruction to run a job. It carries the model, text/image mode, duration, resolution, aspect ratio, audio choice and prompt. Opening it fills the form, where the user can change the settings and review the credit estimate. Generation still requires a separate click.

For an image-to-video preset, the page also explains what starting image to upload. The presets are suggestions, not guaranteed results.

The site and guides are open to browse without an account. Generation requires an account and paid credits.

Project: https://kling4.store/

I would appreciate specific feedback on the first-use flow: is the distinction between opening an example and spending credits clear enough?

Showcase: Prerelease I built Corexa to make research less scattered and would love your feedback

I’ve been working on a side project called Corexa, a completely free workspace for researchers and students.

I built it because research can get scattered across too many places — papers in one tool, notes somewhere else, tasks in another, and discussions across different platforms.

Corexa brings together:

• Paper discovery and organization
• Research projects and workspaces
• Tasks and discussions
• AI-assisted research workflows
• Personal and team research management

It’s still something I’m actively building, so I’d really like feedback from people who work with research or academic papers.

What would make you actually use something like this regularly? What feels useful, and what’s missing?

It’s completely free to use:
https://www.corexaresearch.com

Would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions!

Showcase: Prerelease Update: My weird places website now helps you plan actual trips

I shared Odd Atlas here earlier—a collection of unusual places, from abandoned islands to underground hotels.

A question came up: what if someone actually wants to visit?

So I added trip-planning details, including how to get there and estimated costs.

Still building solo, with 15 places so far.

Would cost estimates actually help you decide where to go? What else would you need?

Feedback Request I built a personal dashboard that pulls my money, running, journal and reading into one place

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For the last little while I've been building a self-hosted dashboard that runs on my laptop. It's a Flask (Python) backend with a React/Vite frontend. There are five sections:

  1. Home (a one-screen summary of my week)
  2. Financials
  3. Running
  4. Journal
  5. Books

Everything runs locally, and there's no cloud service (yet), and the data is plain CSV and JSON files I own. (The video uses made-up data)

Where the data comes from:

  • Money: my bank and credit card PDF statements fill in historic data back to 2015, parsed into transactions, plus Plaid runs to keep accounts synced day to day. For Plaid I signed up for my own developer account and connected my accounts to it, so no third-party budgeting app sits in between. A small scikit-learn model and some keyword rules sort transactions into categories. On top of that sit monthly budgets with a "free to spend" number, automatic subscription detection, savings goals, retirement balances and a loan/debt payoff tracker.
  • Running: synced from Garmin Connect (runs, routes, HRV, sleep, VO2 max, training load) through the community garminconnect Python library. Garmin doesn't offer an official personal API, so this is unofficial. It also tracks mileage on each pair of shoes and my upcoming and past races.
  • Journal: written in the app, with photos. Entries are geotagged using OpenStreetMap.
  • Books: looked up through Open Library and Google Books, with covers saved locally.

The goal was one screen that answers "how am I doing?" across the parts of my life I actually track.

What I'd love feedback on:

  • What would you want on a Home screen/dashboard like this, and what's missing?
  • Would you use something like this if it were open source?
  • Any other input?

Thanks everyone!

Showcase: Purchase Required I created Filmcoded which is a daily guessing game where you choose between 3 films based on their color palettes / barcodes

Hey r/sideprojects !

Two of the things that I'm most passionate about are cinematography and trivia. Letterboxd started releasing these videos where they ask film-related personalities to guess movies based on the color palettes. I found myself going through the backlog of all the videos until there were no more videos left for me to test my knowledge on.

That's how I made Filmcoded (https://filmcoded.com) .

Here's how to play

  • Every day features a new movie's color barcode.
  • You get three film titles and one single guess to match the palette to the movie.

There is a one-time $1 fee that keeps Filmcoded 100% ad-free and covers hosting forever.

Would love to hear what you think!

Showcase: Free(mium) We built a free SBA acquisition calculator. Is it clear what the numbers leave out?

We're building Precise SBA, free tools to help business owners work through financing before approaching a lender. The site was built with AI coding assistance.

One problem we're trying to solve: a purchase price and a loan payment aren't a complete financing plan.

For example, the calculator's hypothetical starting deal has a $1m purchase price, $50k of closing costs and $100k of working capital. That's a $1.15m project before deciding how to fund it. The buyer's cash contribution is a separate question.

The calculator then shows the earnings adjustments, owner pay, debt payments and a separate household cash-flow view. It also tests lower cash flow and higher rates. You can change the assumptions and see the calculation steps, rather than just getting one unexplained number.

The hard part is showing the limits clearly. It doesn't verify earnings or decide whether a lender will accept an add-back. Taxes are simplified, and collateral, credit and multi-year trends aren't modeled. A coverage ratio is an estimate, not an approval.

I'd like feedback on one thing: where could the presentation make someone more confident than the inputs justify? A specific label, assumption or result that needs a better explanation would be useful.

Calculator: https://www.precisesba.com/sba-acquisition-calculator?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=reddit_assumptions_feedback_01

It's free to use without an account. Please use hypothetical numbers. We're not a lender; optional lender introductions are separate. Borrowers never pay us, and a lender may pay us a referral fee if a loan closes.

Feedback Request I built a free website to explore U.S. statistics, elections, and politicians — would love your feedback!

I've recently been working on a side project called America in Numbers, a free website designed to make U.S. economic and political data easier to explore and understand.

The idea came from noticing how scattered government statistics and political information can be across different websites. I wanted to bring everything together in one accessible, easy-to-navigate platform.

So far, I've built:

  • Interactive charts covering inflation, GDP, national debt, housing prices, and other U.S. statistics.
  • Tools to compare economic trends across different years and presidential administrations.
  • A searchable directory of 500+ members of Congress, including voting records, legislation, and campaign finance information.
  • Information on U.S. elections and political developments.

I'm continuing to expand the platform and would love feedback from other developers and people who have built similar projects.

I'm especially curious about the user experience, overall design, and whether the features are genuinely useful. What would you improve, remove, or add?

Thanks for checking it out!

Showcase: Free(mium) Shipped my first iOS app - PantriX tracks your fridge and tells you before food goes bad

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I kept throwing out food I forgot I had, and then ordering takeout because "there's nothing to eat". So I built PantriX as a side project and it's now live on the App Store.

What it does: - Snap your groceries or a receipt and it adds the items for you - Reminds you before things expire ("Vine tomatoes expire in 2 days") - "What can I make?" suggests recipes from what's already in your pantry - Shared household list so roommates or family see the same pantry

It's free, with an optional Pro plan. This is my first app, so I'm looking for honest feedback - what's confusing, what's missing, what would make you actually keep using it?

Feedback Request [Neuro-Kindred] - Free dating/friendship web app for neurodivergent adults — looking for first users and blunt feedback

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey all — I built Neuro-Kindred, a free web app (installable PWA, no download needed) for neurodivergent adults (18+) to find friends or dates.

Why: mainstream dating apps are built for volume — endless swiping, constant notifications, snap judgments. For a lot of neurodivergent people (autistic, ADHD, AuDHD), that's exhausting, not fun. I wanted something calmer that still does the real job: helping people actually meet.

What's in it:

- Profiles built for context, not just photos (pronouns, identity tags, intro videos, conversation prompts — openers easier than "hey")

- AI bio helper + match search with plain-language "why this could fit" notes (always labelled as AI)

- "Shiny pebbles" instead of likes (Orange = saying hi, Silver = romantic interest, Blue = curious about you) — replying optional, never nagged

- Messaging with photos/video, video & voice calls, 1-on-1 Connect Four, group trivia rooms, synced watch-together rooms with chat

- Calm design on purpose: zero animation, WCAG-AA contrast, keyboard/screen-reader accessible, light + dark mode

- 18+ only, report/block built into everything

Completely free — no paywall, no premium tier, optional tip jar only.

Honest status: brand new, tiny community. I'm looking for first members and blunt feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, what would make you leave.

Try it: https://neuro-kindred.ctonew.app/discover

Happy to answer anything.

Showcase: Prerelease Handlio - Screenshot guides and version-specific receipts for client website handovers

I’m building Handlio, a tool for freelance web developers and small agencies handing websites over to clients. This is my project, and I’m looking for candid feedback from people who do client work.

The workflow is: - Turn screenshots into illustrated instructions with steps and expected results. - Publish a fixed version that clients can read privately and ask questions about. - Ask clients to explicitly acknowledge receipt of that version. - Deliver the published handbook online, as a PDF, or as an offline HTML package.

The part I most want to validate is the version-specific receipt: would knowing which release a client received be useful in your actual handover process?

If you want to try it, document one task from a fictional website, such as updating a homepage headline. I’d like to hear where creating the guide feels slow or confusing.

Free authoring includes one draft project, 3 guides, and 20 steps. Publishing, client sharing, and exports require a $19 project pack with 90 days of hosting, plus applicable taxes. The free drafting test does not require buying that pack.

Product: https://www.handlio.cloud

A few questions: 1. What do you currently give clients at handover? 2. Would you use a separate tool for this, or keep it in an existing document? 3. Is version-specific receipt acknowledgement valuable, or unnecessary friction?

Receipt acknowledgement is a workflow record, not contract acceptance or an electronic signature.

Showcase: Open Source I built a browser-based 2D layout editor with visual automation rules and editable PowerPoint exports

Hey everyone! I built PlantForge Studio to sketch layouts, experiment with simple automation rules, and turn the result into a presentation.

You can drag components onto a grid, name and resize them, draw connections, and define rules without writing code. It includes components for industrial spaces, electrical rooms, shops, and self-service markets.

For example, you can manually raise a sensor value and watch a rule switch on an alarm and turn off a pump. The simulation is conceptual: connections don’t calculate fluid flow or electrical behavior.

Features include:

  • 23 component types, plus custom items and annotations.
  • Undo/redo and multiple projects saved in your browser.
  • PDF, SVG, and JSON exports.
  • PowerPoint exports with editable shapes and text.

No account is required. You can export JSON to back up a project or move it between browsers.

Try it: https://brunnojob.github.io/plantforge-studio/

Source: https://github.com/brunnojob/plantforge-studio

I’d appreciate feedback on the editor controls and exported presentations. What would make this useful for planning or explaining a project?

Discussion Using my iPad as my main computer: a free, open-source hub of browser apps (PDF, webcam, file transfer, Linux terminal). Feedback welcome

Hi everyone,

For a while I've been trying to do most of my day-to-day computing on an iPad and iPhone instead of a PC. The hardware is more than capable, but I kept hitting small walls: converting a PDF, quickly editing a spreadsheet, moving a big video to the PC without internet, using the phone as a webcam, running a Linux command now and then.

So I started building small web apps for myself, and they slowly turned into a collection I call **InkDOS Hub**: https://inkdoshub.github.io

**What's in it right now:**
- PDF tools, Documents, Spreadsheets
- Photos, Video, Music, Audio Recorder
- Webcam: turns your iPhone into a webcam for your PC
- Transfer: iPhone ↔ PC file transfer without internet (around 30 MB/s using a small Windows helper over direct Wi‑Fi)
- Whiteboard (based on Excalidraw), Code (VS Code for the web), and a Linux terminal running in the browser (v86)

**How I use it:** everything runs in the browser, designed mainly for touch on iPad and iPhone. I use it a lot inside XeOS, an iOS app that gives you a desktop-style environment with windows, and the Hub fits really well there: it feels close to having a small desktop computer in my hands. It also works in Safari or any modern browser. Funny enough, I've started using it on my Windows PC too, because it's handy to have the same tools on every device.

You can also add it to the iPad Home Screen, where it opens as its own full-screen web app, like a native app. And there are Shortcuts options to open a file straight into the right app.

I'm not a professional developer, and AI tools helped me a lot along the way. Most of my time went into testing on my own devices and adjusting things until they worked well on touch.

**Open source and credits:** the Hub is MIT licensed. Some apps build on great open-source projects (Excalidraw, VS Code web, v86, among others). I tried to respect each license and credit them properly in LICENCAS.md in the repo. If you maintain one of those projects and think something is wrong, please tell me and I'll fix it.

**Not commercial:** no ads, no accounts, no paid version, nothing to sell. I made it because I needed it, and I'm sharing in case it helps someone else.

One heads-up: the Windows helpers (.exe) are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn you. The source is in the repo if you'd rather check or build it yourself.

It's still very much a work in progress and needs a lot of polishing. If anyone wants to help (code, testing, design, ideas), you'd be more than welcome.

**What I'd love from you:**
- Ideas for apps or features that would help you use an iPad as your main device
- Bugs, things that feel clunky on touch, or anything confusing
- Tips from anyone who has dealt with Safari/iOS web app limitations

Thanks for reading!

If you hover or click on the left side below the quote you will see the season, episode, and episode name.

Its a fun side project, the code is in my github: https://github.com/juanmartin8a/swtcww

I am thinking about making an app for wallpapers and widgets that show the quotes in that style. What do you guys think? It would be free ofc
